I love your Futurasound inspiration in this video! The MGS community needs more long, in depth content like the ones you two produced! Please keep up the hard work. Subbed!
John Cygan was a legend. First as Solidus Snake, then as Canderous Ordo in KotOR 1 & 2. If MGS2 is ever remade like 3 is, they need to keep his voice in. He IS Solidus
Solidus's actions were pretty noble but let's not forget that he also ruined jack's and so many children's lives in the process. He's a great example of a villain who had good intentions but went about it in a way that harmed innocents in the process. Another form of anarachy born as a reaction of rebellion against the ones who wanted to control him. I could go on and on,but you can tell how well-written a story is,to manage so many thought provoking discussions like this among people.
Im not trying to Defend what he did but he was Just a child Who didn't understand what war was. On the other hand he did make 10 yo jack kill POW's as birthday candles so i don't know
You live long enough to become villain ahh opposite lol but nah it’s funny how most people have good intentions but retrospectively it’s always all twisted
I love how Raiden slowly realizes that Solidus is right so there's hints of hatred for the past and horror due to realizing that The Patriots are worse than Solidus and Dead Cell.
As always you nailed it with the analysis. I actually didn't know that solidus was a CIA during the liberian civil war. Solidus didn't deserve all the bad that he went throught in my opinion, if he didn't get raised by the patriots he probably would have ended like solid. In the end he just wanted to be remembered, its something that we all want. His main problems weren't his ideals but the execution and we probably all agree with it
Honestly I wouldn't have minded a Liquid Snake game/origin story either, like maybe letting you get to see some of the missions He did prior to the Shadow Moses Incident in MGS1
Raiden went through hell as a kid, his childhood was taken, then a few years after the big shell incident, something else was taken from him, his humanity, he was cyberneticly enhanced, either willingly or against his will
I'm still watching the video but so far it's really good. The game really didn't delve much into Solidus's presidential history so it's good to hear someone speaking about it. Liked and subscribed
Solidus was the only one actively fighting against The Patriots. He wasn't a good person, but he at least tried to stop them unlike Big Boss. Even Ocelot figured out that Solidus was right. Took him awhile, but he got there and in the end he destroyed the Patriots.
I always look forward to your videos. Have you ever thought about releasing them in audio format? They'd be amazing to listen to at work or driving or playing less entertaining games than Metal Gear
Solidus was a terrible person, but he was trying to do a good thing for the entirety of the world. And as we see in MGS4, he was right about what would come if the patriots weren't stopped
Solidus was raised to the presidency, externally the most powerful man in the world, without any of the autonomy. No wonder he wanted to bring it all down, it was the only way he could shoulder the burden of truly leading the people the way he thought he was meant to. Even in trying to break the system he wanted to free the American people. It’s difficult to evaluate the actions of a man trying to act and think on the scale of a nation.
Solidus had a plan to lead people but after a falling out with the Patriots for exposing the Genome Army and Metal Gear Rex, he wasn't going down quietly.

FINALLY A NEW VIDEO MATE, AND ITS ABOUT SOLIDUS, ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS in the franchise, now i know how to spend the next hour (Rip john cygan)
I like Solidus so much that he was the first choice to put as my new profile picture. (it's a shame that he only really appears in MGS2, though)
I’m hoping he would be the main in 6 and we find out everything after V was a simulation and MG-MGS/2/4 never happened lol
I love how Raiden slowly realizes that Solidus is right so there's hints of hatred for the past and horror due to realizing that The Patriots are worse than Solidus and Dead Cell.

The digital comic of MGS 2 goes pretty deep into Solidus and Raidens relationship
“Im the boss to surpass big boss”
I will become the biggest boss, bossbossboss!!
The Bosser
Biggest boss
“The Head Honcho.”. -Solidus
*gets folded by a nobody
Solidus Was A True PATRIOT
and not a lalilulelo
I remember hoping for a Solidus snake game at one point. He is such a weird and interesting character.
Honestly I wouldn't have minded a Liquid Snake game/origin story either, like maybe letting you get to see some of the missions He did prior to the Shadow Moses Incident in MGS1

it was against his will. he was captured when getting sunny out of the patriot's grasp.
@Majinhero now you mention it, he was captured after he rescued Sunny

You really think Big Boss didn’t try to stop the Patriots?

Beautiful work brother, you’re pretty good.
Pretty...good?...
Great video!! 57:13 what's the song ! Really cool
One thing I dont understand, why solidus Snake/George Sears is never mentioned in MGS PW, GZ or TPP.
Never realized in raidens final lines, he says "sorrow and joy" funny that in the next game we fight thoes.
Solidus had a plan to lead people but after a falling out with the Patriots for exposing the Genome Army and Metal Gear Rex, he wasn't going down quietly.
Sooo what you're saying is George Sears did nothing wrong
Why does solidus say “200 years ago today” when it was actually 220 years?
What if Solidus wanted to fight the patriots but he sort of just wanted to become the patriot, the sole “son of liberty”.
Ohh dream baby dream forever
the S is silent bro.
Named my first Black Cat "Solidus". Always loved his character, a true classic character to be sure.
Can you do a dream baby dream by suicide of raidens life
Its wild that assassin's creed is connected to mgs 😂😂😂😂😂
THAT'S NOT SOLID SNAKE
Sup
gg
Trump is Solidus
Wrong
Hopefully but he probably Ocelot lol
