It is made up of every man that becomes 18 by law is forced to serve a year or 2. If you are 17 and u drop out of school you go to the army. Most dislike being in green and they constantly dream of their weekend pass.How do you think that the army can be used against the people when they are in fact THEpeople. There is a special squad for mutinies independent of the army ;)

Cuba's army is a time machine of the cold war. But they still take care of the Soviet's war machines that made them so well known and deadly up to date. As a child in Cuba I grew fascinated by this, and how the soldiers are blindly dedicated to the country. The whole country is war ready, every town has 4 fallout shelters and a small military base.

Mmmm... The US has nothing to do with Cuba any more, the embargo was made after Fidel took power and is kept in place as most of Cubans in Miami want to hurt the government of Cuba in some way, but in the processes we hurt our own people. But we are not the ones to blame neither is the US but the leaders of the Cuban government, as a single political party they tend to be oppressive and hopelessly stuck on the pass. Cuba needs new leaders and a different government the revolutions needs it.

Sadly today the armament Cubans think is modern belongs in a museum and will be only good as coffins should they confront the Armed Forces of the United Nations. Although they may look good, today's technology allows us to see and make of the Cuban army nothing more than bones and ashes.

Once American Abrams tanks went up against it, it turned out that one or two Abrams could take on a battalion or more of the Russian junk. Our guys called the Russian tanks "Jack in the Box" tanks because the Abrams would hit them and the turret would fly off, killing the entire tank and crew. The Abrams is the best tank in the world and always will be. Heck, one Abrams could probably take on the entire Cuban Army, which is a rabble anyway.
The answer is that Abrams are virtuallly invulnerable to RPGs and grenades.

How could you even consider the idea of Cuba wining in case of a war against USA. By the way Bay of Pig is nothing but history. Today, Cuba couldn’t resist a weekend on a war. First if you think about it, they don’t have food to feed their troops, or the money to sustain a war.
