Roger Urricelqui uses Billy, Striker, and Uno

At Urricelqui ranch, replacement heifers are also dog-training cattle making for nice cows to handle at maturity. In this short clip, Billy, Striker, and Uno blindly go to the feed lot and bring heifers and bull back, put in corral, and set them back out again.

I’m in awe. Also am left wondering if the dogs know what to do in the initial part when they’re sent on a blind fetch because of past specific experience to teach it in this specific context, or if they just know to go looking for cows and bring them to Roger? Either way, it’s kind of mind blowing, even tho I know kelpies were bred for many generations to do exactly this.
