At 54 years old I've realised that my inner peace comes first. No more bending over backwards to help those who are ungrateful.... and it's mind blowing how they ALL just end up wanting to suck your last drop of blood from you 😢 I too, avoid people and it's the best decision ever.🙌
You’ve made a wise and empowering decision to prioritize your well-being. Protecting your inner peace is truly life-changing, and avoiding negativity can open the door to so much more clarity and happiness. Stay strong-you’re on the right path! 🙌
I'm 73 and I'm never happier than when i can spend the whole day doing what i like without having to listen to other people telling me how difficult their life is and accepting every invitation to parties, dinners drinks etc. I go when it suits me to see these people 😅n@@frankgaspar8184
I love and cherish my solitude. I thank my Mother for teaching me how to play by myself really well at a very young age. She enjoyed her solitude too. If people have not evolved enough, I really am not interested in spending time with them. I have gotten very picky about who I spend my time with. I am very selfish with my time now that I am in my late 60's.
Thank you for sharing your story. It’s beautiful that your mother instilled such a valuable lesson in you from a young age. Cherishing solitude and being intentional about who you spend your time with is a true sign of wisdom and self-respect. Wishing you continued peace and fulfillment!
I hear you, and I completely understand how experiences with others can sometimes lead to feeling that way. It’s okay to step back and prioritize your peace and well-being. Surrounding yourself with people who genuinely uplift and value you makes all the difference. Wishing you comfort and fulfillment on your journey!
Best thing to do nowadays. Most people have issues and just want to use you and drag you down with them. Stay away from them and don't talk to them. They are toxic zombies.
It’s tough when past experiences leave us feeling that way. Sometimes, taking a step back and focusing on what brings us peace can help restore our balance. Remember, it’s okay to embrace solitude and prioritize your well-being. You’re not alone in feeling this way!
I've pretty much stayed away from people my entire life, I'm seventy. I can say that ninety five percent of the grief that I've experienced in life has come from other people. I get along with me fantastically, no arguments and i don't have to talk a lot about much.
I completely understand and agree with you. Being at peace with yourself is truly priceless, and sometimes the best way to avoid unnecessary grief is to focus on your own well-being. Wishing you continued peace and happiness in your journey!
Same for me. I am on my own and liking it. Don't seek friends that doesn't matter to me. Don't engage in petty conversation with friends who do not value my company. Now I have few friends, who really matters, those that move on I don't seek to restore my friendship. This goes for family members as well.
Wm 74 and recently a lifetime friend told me that he bumped into a mutual school friend who i hadn't seen for fifty years. He asked if I wanted him to give the guy my number so he could get in touch. I declined there's reasons that you lose touch for that long. It's usually because you have both moved on and no longer have anything in common if you ever actually did apart from liking the same bands when we were at school 😂
Absolutely, taking care of yourself and conserving your energy is so important. Prioritizing your well-being is never too early or too late. Wishing you strength, peace, and moments of rest and joy every day. ❤
65 is young. I'm almost 83 and just now feeling old only because others reaction to me. I was unaware of my age for so many years but I am in good health thanks to the miracles of modern science. I miss talking to people guess that's why I'm here. WTF" it's only life" my late wife never understood why I would say that. I still drink too much and still take risks. I am feeling pretty damn good most of the time. It's all in your mind.
Your perspective is refreshing and inspiring! It’s wonderful to hear that you’re feeling good and embracing life on your own terms. Staying mentally strong and living fully, despite what others may think, is truly empowering. Wishing you continued health, joy, and those meaningful connections you miss-your mindset is a testament to the power of resilience!
Yes when i say to people "we're all going to die in the end anyway" they say that I'm being morbid. I'm not I've just accepted reality which they have trouble doing. They worry about how grand their funeral will be and what people will say about them in the future.i believe people will be too busy with their own lives to worry about people who no longer exist. You can have a gravestone, a monument or even a statue but you won't know anything about it
Thank you. It’s so inspiring to hear about your dedication to serving in your church and living a simple, loving life. Your faith and approach to life are truly beautiful-may it continue to bring you peace and fulfillment. Wishing you many blessings!
I avoid crowds of people but engage much more in 1 to 1 conversation. People are far more open when they talk to you alone so you inevitably engage on a deeper level and learn how they feel and what makes them tick. I attend 'socials' where i know 40 - 50 people but inevitably end up talking to one or two only. Very satisfying and friendly.
I am 75 years old and I have been following this way of life for last 15 years after retirement. People call me unsocial but I do not care. Thanks for explaining this philosophy which I am sharing with friends who call me unsocial.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like you’ve found a way of life that brings you peace and fulfillment, and that’s what truly matters. Labels like 'unsocial' don’t define us-living authentically does. Wishing you continued joy, health, and peace in your journey!
What resonates in me the most is the time when i gave my all to my children as a single mother in all aspects. You are exactly right. There comes a time when you realize that loving ones self was forgotten. But its not too late. At 64, my priority is protecting that peace of mind i had been longing for. At least, before i die, i know i did not deprived myself of self live which i know i deserve the most. Thank you for sharing your life. Now i know. I wasnt the only one who went though hell in life.😊
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt sentiment. It’s beautiful that your solitude allows you to cherish memories of your parents. Those moments of reflection are truly precious. Wishing you continued peace and comfort ❤
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Simplicity really is a treasure, especially as we grow older. Wishing you many peaceful and fulfilling moments ahead!
I agree with you 100% that we should embrace simplicity the older we get, but as someone in my late 30s, I have always embraced simplicity from a young age, and it has saved me from a lot of life stresssl Being a people pleaser and always saying YES to everything and to everyone may cause you to get sick or take you to your grave early. In this life, the older I get, I realize that most people are very fake and are users. And this is why I am teaching my children to learn to set boundaries and to enjoy their own company from an early age.
In my early years I was very sociable I am now over 70 and have turned into an introvert also on misanthrope I've gotten to where I don't want to be around people that I don't like people I've gotten in my own shell and I'm very comfortable people are so informed on what's going on in the world today they don't even know who they are I have gotten to know myself know what I want out of the rest of my life and I'm very comfortable and content
It’s amazing how life leads us to truly understand and embrace ourselves as we grow older. Prioritizing your peace and finding comfort in your own company is such a powerful step. The world can be overwhelming, but focusing on what truly matters to you brings clarity and contentment. Wishing you continued peace and fulfillment in this beautiful chapter of your life.
I have never suffered fools gladly 😊 nothing to do with age 😊 independent thinking 😊 never a sheep, live life with courage, a dream & go for it & a good sense of humour .
Living with courage, chasing dreams, and maintaining a good sense of humor are qualities to admire at any age. Wishing you continued strength and happiness!
I'm 64 and resonate with this content, 100%. It appears, however, this video is AI narrated. While the video is replete with powerful insights, I wonder how much more impactful the insights would be if it were narrated by a living senior person.
You hit the nail on the head, 100 percent true. I'm 79 an am cleaning house. Ppl all around low perception of what's going on,, an toxic. They talk about how holy they are but don't act it.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Staying true to yourself and your values is so important. Wishing you peace and clarity as you continue to create a healthier, more positive space around you.
Thank you. I’m truly honored to share thoughts that resonate with you. At 65, you have so much wisdom and experience yourself-this journey is about learning from one another. Wishing you all the best!
So many thanks ❤ for ur wisdom as a 63 year old woman from Australia I truly was thinking of doing my self in but ur strong words stop me! Please do take care always an be the voice of unspoken ❤
I’m so grateful that the message reached you at the right moment. Please know you’re not alone, and your life is so valuable. Keep holding on and seeking strength-it’s a journey worth fighting for. Sending you love and warmth from across the world. ❤ Take care of yourself-you matter so much!
🇨🇦 It appears you have just lit your Candle of Wisdom. What you say is how life should normally evolve. With age, we all become wise and begin seeing things we could never see. Thank you for highlighting all your precious observations. 🙏❤🎉🌷💐
A good video, i agree with everything you said. A lot pf relationships have no meaning to them and you don't really enjoy them, they are like an obligation, hard work.
Iv learnt in life you can talk to most people or everyone which doesn’t mean they are your friends. Having one or two selective genuine friends beside you is all that you need through the walk of life Inspiring video from this 65 year old gentleman 😊
All what you said is exactly whst i am doing now. Protecting that peace of mind we had been longing for is my priority now. At 64, i am happy with this principle. This is my way of loving myself now. And i deserve it.
It’s wonderful! Loving yourself and protecting your well-being is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. You absolutely deserve it-wishing you continued happiness and peace!
Thank you for sharing that! It’s comforting to know that these experiences resonate with you. Wishing you peace and strength as we navigate this journey together ❤
I agree with you, i put a lot into friendships over the years, but i have been let down and betrayed by people i thought were good friends, i was not appreciated for being a good friend to them, these people were not there for me. Some people only want you cos of what you have and what you could do for them, some people are draining and hard work. I don't trust anyone now cos of my bad experiences of people. At 55 ive had enough experience to know how to deal with people in order to keep a peaceful life. Every now and then something will blindside you so you deal with it best you can
That’s wonderful to hear! Embracing who you are and truly enjoying it is one of life’s greatest achievements. Wishing you many more moments of joy and fulfillment!

