- Some pretty awesome obscure Nu Metal!
RIP Ryan Moonlight (Vocals).
Nervepitch were a nu metal band from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The band went in to record their debut demo CD on January 20th, 2001 and recorded the demo in 3 days. That would later become the EP "...how we change". This garnered the band some attention and some spots at local festivals. By March of 2001, the song "Rest" was nominated on Farmclub.com for consideration but they didn't get picked. Come January of 2002 and they have a tracklisting and are planning on recording a follow up album and despite some setbacks like website breaches, some shows being cancelled, and how long it was taking to master the album, a year later on January 25th 2003, their debut full length "...my sombre existence..." was released. Unfortunately, vocalist Ryan Moonlight in 2015 took his own life. After Nervepitch, he became a firefighter and served until his passing. For years, the entirety of the album ...my sombre existence... was not uncovered, with only 5 out of the 11 tracks being available to listen to in less than favorable quality. On April 28th, 2023, user Infrarain had a long and fruitful conversation with Julius (the guitarist), Julius released FLAC quality rips of both ...how we change and ...my sombre existence... as public Google Drive links on his Instagram, ending the search for the albums.

This album is a pure work of art in the Nu Metal/Alternative Metal community
True dat.
This slaps! I like the album cover too, very purple 💜
I'd heard of NervePitch but never listened to them before. This album is a masterpiece!
Same to both
Finally I waited 6 years for this since 2017 I’ve been a fan finally for the fans and for the world to see and hear underground Nu metal will see the light
Yes Yes Yes!! I feel like I lived under a rock that I have not heard of those guys before. I am ashamed 🤣 Album is incredible! A true nu metal project!
Hey I remember seeing this band's album "How To Change" and wondering "I wonder if Melomano will ever upload their stuff"
OMG YEAH!!!! THIS ALBUM IS REAL!!
I fell in love with this band like a year or two ago. I had no idea there were more songs out this! Thank you many years of uploading rock and numetal and here's to hoping many years to come.
YES! I just got into these guys a couple months ago; and then i found out about the missing tracks. I was actually getting ready to suggest the story to Whang for one of his lost media episodes. So happy it's finally available. Now all we need is a rerelease of the CD. Lot's of fans would love that.
My friend actually emailed Whang awhile ago when the album was still lost about it. He never responded, but I wonder if he'll see now that it's found.....
@@infrarain I imagine he gets a lot of requests and suggestions these days. It's awesome to know I wasn't the only one thinking about it from that perspective. I'm really happy these guys are getting some love from the fans. Even newer fans like myself. There's definitely something special about them.
I did send him an email about it a while back, and a follow-up email when the album was found
@Brandon Wenzel We appreciate all the love and kind words. I still get chills remembering some of the crazy shows we played at. We had a different sound than alot of bands at that time, the shows were LOUD and my bass was very bassy 😂 Julius and I both had huge stacks and weren't afraid to turn it up if the P.A was too small.
We would get quite a few people come up to us after a show and say they had never heard anything like it. Just a different vibe.👍
@@John-fz8uo I'm just glad your music got preserved and that I found it. Even being a kid who was a bit more "off the beaten path" when it came to music, back in those days it was so much harder to get exposed to stuff that wasn't mainstream. Unless you had a friend who knew some stuff, or maybe a few alternative websites. I've never stopped loving the Nu Metal era; and it's been incredible to discover so many fantastic bands like Nervepitch, that I never would've heard otherwise. The Nu Metal community is strong and passionate; and it's amazing seeing it's resurgence. What you guys did, was genuinely something really special. And I only wish it didn't take me so long to find your stuff. I'd have loved to have been at a show and rocking out. Even if it took me personally awhile to catch on, I really hope that yourself and all the remaining guys are really proud of what you accomplished; because you absolutely deserve to be. And from one lifelong Metalhead, thank you so much 🤘🙏🤘
Mostly I put the albums from your channel on to calm me down, strangely it always works in some way, despite the genre of music... but man, Sombre... ❤ and all these little moments of peace, these interludes that weave album together... I love that.... the atmosphere again... sad to read about Ryan, rest in peace :(
i found them bc of a lostmedia video
Same!! 🤘
Hey man, you were very spot on on putting the genres into the description. How am I supposed to weed out all my nu-metal bangers now? Come on!
Sounds awesome ❤️
Wow! I just saw you uploaded this! I thought for sure there was no way we'd ever get the full release! Badass!
(Especially "Sombre" and "Seven." I actually have the other tracks sans the intro, interlude, and outro, but this is a better quality upload and great to hear the album in its entirety. Thanks again!)
YO FINALLY THE FULL THING???????!!??!?!
Yes!
@@MelomanoAdicto damn never thought id see the day this thing was fully found, VERY happy :D
@@MelomanoAdictoThe Name of the Band Members Please 🙏
Hell yeah been waiting for someone to upload this forever
No more do we have to listen to 'Stitches' in 128kbps!
I have noticed that certain Nu-metal channels uploaded this album today. What's the occasion?
It was "unreleased" in a way so the guitar or bass player finally found a CD and uploaded the files
@@bryanlenihan5012 oooh ok! Thanks for the info!
@@bryanlenihan5012 the Guitarist uploaded the files from his copy
It's been in the works since the summer. I tracked down the producer we recorded with and him and I were working on getting things together - in the meantime Julius found the files at home and there ya go! We are so happy it is out there now!!! 🤘😎
John - NP
@@John-fz8uo you guys are amazing hope you'd put out some material again even without ryan. may he rest in peace.
POSSESSED!
Fucking awesome
BADA BOOM!! \m/
Is this on apple or cd anywhere?
It will at some point, I think.
This was on CD yes but the CDs are so rare that the guitarist is literally the only person on Earth confirmed to have it
tracklist?
Tracklist up!
Drop A#?
Yes
Yes!
Bb or A# 👍
Ryan Moonlight (QEPD) - voz
Julius Sneider - guitarra, teclados
John T - bajo
@@marcoantoniomolina También tenemos el EP 'How We Change' lanzado el 2001, excelente material!
Seven & Stitches man
This first song riff sounds like meshuggah
Its corridor of chameleons around the 2:25 mark
It's funny since Julius is a big fan of meshuggah
Me recuerda a los inicios de Slipknot...
Que viejo estoy xD
