    What is the indicator that it’s time to swap them out? I loved mine at first, but they “seem”
    a little less effective now. Could be my imagination. I’m noticing hairline scratches even after working all 6 ending with green. Could they have microscopic silver partials embedded in them? Is there a way to clean them? Thanks for the wonderful video!

      The bristles will shorten as they are wearing down but ultimately if they are less effective than they once were you should swap them out. 3M are discontinuing these so if you would like to try something similar try the EVE range of radial disc polishers:

    Guess what. The inside of fly fishing ferruls ( the metal tube connectors for each fly rod section) can be hard to clean. The metal doughs up and oxidizes. Getting things to fit becomes an issue. These might be perfect. (My rod has very thick sections this thongs could fit into)

      Good idea. If the tubes are very small, you may also like the 1mm pin polishers by EVE: eternaltools.com/products/mini-rubber-silicone-pin-polishers

    Could I use these on something harder like agate?

    • @Eternaltools
      @Eternaltools  5 років тому

      if you're looking to polish or remove marks from agate then you will need to use a diamond based tool. Something such as diamond paste www.eternaltools.com/diamond-polishing-paste or diamond impregnated rubber polishers www.eternaltools.com/eve-diapol-diamond-polishers
