I feel like when she attacked Kratos and Atreus in the beginning she could’ve easily just cut the rope connecting them to the wolves, now they couldn’t get around as fast and they’d actually have to fight, plus ofc the wolves won’t be hurt

That and also since the last trilogy, Kratos vowed to never make a deal with the gods again. It always ends badly

Im late to this, but as a Norwegian, some of the words they say in old norse are still somewhat alike today, and if Sofna is one of them, then holy hell. Atreus sitting there, telling Fenrir to Fall asleep, to relax and let go, so that hes not is pain anymore is way sader than a start of any game deserves to be.
Also, love that Thor mentiones bloodpayments, as that was a real thing in the viking age, and we know that many of tje Jarldoms in Norway at least put in rules for it, so as to make sure two families couldnt just kill eachother cause of blooddebt. So murder was a big nono, but a blooddebt murder was ok, ONLY if it was a blooddebt against the original killers family/original killer. So if your brother killed someone elses brother, and the brother of the murdered man killes your brother as blooddbet, you werent allowed to kill back, as the blooddebt had been paid, and youd had no claim to one. HOWEVER, there was a legal way to kill without blooddebt, and that was a duel, which sometimes happened (or we think it did). It was even written about in a Soga ive had to read in my hisotry class, which talks about two men who had some big disagreement, I think it was over a blooddebt, and to end it once and for all as they couldnt come to an agreement, they both went to an island with witnesses, both got a weapon, and then went to their own part of the island. They could then kill eachother once they met in battle, the witnesses were there to say that the dual had been done fair and square and that any and all blooddebt and disagreements between the families would then be over.
Also love how they talk and give importance to dreams, as it was belived by the norsemen that all dreams had meanings and could help you know what may lies ahead or how to solve a diffucult task at hand.

It's so funny seeing people in chat act like whenever someone is referring to Kratos as the "God of War" that it's supposed to be them referencing the title of the game and not the actual position in a pantheon.

I love Charlie, so don't get me wrong, he's friggin' hilarious, but...good god, I really don't get the appeal of watching someone who just can't seem to ever completely turn the biting sarcasm off play a game like this. It just seems like it would ruin the whole experience, both as a player and a viewer; I mean, unless you actually didn't like the game, I guess. And I'm saying this as someone who is extremely sarcastic herself and who adores dry, sarcastic wit. That's why I consider his commentary videos to be god-tier. But...idk, there's a time and a place, ya know? And from what I understand Charlie loved this game, so I guess he's just like Adam from YMS in that he can never seem to just turn the sarcasm switch off for a bit. Not completely, anyways 🤷♀️
