Craig got it at the end, it's the feeling you get while there. I don't actually have a favorite attraction, it's more about how I feel while I'm there and the memories that I make that keep me coming back. The moment I love the most are the first few steps onto Main Street, where you turn and see the castle for the first time, the music going, all the stress and worries slip away at that moment.
I think for someone who’s never visited the Disney parks, this is something they don’t understand (obviously!), they simply roll their eyes and think it’s childish. It’s so much more than what some people think it is (Disney characters, rides, general theme parkness) and I personally love that it’s a place you can go and truly be yourself.
@@WorkerBeeSupply 100% Our first trip as a family was 2018 and it was my husband's 1st time ever, so he had no clue what to expect and that it wasn't simply a Disney themed 6 flags. We've been 3 times now with our 4th in Dec and with each trip he gets into it even more and is starting to have the same feelings I do towards it. His family on the other hand are very judgey about how often we go (even though they go to the same beach almost every year). Why people care so much about how others use their vacation time I will never understand.

And now that I just finished the episode, I’ll edit in that I am now glad we are choosing to move a little further away (later this year)instead of the Orlando area. I want my Disney trips to always feel special. If I move to Orlando I worry I will get tired of it. Watching this conversation just confirmed that we are making the right choice.
I totally agree with your description of Main Street Jackie!!! I could sit there all day looking at the decorations, buildings and attention to detail that Disney puts in. I leave everything at the gate as soon as I walk in there. Pretty magical indeed.

I love seeing the parks through my kids eyes. My first is turning 4 this fall, the second was just born this summer. We’ll never have this magic, tough, wonderful time back. The parks glow to a little kid and it is the most incredible thing to be a part of. I don’t need Disney for me right now, it’s all about my kids ❤️.
You will love a solo trip - I have gone solo for MANY years (mainly because my family/kids HATE Disney) however, it is a great way to decompress - no hearing --> what do you want to do - I don't know what do you want to do - what do you want to eat - I don't know - what do you want to eat!! You can do what YOU want to do WHEN you want to do it and eat what you want when you want. I've visited and never ridden a thing - the joy of just being there is enough because I can escape the everyday trials of being an adult ;-)
I agree Jackie, I just love to walk in and spend my entire day on Main Street. It's just magical walking slowly around Main Street and seeing the Castle. That's all I need.
I love the way that Main Street USA immediately transports you - it truly feels like you're stepping into another time and place, which is why it sets the tone so perfectly to explore the Magic Kingdom.
Honestly? The cast members. I remember the guy running Big Thunder one morning where me and a friend were the only ones in our car who asked us 'Do you want to go again?' and grinning when two middle aged women yelled 'Yes!'. The lady who had directed us to where Goofy would be at 3pm swinging by the spot at 3:05 on the way to her break to make sure he greeted us and her grinning watching my nephew go nuts. Plus tons of other fantastic cast members.
Thank you for making tangents hot. Tangents are the reason we can avoid streaming in confined circles... going off grid is when I feel the most alive. Love this show so much!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Cinderella story done in mosaic inside the Castle. OMG I get all the feels remembering holding my dads hand as a small child the first time I saw it. It’s my absolute favorite thing to visit on the first day of every trip
Jackie's statement on overdosing on the speciality can be a problem, especially for those who go more often. When it is a week's vacation every couple of years, eating at a special restaurant each day still holds its value. We spend years reviewing our experiences at the various restaurants, and also the quick service locations that are unique to Disney. Dining is half of the vacation and memories if you put a little planning into it, and you will be glad you had those special moments.
Deni talking about seeing people's first experience at Disney gave me goosebumps. I still remember walking into Magic Kingdom on my anniversary back in 2002. My 10th trip is coming up in September and it can't get here soon enough!
The Disney Resorts are what are so Magical for me. I absolutely love staying at them, and visiting them, all of them. Their existence is why I keep flying across the Country to WDW, despite living just 90 miles from DLR.

I love Ryno’s comments about the *feeling* of DCA. A host on another theme park podcast called DCA the “chillest park” and I can’t help but agree! Pete has said in the past that he just loves walking around that park, so when I visited I really wanted to take in the detail and the feeling, and now it’s one of my favourite parks! Also love hanging out on Tom Sawyer Island and the view of Big Thunder from the rocking chairs. 💛
We love seeing you guys in the parks too! I was over the moon when I saw the Animal Kingdom walk the other day. I was in AK that day and had literally just arrived in Orlando, it was the first day of my Disney trip and I saw Craig filming! I nerded out big time and it was literally THE best way to start my trip! I’ve waited since then to see if an AK video would be up soon to confirm that I really did actually see him and not just kinda think it was him from afar and BAM. It came out and day made all over again!

My daughter and I also LOVE the new music at the entrance to Epcot. And the music from Epcot Forever (except the Whole New World part which is so out of place!). We saw Epcot Forever the first night, October 1, 2019, and had to go back the following night just to hear the music! It just sums up what Epcot is all about! The music from each park is what makes us feel so good inside!

Simply when I enter Epcot or Magic Kingdom when you finally get there the outside world disappears. Smart phones have put a major crimp in that. As a passholder especially at Epcot I go to just hang out. Still my favorite experience at Epcot was just sitting on a bench after Illuminations for almost 30 minutes as people scurried to get out. Then taking a slow stroll through World Showcase which was nearly empty and having the torches extinguish and the loop music go quiet was amazing. Seeing my car as the last one there in the enormous Epcot lot was the best. Sometimes you get gifts for being an AP holder which I give away to random visitors.
God bless Jackie. Goofy movie was like 25 years ago but to her it’s like yesterday. Pete needs to get her out into the parks both coasts and get updated on what Disneyland and WDW are like now. She’s a gem and we love her. And craig and Ryno are just so mind melded with each other, that’s what makes this show so good 4 different points of view.
Soarin always brings me to tears because I love the ride so much.The feeling of entering the magic kingdom, after not being there in over a year or more is the best.

I am planning my first solo trip and I was so apprehensive. Now I am just going to do what you all said and take it slow and take it all in.
