i have one and i never gave it a cold crank rev like you did.. thx for letting me know that its possible but um not gon push it lol.. but yes.. most people sleep on the performance of this version.. this is the only car i wont trade in.. i also smokes a audi with mine lol
Glad to hear there’s another owner! The car was already up to temperature when I revved it, as I drove it for at least 15 minutes before making starting the video 😆 It is very understated and flies off the radar for sure, the noise factor always surprises everyone 😆
@@NathanMannin that’s 310 crank horsepower at the engine but at the wheels is different with horsepower loss like at least 285 - 295 wheel horsepower at the wheels on a dyno
You do know it's a luxury car your driving and not a race car? Your driving it like you stole it. This is a cruiser not a bruiser. Also if it automatic what are you changing.
Yes I am aware it’s a luxury cruiser, that’s why I bought it. However, just because it is a luxury vehicle, doesn’t mean it has to be driven in the same manner all the time? Some people like myself, want to see what a 4.4 V8 Volvo is like to drive under heavy load. Like most Automatics, they have a manual feature, so I’m changing gears manually for more driver involvement.
Its not just a luxury car its a luxury sports sedan. Its a beast just like some others in its class like Lexus gs430/gs460, Infiniti M45 etc. And theyre meant to be driving like a sports car and/or a luxury cruiser.
What a beautiful automobile, nothing like a V-8, that sound, Volvo for life.
Ha ha love the excited wave when seeing a fellow Volvo driver.
This is the best car ever
She's like mercedes in luxury and bmw in power and she's the best car in safety 🖤😍
Agreed!
Minus the handling.. volvo's handling sucks
Sounds just like my 2008 XC90 V8 Sport. Such smooth, steady power.
Same engine that’s why! It’s amazing they put it in the XC90 too!
Hope you were revving it warm lol
Youve earned yourself a subscription purely because of this beast 😍
Thank you very much for the sub! Don’t worry, the car was completely warmed up, I’d never rev it cold! 🥶😆
looks like you enjoyed the drive! Merry Christmas!
I most certainly did! : )
Merry Christmas to you too!
Merry Christmas and happy new year
@@zoltanbettes7204 Seasons Greetings Zoltan! : )
Nice video! Love these cars, they are actually quite rare you don't see many of them! Also you should have way more subs mate 👍 just subbed 👍
Thank you so much! The recipe of a Volvo with a V8 is so wrong but feels so right, was such a fantastic car and I really miss it!

Time to get it on the dyno and see if it’s still got all 310 ponies!
I would love to do that, I don’t think it’s got them 310 ponies though!

how fast 0/100 and the price of that lovely beast😍😍
Not too fast, something like 6 seconds! 😁
That's a beast 😍. £630 a year tax though 😢
Over £700 now!
What its fuel ⛽ average?
I did some fuel economy video on this topic, I think I averaged 23mpg in my ownership?
@@NathanMannin thanks 🙏
Do Straight pipe mods are muffler delete
That’s too much, maybe a resonator delete at the most! 😉
@@TrickyDicky2006 If you can find a friendly MOT tester, then that’s the only exception;)
Has this got a stock exhaust?
Yes!
Same wheel as my Nissan

@@NathanMannin Awe OK. Did you get the steering feel any better?
@@sharonec5419 I have tried out the heavier steering, but it just feels a bit too heavy, kind of like pulling on elastic band!
Lmao u can drive any car fast & still keep it reliable what the hell u talking about
