Thank you so much for making this video. I’m a 21 year old girl and my therapist just diagnosed me with bipolar 2 last week. It feels hard to except especially since I didn’t understand much about it. So I came to UA-cam to try and find videos of people I can relate to talking about what it’s actually like in their day-to-day lives, and there really aren’t very many videos that I’ve been able to find. This is just what I needed to hear. I relate to a lot of what you said, and it feels good to have a better understanding of the things I’ve been dealing with my whole life.
It's great to see videos on the less "acceptable" mental health conditions. Things like depression and anxiety are so widely talked about, yet the less "aesthetic" ones such as bipolar, BPD etc are never talked about unstigmatised. Well done for speaking out 💗
I was diagnosed with type 2 bipolar 10 years ago when i was 13 . It was tough and it still is. I am still under medication lithium . 😔 during the holidays it just got worse..I always walk away from toxic people that cannot understand 😢 i was suicidal too many suicide thoughts .
I feel you, I also have type 2. It’s so hard to function with my bipolar. I am fighting hard to ensure that it doesn’t get in the way of accomplishing my dreams :/
Thank you for this video. I think you're the first person so far that has described my feelings well. I keep thinking it's just not that bad. I like my personality. It's just the destructive part that's a downer. I love your drawing btw. I wish my "art" was as creative as yours haha.
hello! thank you so much for sharing this on youtube. Truth is I was diagnosed with type 2 bipolar disorder a few days ago (I had no idea, but I had some very bad depressive episodes where I attempted suicide, and only one hypomaniac episode which lasted for two years - I was so euforic) and I am desperately looking for answers and for a place where I can share my experience with people. Seeing your video really helps me cause now I'm going through a depressive episode and I really see no hope. But still, you gave me some, thanks❤
Hey I was diagnosed with bipolar type 2 at 18 and am now 23, teaching dance to children after not being able to work for years, living with my girlfriend and in a very stable place in my life. Been on different meds but tegretol has been a really good mood stabiliser for me and have been on it for three years. Allot of people miss hypomanic episodes especially if ur an extrovert like me but have done a lot of stupid impulsive stuff which is first big sign of the hypomania as well as over activity. It’s good u know a lot about it so u can keep track of ur moods. Keep strong 💪🏻
I’m also diagnosed with bipolar type 2 and I can’t agree more with everything you say! We need to spread awareness of this type of bipolar, as ppl might not even notice someone is struggling. Also you’re really cute 💞
Thank you so much for your comment, I am not sure how I have only just seen it but it has made me smile. I'm so glad my video has made sense and that people like you have found it! Hopefully I can keep spreading the awareness. Wishing you the very best 💗
Not only had I been diagnosed for 5 years now , I'm also a psychology student meaning I pretty much know the symptoms ins and outs but when I get into an episode it feels like that's my mood and will he for the rest of my life , this is especially the case when I'm depressed, I find it hard to think of any mood .
Thank you so much for this - I got diagnosed earlier this month, and I appreciate you sharing your experience and putting this out there to help others!
Amazing. I was diagnosed with BDD last year. Toughest journey so far, especially how its displayed here in the states and how nobody really takes it seriously. But it's good to always hear other people's experience, it gives hope to the hopeless. Fuerza ❤
I just found out a few weeks ago that I have Bipolar 2. I’m a 20 year old girl in Washington, United States. And it’s very hard. I don’t want to accept it. I don’t feel it. It’s very very hard. This video helps so much. Thank you
@@maurilio1294 I don’t feel like I have bipolar like it’s almost seems unreal kinda how she said. When you’re first diagnosed like I have been it doesn’t feel real like you don’t feel like you actually have it because of the stereotypes people portray around it but when you dig deeper it’s a lot more common
I know a lot of people who have Bipolar Disorder and they have a pretty normal life with medication, they are able to work. Don't worry, you are a beautiful young women and you will have a beautiful life:-)
This was so helpful! I have bipolar Mixed Affective Disorder so I only ever get mixed episodes, but you’ve explained your experiences so well. Plus your box is so cute! I didn’t know that about the Winnie The Pooh characters either x
Thank you and sorry for the late reply. I really appreciate this comment, I am glad it helped. I don't know if they 100% were but if you google the stuff about it, it's so fascinating. xx
thank you for your video! it definitely helped explain and validate my feelings and experiences quite a lot. i haven’t been officially diagnosed but if i do i feel like i would ease into it because of how you explained it and how it isn’t a death sentence just need to manage it :) thank u for making this video and i hope you have a great day ✨
Thank you! I have Bipolar type 2 as well and I'm from Australia, I love this video as it's so relatable and I actually make mental health videos on my UA-cam channel and I've found the same issue where there is not much content online that really represents the disorder ♥️
I was formally diagnosed last week after being told my CAMHS (10 years ago!) that there was no evidence of it. I'm 28 now. Thank you for making this video, I was seeking the same things as you after being diagnosed - someone talking about their experiences and how they live with it.
Thank u I need help but I'm scared of the stigma fr but I'm scared if I don't get help of what will happen. I've bawled because yesterday i watched a 2 HR doc that described me to a T & it was type 2 bipolar. I've been actually diagnosed woth CPTSD & Gad & panic disorder but I beleive I'm 100% misdiagnosed & mistreated.

28?!? I got a proper diagnosis yesterday, and I'm 20. I can't imagine how difficult it must've been. I hope you're doing well now
