Could the preaching of the Gospel to all peoples before the Lord's return be referring to this passage in Revelation 14?
"Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth-to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7 He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

It looks like the last call and last chance for people to repent and turn to God for salvation before the return of Christ.

I recall hearing my missionary church which was very zealous about missionary work saying that not all people groups had been reached with the gospel.
But this was many years ago. Is there any update on this? have they all been reached yet, or is there some left?.
I am pleased to hear a level headed approach saying that the end is not yet, that the signs at t moment are but preliminaries. there is too much hysteria in end time preaching and it is a relief to hear some, including yourself, who are not so infected

I agree that there is much hysteria in end-time preaching - I've heard it ever since the 70's. As for people groups reached with the gospel, check out joshuaproject.net/

I read your testimony many years ago and thought to myself. 'That is how I will search out the truth of all this.'
    Like a detective.
    Early non corrupted writings =witness
The Septuagint is an non corrupted manuscript of the late 3rd century BC; translated from the original Hebrew scriptures into the Koine Greek by 72 Hebrew scholars and scribes. Ordered by King Ptolemy. = Great witness
Learning the culture of the time and teachings = witness
Reading the old testament many times = witness
Reading and recognizing the prophecies given and the scripture fulfillment in the NT = witness
All the sayings of Jesus and the Apostles fulfilling the OT prophecies = witness
Learning and reading the original Greek = witness
Reading all the early church Father's
    Reading history = witness
Many years later and I can confidently say the following
There are 3 major ages/eons to this world/kosmos.
    Before the flood
After the flood = the first covenant
    Christ Jesus = new covenant
Jesus said in Matthew 13:33 "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto leaven which a woman took and hid in 3 measures of meal [ dough] until the whole was leavened [fermented]."
Matthew 23 is a whole chapter declaring judgment to that nation of Israel in the 1st century not some generation thousands of years into the future.
verses 35-36 "That upon you may come all
    the righteous blood shed upon
the earth, from the blood of
    righteous Abel unto the blood
    of Zacharias son of Barachias,
    whom ye slew between the
    temple and the altar.
Truly I say unto you all these things will come upon this generation."
The 3 records of this discourse are recorded in Mark 13 & Matthew 24 and Luke 21 and Luke 17 and parts in Luke 12.
In each the disciples said look at the stones and building of the then standing Temple. Jesus then replied "Not one stone will be left upon another that will not be thrown down." They then asked when and what signs and when is the end of the age, that age the 2nd age/eon, the end of the old covenant age. Christ's Messianic age then begins for the world.
The body of Christ is now the Temple of God and not a physical place nor will it ever be a physical place again on this current earth/ world.
The end of the age for them is not the end of the world as Matthew 24 says from the KJV. The word is G 165 Strong's age/eon and not G 2889 = kosmos/world. The end of the age for them was 70 AD.
The gospels of Matthew and Mark are condensed writings of Jesus' ministry over the 3 1/2 years, not in chronological order.
The gospel of Luke was written in the chronological order of events that's why the discourse is contained in different chapters.
Matthew 24:34 "This generation will not pass until all these things take place."
Luke 21:5-38 is the same discourse of Matthew 24 and again "This generation will not pass until ....verse 22 "For these be the days of vengeance which all things that are written might be fulfilled."
The same hyperbole and prophetic language of sun & moon and stars are made for dignitaries and princes and leaders of nations.
Look at Isaiah 13. This chapter is for the king of Babylon same prophetic language used and chapter 19 for the nation of Egypt.
Please people read both chapters and see how the Lord comes on a swift cloud and judges these nations etc....
Jesus was declaring the judgment to that nation of Israel the same prophetic language for the end of that age/eon - the old covenant age. Judging the nation, destroying the Temple and
Matthew 11:12 "Taking the kingdom from them and giving it to a nation producing the fruit thereof."
Making way for the new covenant age of King Jesus reign over the earth from the kingdom of heaven. Over this earth and world and in heaven, not upon this blood filled and sinful earth.
The 'Amillennial' view is the correct lens to understand.
The kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of God = same thing is outside of space and time and exists for eternity but this present earth will be burned up and God will create a new one after the resurrection and the great white throne judgment at the end of this current age.
    2 Peter 3
    Revelation 20:10-15
    Revelation 21:1-8
    Hebrews 1:12
    Psalm 102:26
    Isaiah 51:6
    Matthew 5:18

From the collective evidence of ALL of Scripture, I am convinced that there will be an interim period of 1000 years between the still future coming of Jesus to earth and the eternal state. Vast amounts of prophecy will find their fulfillment at and beyond the Second Coming.
