- beadaholique.com - Learn the Brick Stitch, a very fun and versatile stitch for bead weaving. This stitch starts out with a Ladder Stitch (See our Ladder Stitch tutorial here: • How to Do Ladder Stitc... ). The beads are then stacked on top of each other to resemble a brick wall.

Thank you 💖
Excellent video! I can now finish off my loom bracelet. THANKS SO MUCH ...you are soooo talented!
@SmileBabiee Of course, I would recommend starting in the middle, at the widest point, and decrease on both sides from there. Thanks!
Great idea with the overview of bead weaving stitches! That will go on my video to do list :)
Thank you for this video. While it is a little more complicated than I expected, it does address the issue I was having and that was exposed threads. This technique may take some time to learn, but it is definately worth the time and effort.
So glad you guys have all these awesome tutorials! Usually I just look at illustrated ones when I'm learning a new stitch, but its nice to have these to reference as well... and let me just say that doing this with seed beads is a pain in the rear! lol
@lilifoxfox Hi, thanks for your question! I'm not too sure what what you are doing incorrectly without a visual, but if I had to guess, I would say that maybe you are passing your needle under the thread between the first two beads of the first row when working up the second row. Instead, pass your needle under the thread between the second and third bead. This will make the first two beads of your second row sit in a little, like bricks. Continue doing this with every row.
I love your stitch it is very pretty
Maravilhoso, belíssimo, magnífico, amei.
Omg I needed this video it helps so much thank you so much I'm new to beading so I'm so lost but this video just saved me thanks 👏
Glad you found us! Thanks for watching!
@Beadaholique I will work on creating a video for this!
Excelente, es la mejor explicación de esta tecnica peyote, se observan bien cada paso. Gracias
No, es mas facil, lo hizo mas dificil Ella.
çok güzel anlatılmış tebrik ederim
Yes, you can brick stitch with 2-hole beads. The first row is going to be a bit wobbly to begin with and then the spacing might be slightly off on the other rows. To brick stitch with 2-hole beads, just pretend that the second hole is a different bead and do everything else the same. I think it would be ideal to insert some 2 hole beads into a pattern with single-hole beads - especially starting the first row with single-hole beads would make life easier.
thank you
Thank you for an excellent video. I lo
Thank you very much!
Happy we could help!
you have made an easy stitch complicated why?
Hi! I am sorry for the confusion, the first row uses a different bead weaving stitch called Ladder Stitch. We have a video which explains this stitch in detail (How to Do Ladder Stitch Bead Weaving)
I typed this in (your videos) and lots of you ladder stitch films came up but not the one you refer to - that I could see :(
I love all the videos you produce and have learned bead weaving exclusively through your posts. They are professional, well shot and easy to follow. I look forward to all of them. Can I subscribe to your channel?
i have a question, would you be able to work backwards? like start off going narrow, and then gradually getting wider, then narrow again.
sort of like a diamond??
A link to the ladder stitch video would be extremely handy instead of making people search for and hope they picked the right one.
Right you are, it really would be. Here's a link, I'll add it to the description too: ua-cam.com/video/FWEtyLgh-JM/v-deo.html
Can we do this with two holes beads?
Thanks for the compliment! To subscribe simply click the "Subscribe" button located above all of our videos or on our channel page.
why didnt you show the first row I am so confussed.?
Hi Andrea could you please show us how to join two pieces of brick stitch together.
That is a great video idea! We will add it to our list - thanks!
Thank you for this tutorial! I was wondering, my basic pattern works great with this stitch but I need to "repeat" the last row, so that it doesn't have the brick offset but the beads are on top of each other. How do I deal with that? IIs 've tried a few ways but it always ended up weird. Is there a stitch that would help with this?
***** That's a really good question. Unfortunately i feel like I would need to have the piece in front of me to work out this problem. I would suggest just making it up and stitching in beads where you need them.

Thank you for your reply! I have figured it out by adapting the ladder stitch. I simply add 2 beads and then go through them like a ladder stitch, the only difference is that I go through the row before that. And this is the finished result, I'm very happy with it. Thank you again! :) pbs.twimg.com/media/B9MsNjECUAEGSYY.jpg:large
The ladder stitch row and all the other Odd number rows have seven beads while the even number rows have six beads. Is this correct?
Yes, that is correct.
Why you miss the 1st stage?
The say the first part is in another film but I couldn't find it. I don't know why they did this.
How do you add thread while working on brick stitch
+Jill Jones You would retrace your last 5 or 6 stitches with a new line of thread and then continue on as normal. Once you have at least 10 new stitches, you would go back and tie off and weave in your tails (there should be 2 tails to weave in - 1 from your new thread and 1 which is the remaining length of the old thread).
Does anyone know the Kudu spiral stitch?
We haven't learned that stitch yet, it sure is gorgeous though. If you're new to spiral weaving we do have a few videos on our favorite spiral stitch, the cellini spiral, which is a great introduction to that kind of bead weaving: ua-cam.com/video/IS1l41t_W8I/v-deo.html
@@beadaholique Thank you. I believe someone mentioned that it resembled the flat Cellini spiral weave. This will be something new to go onto my “Next Up” list of new stitches to learn. Again, many thanks to you and everyone else that has taken time to share your knowledge of beading with those of us who strive to learn! For you, there truly is a “silver lining”!
To learn how to do the first row, watch our video "How to Do Ladder Stitch Bead Weaving". There's a link for it in the video description underneath the video.
No its not
Unfortunately, your editing cuts out the progress and process of the stitching. YOU know what you are doing but as you have made these films for the novice beader, each move is essential so we know what we are doing is correct. :(

Too confusing
You made this too complicated.
thank you
