Agreed. They always make reports about the worst members of the fandom to fuel hatred for us even more because it makes them lots of money. It's a very large fandom, of course there's going to be a lot of bad actors (who, don't get me wrong, 100% deserve to be brought to justice) That's like taking all of the worst people throughout human existence and going, "see? Look at this very small, cherry picked, sample size of humanity! This proves that all people are terrible!" On the same hand, there's a lot of genuinely good people within the fandom and seeing them finally get the recognition they deserve is like a breath of fresh air.
I was lucky enough to be in the audience at closing ceremonies when the final push to go over 100k happened. The amount of people running like a madman to donate was insane! When we hit it it was truly an incredible moment to behold! It was one of the most heartwarming things ive experienced!
Could you imagine how little attention these smaller charities would be getting if the furries just stayed at home? Call them cringe all you like, but they’re the ones making the positive difference in the community so you gotta respect them for that.
Uhh… fursuits go anywhere between 500-3000. A lot of us aren’t rich we just save… plus a lot of us make our own suits, which cuts down the price of the suit dramatically.
the average person with a job can save up that amount of money in a few months. most of us are dirt poor and saving up for a luxury item we really really want, just like you might for a gaming pc or flat screen tv.
I mean, your indignation is fully justified, but I'd point out that anyone can donate to charity. Probably just about any one of the politicians, celebrities and organizations that you hate have probably donated as much to charity or more than you will in your lifetime.

So I am personally not a furry though I have been told I "give furry energy" and honestly, love these guys. The furries I have met have been the sweetest most amazing people I have met. I've noticed a lot of the time they just are maybe a little socially awkward (myself as well don't worry) and like to have a way to almost hide themselves in social settings. They have always been the coolest people to me though. I remember in high school there was an autistic girl who was a proud furry and she made me a fursona just because I was nice to her. Seriously they're amazing people.
I would have loved to go to AC this year though it was just not in the cards for me... I'm hoping maybe next year. Such a wonderful cause. I have older dogs, one being senior age as well. I hope everyone had fun at AC 🐈💜💫

It's very sweet to see videos like this. The two cons i went to showed me that the furry community is truly a wonderful community full of kind people who can help do a lot of good at conventions. It's very sweet to see videos like this. The two cons i went to showed me that the furry community is truly a wonderful community full of kind people who can help do a lot of good at conventions. Raising so much money like that to help other furry friends is very heartwarming. Im very happy to still be a part of the furry fandom community.

As a furry, yes I do understand why anti furries hate us as we are, they just think we are animals and full of NSFW stuff. I agree with this as I’ve met many furries that look at this stuff.
