Thanks man, much appreciated! Sooner or later I'll probably do another one from NOLA as I just absolutely love that whole record. Any suggestions though? :)
Losing all is a strong condender, I've been thinking about it tbh. I covered Stone the Crow long time ago, wow it's been 8 years already. I'm pretty proud of how that came out btw, here's the link for you viewing enjoyment ua-cam.com/video/sAglkaM9a0s/v-deo.html :)
@@Kostein Ooh, I didn’t remember you did Stone the Crow already. Totally forgot that but had to rewatch it, awesome job on that also. You have the right amount of sludge in the sound👌
Glad you liked Stone the Crow! I actually think that there's not enough sludge. I mean that was the best I could do at the time but still there's always room for improvement :)
I have to be really honest with you, in more than one part it sounds like you just found the original guitar stems and put bass and drums on them! I wouldn't expect a rectifier to be able to sound this nasty, great job man
Wow, thanks dude! It's an amazing feeling when I get comments like this. It makes all the hard work I put into these videos worth it. I gotta agree that the Recto sounds pretty nasty on this one, really happy how it came out 🤘
Thanks, much appreciated! I almost always try to emulate (but not copy) the vibe of the original when I'm doing a cover and it starts with the guitar tone. It has to be close otherwise it gives you a different vibe, which, is not a bad thing. It's just not what I usually go for.
Free at last, I'm the past, Undone in unknown prison, I'm holding on. Peace and need? A mouth to feed? I'm standing way on The other side. I'm staring Right back at myself, And through it's frozen image, I'm laughing right back At my health lifelong Arms in knots, never spot, My blood is fading On the world. Stealing keys? Soul to me? And to the brotherhood with what Writes the pain. I'm staring Right back at myself, And through it's frozen image, I'm laughing right back At my health lifelong I'm a lifer. I'm staring Right back at myself, And through it's frozen image, I'm laughing right back At my health I'm a lifer.
Very very good Job 🎸🆒🔥🔝
04:17 This heavy part goes on repeat every few months. Definition of heavy. :D
Hope you do a bunch more Down covers as this was awesome! Good job man, keep it up!

@@Kostein All of them are absolutely worth it! If you want suggestions then I’ll say Rehab, Losing All or Stone the Crow 😄👌

Sounds great, man! Very close to the Nola tone.
