Yesterday I was in a concert of Sr Elton John (April 10th 2017) in Santiago of Chili and John Mahon gave one of his baquetas "Vic Firth", I am so happy for that. I need the other one please!!. I love him!!.
Someone just sent this video to me... Wow... John Mahon rocks! John started the concert with the LP Jim Greiner Shekere. I'm blessed that so many percussionists globally at all levels play the Shekere that I designed with my friends at LP from a gourd I hand picket from the field. I met John at an LP Endorser event and I appreciate what a down-to-earth person he is! Groove on!
LOVE the way Elton sings the last verse in that deep, low key. The way he embraces the dramatic change in his range from his early years is so much better than if he were to try sing in those old high keys, and sound horrible.

He's a great percussionist playing in the greatest band!
There needs to be more of these!
Wow! So happy to see what my favourite percussionist sees :D

Incredible!
classic song and performnace
I started feeling stage fright just watching this haha
Great!
This is one of the few cases where you can't say "it needs more cowbell".
I bet he took if his IEM's it would be so loud.
Hi John
This song really doesn't need all that additional percussion. Guess EJ likes it that way though.
