Tebogo's legs gave up at the last 1-2 steps, causing his upper body to lean back and fell after the finishing line. Tebogo was actually ahead of Coleman up until the very last step. What a race! Hope Tebogo didn't get a significant injury.

Tobogo looked like a misstep at the start of his early lean and slightly sprained his ankle. Coleman looked like he was really laboring that last 50 meters but still ran a great time this early in the season.
So interesting tidbit that no one seems to be mentioning: Tebogo just leaned at the wrong line. He leaned at the line before the numbers instead of after. Simple tactical error. It’s good for Tebogo to get genuinely pressed though. It’ll make him a better runner because, while he’s on the cusp, he’s going to continue falling short of those golds at this level without real pressure. But let’s stop digging the kids for the handful of times he hot dogged. It’s actually good for the sport for these guys and girls to get a little chippy.
Hey, these sprint are a freak of nature, it all depends on the day. Did the runner, have an argument with his girl that day? Did the coach chew him out unnecessarily? You never know about the sprints, even a small misstep will kill your chance. The season is just starting, wait till they get into top form.

Tebogo has the best downhill cruising last 100. His body didn't seem pressed but his face was like, "Oh crap!" The track scrapped him to the white meat. Ouch.
Glad Coleman got it, "BUT" TOBOGO really blew it. Not only did he lean too early, but when you start your track career as a young- very-young, you are taught to continue running thru your sprint another 2 or 3 yards "ALL-OUT !!" HE quit when he leaned. Go back to basics time.
