Sure, you can make it the day before. I personally think it is better to store it at the room temperature, because I think it tastes better than from the fridge. But if you have higher temperature at home (especially in summer) rather put it into fridge :). But in both ways I suggest you to try to cover it with some plastic (sachet) or lid or something like that so it would not dry out. By the way, I like to serve it with ice cream :) but that's my personal opinion, everybody likes something different. But you can try it if you want :)
