Ghatkopar-Mumbai: Case Against Owner Of Hoarding That Collapsed In Mumbai Due To Storm, Killed 12

Heavy rains and thunderstorms battered Mumbai on Monday evening, with a massive hoarding collapsing on a petrol pump in the Ghatkopar area. Mumbai, Thane and adjoining areas on Monday witnessed a massive spell of rain accompanied by massive dust storms, lightning and gusty winds. This also led to disruption of metro and local train services and the airport
The adverse weather followed a forecast by the India Meteorological Department which predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and moderate to intense rainfall in Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar.
Meanwhile, the Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) has issued a yellow alert for Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Solapur, Latur, Beed, Nagpur, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra.
Additionally, an orange alert has also been issued for Pune, Satara, Sangli, Nashik, Kolhapur, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Jalna and Parbhani districts.
