Hi Megan! Nice setup! Gave me some great ideas for my upcoming build in a Ford Expedition, so.. Thank you! Hope to see more of both your build and your adventures.
@Megan Clarke I haven't done anything but think/dream about it yet. I actually got sidetracked looking at motorhomes or van builds, saved a bunch of money to buy, and am now back to the original plan. Decided to give up space to keep the 4WD, as we had a record snow winter and the Expedition saved my butt for commuting.

I sure miss my Yukon! Retired for medical reasons only making 14,000 yr. I couldn't afford my car payment and put together 2800 dollars I bought it from a friend who was letting me use it to find a vehicle. The great feature of the older Yukon or Chevy Tahoe, are the rear seats come out. The newer model have folding seats that take up the cargo space she has. Plus it doesn’t fold to a flat floor but angles higher on one end! Great job for using as a cross country road trip. Tks

I was going to do the same thing with a Yukon or Tahoe, but since I have a 4X4 Silverado paid for, I decided a shell on the bed is much more affordable after checking prices of those lol Yukon is much nicer to drive and cozier. you should probably learn how everything in your vehicle works including the electrical system because if something breaks out in the middle of nowhere, you have a chance to figure out how to fix it. You're on your own out there and all you have is what's in your car.
Thank you for sharing this is exactly what i was looking for in a build, I'm currently in my extended cab truck and don't care for the camper shell. A question on your cabinet side, how deep are they? And did you remove the side panels on that side for more space?

Nice to see you posting again. You might take a look at Patrick Remington UA-cam channel for a DIY privacy shower or bathroom curtained “pop out “ that you could attach above a rear passenger door. Adding a roof curtain to it could make for a dry entrance for taking off shoes, changing, etc. Looks relatively easy to make.

That was awesome, thank you for the video! I've been playing around with figuring out my '99 Yukon. Did you pull any of the interior panels? If you did was it worth the space gained? I love that you got a whole cupboard piece on that one side and still have a "hallway!"
Yes!! So the driver's side panel is removed in my build and definitely worth it (varying levels of added space). I decided it would not be worth it on the passenger side because there is some stuff behind it!
@@MeganClaarke Thank you! I've peeked behind the driver's side one and was surprised to discover a jack! Also, at least part of that side appears to be far easier to remove than the rest from what I've seen.
Lol right - I was also pleasantly surprised by that! I was able to pull out all of the panels without breaking anything. A bit of a puzzle removing extra panels to get the desired panel free!

Relationships are a lot of work! He is way too busy for two gfs 😜
So you’re not a true solo van lifer because you have a boyfriend in the background. Most female van lifers have male orbiters so they truly aren’t solo. The game is up
I'm not sure I agree! Having a boyfriend means I do not go through other parts of my life alone, but I am very much alone while travelling 😄
Yes please do be careful out there get into a good self minded community of young travelers your age and stick together maybe that’s the mom in me but the the 30 yr old in me says wow she reminds me of myself a lot and I know for me unfortunately I had to experience a lot more then my fair share of unfair experiences from the world 🌎 it’s a beautiful place and life is so short get out there and experience it !!! be smart and listen to the advice I’m seeing here be aware of your surroundings and an educated mind is something nobody can take from you babe 🫶🏼 good luck can’t wait to follow your journey get out there and live your best life as I do wish I had done before having 3 kids lol 😂 I’ll wait till I’m retired now lol 😆 ✌🏼🫶🏼😘
Thank you Rachel 🥰 My mother would definitely appreciate this comment 😄 It doesn't hurt to be reminded to be safe!!
Love your personality! You did a great job! Skoolie life is a bit different than van life but the main thing is WE'RE OUTSIDE! 😂
Skoolies are soooo awesome!!
Hello friends! I have returned to a regular posting schedule and am now rolling out videos from the building process. ☺ You'll be able to see more detail from each part of camper and what my experience was like. I am especially excited to share the solar and electrical system video - it is very thorough! I really appreciate the support on this tour video and am nearly monetized on UA-cam from it - you being here means a lot. 💕
Thank you for this video!! I just purchased a 2014 suburban and plan on starting a UA-cam channel and getting the tiny home conversion on video like you 💯💪
Nice to see you posting again.
Good evening Megan ! You done a great job on your build ! It’s nice to know you have a boyfriend who not only helped you, but also supports your dreams & goals ! He’s a fortunate man ! Bless You Both & keep smiling !
Rickety builds are the best. The overly polished, expensive builds just look like you're trying too hard.
Love it, Megan. The car looks great.
I appreciate this perspective haha! I was just so excited to get on the road 😊
Too cool! Very complete living space and still lots of room 🤩
Yep! Feels like being right at home just with very low ceilings 😌
Great job. Blessed tohave a bf to help w/electrical. I like the setup. Im working on mine. Im sure you have window cover. Enjoy & safe travels see you on the next video 😇👍🙏p.s ignore the negative comments.
I definitely would've been using a portable power station setup if I hadn't found him 😄 Thank you for the kind message!
Megan a stainless steamer is great to cook extra food if you are using a pot, on just a 1 burner stove. We'll done to you 👏👏👏👍😉🇮🇪☘️Eire
That would be a great addition to my camper kitchen!!
Great job. I prefer to see these self built vans. We aren’t all carpenters.
Totally - there are some beeautiful builds out there, but it doesn't need to be perfect to get on the road!!
Looks great , comfortable & efficient. Have FUN !
The only thing not efficient is the fuel economy 😳
You did a GREAT JOB
Thank you!! 🥰
Good for you!! This is my dream and seeing this and that you don't have to have a camper or van or bus. You can literally do this out of an suv. I gotta work towards this and do some saving but I will get here! I can't wait to be on the road!! Safe travels sweetie! Keep bringing us videos! 😉
Yes, totally! Who stands that often while they're hanging out at home anyways 😜
Your so awesome keep us posted!
Hi this is Megan from the future 🤣
Wow. At first I thought it was an Yukon xl or suburban but no. You are in a standard Yukon or a Tahoe. Those are smaller than a xl or suburban. But I love the set up. I have a suburban I want to do this to. So, I may borrow some of your ideas. 🙂
That's right! I would've loved the extra space of a suburban, but made it work with the addition of a Thule roof box 😊
