I've been following you for a while and see that the dotfiles you make are really more optimal and stable than other dotfiles I've tried. I'm a high school student in Vietnam, even though it's not much, I want to support you. I'm very passionate and like to play around with these things on Linux, thank you.
I like the change of the waybar with separation thin lines and not only.. I find your way of customization v close to my eye "taste" -- keep going with the beautiful work! Thank you for sharing...
Awesome - it worked to install on my T2 Fedora! ;-) A lot to learn and to dig in - I am just wondering - how do you move windows? Ha! That's a lot to explore ...
hey yo.. forgot to reply... totally forgot about about starship... I may in the future... I might include on my next update... currently in the process on integrating pywal, rofi, and kitty instead of usual wofi and foot 🤭
swww for animation and swaybg since been its stable. hyprpaper still fairly new so thats why it has clipboard manager (using cliphist) super alt v is keybinds and I do have dunst I did cover mostly about my dotfiles ua-cam.com/video/fO-RBHvVEcc/v-deo.html
With your installation script I already installed it on my main PC and today on my work PC (both with Ubuntu). It would be missing on the notbook, which is a little old and was not installed properly. I'm going to try Debian 13. Thank you very much!!
at 13:47 you show the keybind SUPER ALT W. but that does nothing when I do it. I looked at your keybind config and I dont see any mention of it. Any ideas? Also great script and work! subbed.
sorry for the newbie question JaKooLit how exactly did you apply your dots to Gentoo? im installing Gentoo alongside Arch on my AMD laptop atm and it has as i said before an nvidia rtx 2060 as it's dgpu and im doing a clean install of gentoo with wayland by default NOT xorg to avoid the hell of switching over from xorg and yes im using systemd. Anywho i like your rice of hyprland and i was unsure how to apply your config given you already did so.
install hyprland, waybar, foot as minimum then you can copy / run the copy.sh command from Hyprland-Dots repo... and then add additional packages later as require like pamixer, brightnessctl etc etc.. if you browse my Arch-Hyprland install script, on the packages and font part, should give you and idea which packages I have added
im getting high cpu usage everytime i use firefox or any other browser it can go between 15-88 ; everything else is fine and working well. PS: i've nvidia geforce 820m gpu and i5 processor with 8gb ram
I know it's very beautiful, but to me it's not very good for my eyes. Do you have the light version? Or is there a version that limits blue light and brighter colors?
my dots have dark/light version... plus you can always download a theme of your choice and set using gsettings or nwg-look. It all boils down to user preferrence plus I have it set with wlsunset but I dont enable by default but option is there. you just need to tweak as required

Ever considered starship over oh my zsh?

Just curious, why SWWW or Swaybg and not hyprpaper?
Also inclusion of a clipboard manager and swaync would be awesome!

kindly re-review keybinds as some changes made
super H a quick keyhints
or full keybinds by pressing super E and choose keybinds
what would you recommend setting MAKEOPTS to? for example, i have 8 threads and 4 cores, so what should i set it to?
depends on you... you can allocate all threads... of you are using your system, you can set to half only then later increase to 8