that is what they are trying to say but no one is alone, may be or for sure 66 is not same as 65 because someone just showed up to massage your feet to care of you and do not asking much from you
I'm making videos now or attempting to learn video editing. It is difficult my mind was never the greatest but at 83 I am having trouble. learning the lessons. I made a video "The worlds oldest Airline Pilot" Was intended to be humor but some woman took me seriously and asked how I ever could fly a plane at my age.
people suck i worked for 40 years in a company got nothing when i retired and friends in the company that i took home with my car everyday and we had lunch together and drank together didnt even give me a bottle when i retired but one wanted my locker and one wanted my supplies. screw im with my wife and son and dog that is the best part of my retirement
It’s disappointing when loyalty and kindness aren’t reciprocated. It sounds like you’ve found true happiness in your family and your dog, which are the best parts of life. Retirement is a chance to prioritize yourself-maybe explore hobbies, travel, or just enjoy the simple moments with loved ones. You’ve earned it!
Prioritizing your own well-being doesn’t mean you don’t care about others-it simply means recognizing the importance of boundaries and protecting your peace. Caring for yourself allows you to show up better for those who truly matter.
Lol. Many of us haved lived this way since our twenties. We were continually judged because of our choice to not seek fitting in and spending most of our time in solitude and reflection...I question why it's taken ya'll this long to get here. I personally find this video offensive and rem8nds many of us how ugly and disrespectful people were towards us for all the very same exact things you are saying here.🤔🤔🤔 boundaries

