Hi Tonya, Great video and I remember when I took the audiotape version of Hyrum's Time Management seminar of how informative it was especially the part about what you do and don't control and I've told people that over the years we can only do the best with what we have control over and hope for the best with those that we don't have any control over, after realizing that, I and others stopped panicking over what we had no control over and just deal with it the best we could and hope for the best and I've had much less ulcers for realizing that. If I remember correctly the Time Matrix was Stephen Covey's method which was similar to Hyrum Smith's ABC method. Hyrum had a "D" but he considered that totally wasted time and didn't include it instead he focused on what matters because the totally wasted should account for a very small portion of your time that's hardly measurable. His example of "D" was late payments, not paying off credit cards, getting involved with things that aren't part of your goals, etc. Basically if you're on top of your goals in your daily planning you shouldn't have any "D" priorities. After realizing that and started tracking the "D' priorities I did everything I could to make them quickly go away because I didn't like seeing them on my dashboard and the quicker they were finally gone the better. I remember back in 1994 or 1995 when the Monticello design was introduced I almost switched over but decided to stay with the simple and clean design of the Original but if I were to change it would be the Monticello design because the others are just too busy in my opinion.
@@TonyaPlans You're more than welcome, it's been my pleasure. I didn't know you had so many videos but I'm almost finished. Hopefully it doesn't look like I'm jibber-jabbering or trying to take over the comments, I just thought I would give my opinion since you asked for it. If you have any questions about any of them please hit me back.
Fantastic video! I watch ALOT of these kind of videos and yours are the best! I appreciate how professional, detailed and very informative they are. You make a great teacher! Thank you for taking the time. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Hi Tonya...I am very grateful that you do videos on the Franklin planner. I have tried different types of planners now and then, but come back to this one every time. It's like an old friend and the paper quality is exceptional! Maybe you could do some pen testing for one of your videos and recommend your favorites! Blessings to you! Angela
okay okay, I FINALLY get the time matrix! I think this finally makes sense, Tonya! Tomorrow I will prioritize my list and see what happens. Thank you thank you! Love, Jeanie xxoo
4 years late but i really love rhis series. Its so helpful. There was a tip about puttingbook pages in your planner to get your reading up. I printed out a slide deck from work today and threw it in my planner! Im hype. Not only did it fit perfectly, but mow ive got a hard copy i can tak3 with me
Thank you for your in depth review. I purchased this planner today partly because of your review and I'm wishing I had learned this information years ago.
Hi Tonya! This is the Franklin Covey inserts that I have used for several years. I love the pure generic look. This year I got the Blossoms but next year it'll be back to this! Thank you! Off to watch your video now! God bless you and stay safe! Love, Jeanie (PS You've given me such great ideas!! )
Hi Jeanie! I have tried Blooms before too but recently went back to the orginal. Both are great planners but I prefer teh more simple design. Have a great day!
Pentel RSVP ballpoint pens, the older, regular BIC pens, BIC Atlantis Ultra Comfort, and Frixion eraseable pens, also work but you might see slight ghosting on the back of the page. I recently purchased the Sharpie fine point, felt tip pens and while they don't actually bleed through, there is ghosting, especially the darker colors. I still enjoy FC'S paper...it just feels professional to me.
Hey. I tried the Sharpie fine point. I like how dark it wrote but because it was a felt tip it did not glide across the paper easily and my hands get fatigued quicky, so I switched to a Cross Edge Rollerball. Thanks for watching.
Tonya I used your code on their website for discount Thanks so much. I really wish i watched this video first because i didnt buy a starter pack . I am not sure if all this material would come with the inserts i ordered.
Hi happy! If you can't access the course, you may want to try contacting Franklin Planner on their website. The links are on their website. You can live chat or send them an email.
Great video. I love the fact that you indicate the advantage of defining ABC priorities to prevent parsing the page again and again. :) Do you know where I can find the tutorial pages that you show in your video? When I go to the Franklin covey website, I only see daily planner sheets packs but without indications that they contains the tutorial pages. Thanks again.

Pen testing is a great video idea! I don't use many pens though. What kind of pens do you use?
What fantastic content. I have been using a Franklin Planner for 20 years. It’s the best. I’ve strayed but I always come back.

Hi, I love your videos. Are you, or can you if you aren't, do a video sharing your thoughts on journaling in conjunction with using the planner?
Hi David. That's an excellent idea! I will do that! I do journal in my planner.
Thank you.
This is good info and it encouraged me to buy some additional FC forms. And the discount is a very nice bonus!
Hi David! 😘 Thank you for watching.

Hi. Thank you for watching!
I use the Pigma Micron 005 mostly because it doesn't bleed or shadow through the Blooms paper. It is .20mm, waterproof and fade proof, archival ink. ☺
Oh okay! I need to try the Pigma out.
Thanks!
