The phenomenal Jean Shepard, one of the major pioneers of the Country Music Industry, what would Country Music be without her? She pioneered the road for every Female County Music Artist after her. I find myself listening to her more now in 2024, than what Country Music Radio has to offer. Ms. Jean Shepard and Ms.Patsy Cline are among my favorites that I listen to everyday in 2024 and on.
One of the five wonderful l albums bought in the early seventies.Glad to find it amongst all the other titles I've found online on a recently purchased tablet
A Dear John Letter was one of my first 78s and it was love at first hearing! Collected all by this highly underrated true country artist! Got to know her and husband! Jean was always busy on Opry, rodeos or benefits! Never came off silly ! Performance!!!!!!
Got this over 40 yrs ago and it's like yesterday!!! 6 or 7 albums with united artists and Larry Butler's oompah sound ! Jean quit on account of not wanting to be put in Billie Jo Spears category then went to do outrageous Saturday Night Sin on Scorpion label (her own?) First Generation put out Too Many Rivers Lp in 81 and we had to wait till 2000 to get Tennessee Waltz CD! After 23 years of recording Jean was still in her early 40s here ! On the beautiful side in person but not photogenic! Thanks again!
I've been wanting to get her later stuff together, digitally, for years, such a shame it took her death to get it....just loving ALL these tracks, thanks for posting!
It's the US-Version. I'm trying to get all the sealed original first releases. I used some software to remove the pops and clicks. Just have an average record player. I hope to find some time to upload more in the near future. Still have 3 or 4 LPs waiting for you guys =)
