What a great representation of how God provides for us and how we miss use the things he gives us. God owns everything, yet we have a hard time giving him his share of the pie. We need to always place him first and acknowledge him first above all the other things. For where your treasure is, there is where your heart will be also.

we give things to god not becuase he wants it cuz god doesnt want anything but our hearts but we give him offerings to show our love...... money offering is to show that u love god more then money ... and in the OT they offered sheep lambs etc... cuz those were very valuable and they offered it to show that god means more to them in their life then anything cuz without god we wouldnt be here today or have the thigns we do so im happy im saved i was reborn 9/9/07 and i live for no one but christ
it's not about the pie....it's about your heart. He just wants you to seek Him first and the rest He will take care of. you haven't experienced real living until you seek the kingdom of God first...thats all He wants!
Just as adorodrums said below, God does not require your pie, even if He gave it to you. He GIVES us our pie. We can WORSHIP with tithes and offerings but we have that choice. The idea that God looks at us with expectation and is disappointed in us if we do not "fork it over" is OBSCENELY IRRESPONSIBLE. God's love and adoration of us as His children is unwavering. He looks at us and sees ONLY Christ...which is fortunate for the author of this misrepresentation of His nature.
Yeah I agree with them. This video is about believing in god, receiving blessings and then suddenly stop believing in him.But you still keep your blessings for a day or two.
I'm very sad and appalled at the way people are responding to this video. Very crude, angry people out there. God doesn't need your money. Orphans and widows (think single moms) and elderly and the poor do! That's what God wants you to do with your money. A giant building with millions of dollars worth of stained glass and plush pews isn't exactly something we need to invest in. Feeding, clothing, and providing comfort, love, and hope in Christ is. That is God's piece of the pie.
Katy Holbein Katy? Remember that the road to hell is wide and accommodates all, where the narrow gate only is found after diligent searching and many will miss it. The one thing that this does, is shows those who don;t believe, who is in charge and when standing at Judgement, cannot say "I didn't know"
Katy Holbein Altruism and charity for others is NOT the message of this video. The message here is to believe in and worship the Christian god (not yourself) since most modern day Christians hold that as a prerequisite for "salvation". But just in case unbelievers need some incentive they throw in a little threat... eternal torment! That point isn't exactly mentioned in this video but it is in other vids in the 'Central Film' series. Also, hell threats are launched at unbelievers on a regular basis. But that's okay, we take it no more seriously than the mad ramblings of a mental patient.
Church is the place where people come together to worship God in community. Community is central to God's plan. It always has been and always will be. Most people condemn the notion of giving to your church because of the abuses of a few, and excuse the notion that the tithe belongs in the house of God. (Malachi 3:10). If we should choose to pay our tithe elsewhere, hoping to honor God, we will have dishonored Him, for He has made clear where it belongs. It is still robbing God, it is just that now we feel like little robin hoods, because we are stealing from the big bad church (which ain't your church, if you think about it) and placing it where we know God would rather it be. Yet those places are not where God would rather it be. And neither are our hearts!
I don't think that was the message it could have been time because in our modern we rarely do as Christian's give god time because were invested in so many other things