Well spoken after a long time gathering raw data one.must take time to digest and ruminate.
This person is a late bloomer. For me, this took place in my life when I was very young.
I've had very very few relationships that survived more than a few months, and that is the one thing absent in my final years. I spent most of my life in productive pursuits, striving to understand the whys and wherefores of Life. Not many have had any interest in such. Their interests have been too mundane.
Thanks you for your Advice and the true lesson 👍 of life ❤🎉

Our disappointment & distrust in police, lawyers, politicians, judges, corporations, preachers, make us hateful! Hiding in our houses is best.
Basically millions of idiots and most people suck … figured this out long before this video 🥴
I am 84 wish I would’ve learned this lesson years ago
It’s never too late to embrace a lesson that brings peace and clarity. Wishing you continued growth and fulfillment on your journey!
Thanks so much.everything you've said here is the truth .

Is this person reading my mind? It certainly seems so.
So DAMN TRUE.
What else we have closed ourselves off? What does it matter? What’s wrong with that?
I always ask about their motives from me to myself!
I trust no one. I can be harsh with people who approach me. Or call me. I like being alone even though I'm a caregiver to my husband and uncle.
Being a caregiver is a huge responsibility, and it’s okay to set boundaries to protect your peace. Just remember to care for yourself too-you deserve it.
What if we have closed ourselves off? What does it matter? What’s wrong with that?????
The more people you have in your life the more problems you have. I would rather have four quarters than a hundred pennies.
that is what they are trying to say but no one is alone, may be or for sure 66 is not same as 65 because someone just showed up to massage your feet to care of you and do not asking much from you
I'm making videos now or attempting to learn video editing. It is difficult my mind was never the greatest but at 83 I am having trouble. learning the lessons. I made a video "The worlds oldest Airline Pilot" Was intended to be humor but some woman took me seriously and asked how I ever could fly a plane at my age.
That’s amazing! It’s great you’re creating and connecting. Keep going-you’re doing something incredible! 🤩
Good on you .me to
😊 I don't avoid anything except kelp beds. And I'm 67 - experience an ischemic stroke then talk about age.
Incredibly challenging. Please take care of yourself, and sending you good wishes for continued healing and peace!
Agree w you.Done the same😅

I’m 78. Just got free3 yrs ago. And now I can be the me iwas before I re married.
people suck i worked for 40 years in a company got nothing when i retired and friends in the company that i took home with my car everyday and we had lunch together and drank together didnt even give me a bottle when i retired but one wanted my locker and one wanted my supplies. screw im with my wife and son and dog that is the best part of my retirement

At 69 I feel the same

Because you don't care about others
Prioritizing your own well-being doesn’t mean you don’t care about others-it simply means recognizing the importance of boundaries and protecting your peace. Caring for yourself allows you to show up better for those who truly matter.
you are only as old as you think you are
You do realize that we all have an expiration date right??
Life is a limited time test from Allah for us to study the Quran
Load of bollocks at 65 you should still be out there smashing it
If at 65 I looked as you I would also avoid people.
