I use a Day Timer binder, and planner pages, but use FranklinCovey starter--the backtabs with Franklin are better. Once I realized that we can mix and match planners, you feel more empowered.
Really enjoy your in-depth video of your planner. Also couldn’t remember if Franklin Covey fit in Filofax binders. Thank you for a great video & helpful ideas.
Thank you, Tonya, for another informative video! I appreciate the way you explain things so clearly. While I have used Franklin Planners for Work and PlannerPad for home/personal use for years, you gave me a few things to think about trying in my planners!
Hi Tonya, I like Planner Pad for home use as I can do a "brain dump" into various categories (which change over time) and look at my To Do's in the context of a week. I also use it as a sort of journal of fun things that happen, like special phone calls or dinners with friends etc. It is fun to flip through to see those special times. Keeping my work life and personal/home life in separate systems is working for me now, so I can focus on work when working and then home when "off the clock".
@@stefaniemcfadden5146 Sounds good. Funny you should mention digital planning. I'm in the process of doing a video on digital planning. Have a great day.
My new Malden in Kingfisher blue came yesterday but I love the brown color you have. Thinking about returning the blue and getting the brown...it's so classy!
I love your videos! So motivating! I’ve already invested $ in another on the go system for the first quarter of the year so I’ll plan and save up for this Malden/FC set up because it looks so functional. Thanks again!
Tonya Plans I have an Erin Condren spiral ( stays home as main planner), and trying the Erin Condren petite quarterly planner for my everyday carry. I’ll see if I can stick with it thru March to keep from wasting 💰
One of the better planner videos I have watched. Think about keeping your passwords in a planner you use as a wallet. May be better to keep that info at home. Just in case you lose your wallet.
@@TonyaPlans This is what I do for passwords in my wallet planner. I carry some passwords. I put them on a random page with grocery shopping list (not a real list). My husband laughs says a 7th grader will figure it out. At home I use Internet address & password logbook (found on ancestry). Am retired so do not need any work info.
Hi Tonya! Loved your video. In an earlier video you showed off a classic size planner, have you downsized to the compact size, or are you currently using both?
Excellent video, I wish I would have seen this before I fell down the rabbit hole of purchasing things I would not use for my planner. I purchased all the "pretty stickers" and I found out I am a functional planner and I can't use stickers because it is a distraction.
I apologize if you mentioned this elsewhere and I either missed it or forgot, but why did you move out of the Malden? Was it just because you decided to go back to the classic size? I’m considering Franklin Planner DO2P in either a Daytimer Malibu or a Malden for 2021.
Robbie AKA Many Plans Hi Robbie. I originally moved out of the Malden because it was too narrow for Franklin Planner compact inserts. My planner tabs got bent because they rubbed against my ink pen. After that, I only used Franklin Planner binders because they were wider. Then later I decided to move up in size to the classic size. I’m still in the classic size planner today. I did a video on why I switched planner sizes. 🙂
Hi Teeyah! Being in a smaller planner was an adjustment. I love the portability but there is less writing space and my sentences wrap to the next line more often than when I was in the classic size. However there is plenty of writing space for me. Also my eyes had to get used to the smaller inserts. What size planner do you use?
@@TonyaPlans I have a A5 Malibu and. Considered downsizing because I use it as a wallet too. I ordered a cheap personal one and didn't like it. I thought maybe a more expensive one would be better but so not sure!😲😲
Hi. The size of the Frankin Planner compact inserts are 4.25 inches by 6.75 inches. I got them here: bit.ly/2Q3KTng Yes, they are wider than personal size inserts.

Hi Malinoismama! You are correct. I downsized from a classic size planner to a compact size planner.
Thank you Tonya! I pulled my compact out to give it a try and see if I can downsize too. Make it more portable for myself.
