Thanks for the video. Cozies are so overlooked. They are my go to genre! Would love to see some Cozies in those fancy hard cover spraied edge book boxes!!!
Love your channel!! Cozy Mystery favorites authors: Kate Carlisle ( Bibliophile series ) and Jenn McKinlay - she has a few series, the cupcake series one is real good, as is the hatshop one ( not as many books to date ). Bailey Cates has a good series too - magical bakery, very good. Josie Belle, a Good Buy series is good too. I know this is an older video - but enjoyed it! :)
You really should check out the author Rita Mae Brown. She has written many books but her cozy mysteries are really good. There are humans of course with pets...who talk to each other! An older series but one of my favorites!
I needed this video during COVID lol I watched so many book tubers and bought so many cozies during the stay at home time and never found any that interested me
One of my favorite cozy mystery writers is Katie Carlisle and the Bibliophile series. Brooklyn wainwright restores old books. She grew up near San Fransisco in a commune. Her love interest is a former British spy who now has a security business in San Fransisco. Rare books and wine are two of the main themes of this series.
Love cozies too! I wasn't a huge fan of Tita Rosie's Kitchen, but do love the Filipino culture! I need to try book two of Campers and Criminals as book one was fine. Have enjoyed Tea garden series, though show is a lot different lol. 😃
Yay! I love that you are spreading the news about cozies! I recently discovered cozy mysteries a few years ago and very much agree with you that they are so fun and a great palate cleanser between books! Thank you for these recs! I can’t wait to try Ellie Alexander! My favorite types are spooky cozies with a magical element or any type of tasty food theme. My top 3 favorite series are: 1. A Magical Bookshop Mystery by Amanda Flower (1st book - Crime and Poetry) 2. A Writer’s Apprentice Mystery by Julia Buckley (1st book - A Dark and Stormy Murder) 3. A Magical Bakery Mystery by Bailey Cates (1st book - Brownies and Broomsticks) I recently purchased a cozy that you may like just based on your channel name but haven’t read it yet. I got Pride, Prejudice, and Peril by Katie Oliver - A Jane Austen Tea Society Mystery series. I LOVE Austen’s P&P so I just had to get this one. Have you read it or heard about it? Let me know!
Yayyy! I love to see a new cozy friend!! I haven't read the Jane Ausen Tea Society Mysteries but I SHOULD! Also, I recently picked up all three of these your suggested for the magical cozies! I'm a big fan of those as well! 💗
I started reading cozy mysteries as a teenager and I love them! I read a variety of things now but still have a collection of cozies on my bookshelf. I just moved my mom in with us and acquired all her cozies which is probably close to a hundred books! My all time favorite series is Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swensen series. They are all titled around some type of baked good and they include recipes. First one came out in 2000 and she is still going strong. The 29th in the series comes out next year. I just read Arsenic and Adobo last week and immediately put the second one on hold at the library.
Yesss, Julie! Love another cozy friend! I have wanted to pick up the Hannah Swensen series forever and I just never have! I think there's so many books that it intimidates me 🤣 But if you say they are good, I'll have to pick it up! 💓
@@prideandpaperback Yes, definitely pick up the first one and see how you like it. I think you'll really like them. I just recently bought the first few books in the series. I'm going to start reading them again from the beginning. It's been years since I've read them.
I loved all the Aurora teagarden mysteries on Hallmark :) I just ordered the first 3 books from the bakeshop mysteries collection. I love mystery and thriller, but sometimes I just need to avoid the anxiety and chaos , Im really hopeful that Im going to enjoy the series !
Coming back here go watch after I’m finally getting info more cozies. ☺️ I think I like more modern cozies, too. I just finished and loved Buried in a Good Book by Tamara Berry. I’m obsessed! I was entertained from the first page, and I would love more cozies that grip me like that. ❤️
Campers and Criminals is so so good! I love the audiobooks. I love the characters so much, schitts creek/Gilmore girls vibes with those quirky characters 🤣 Tanya Kappes writes such fun silly characters ❤ I read Aurora Teagarden about 6 years ago, then didn’t read much for a long time and recently re-listened to the first one and was such a pleasant surprise. I also wanna listen to the Sookie Stackhouse novels too!
The Camper & Criminals cozy mystery series by Tonya Kappes is awesome! I'm starting book 8 and they just get better! I recommend a series called A Whiskers and Words Mystery Series by Eryn Scott! LOVE that series! Book 4 is coming out Sept 30th and Book 5 is coming out Dec 2nd of this year! The covers alone will make you want to read them! :)

I am going to check out the Real Murders. I first read Arsenic and Adobo last year and I didn’t like it that much but I think it’s because I didn’t know it was a cozy mystery or what that meant. So now I plan on rereading it😅😂😂
My favorite series is by Julie Mulhern called the Country Club Mysteries. They take place in the 70s. I also read many series by Kathi Daley. Any of her series are good reads.
Hey girl hey!! Thank you so much for this video! I’ve recently started my cozy mystery journey. Thanks for the definition!💜💜💜 Also I might be spamming your comments 😅
Hi! I loved this video . I would love to start reading cozy mysteries but didn't know where to begin. I've had my eye on Shady Hollow and death by dumpling. So I hope those are good ones to start with.
This is great! Thanks for putting this together! I just finished Thursday Murder Club and loved it. My first cozy mystery series I found and started reading was in 2020 and it's still new so there's only 3 right now or maybe it's just a trilogy, I'm not sure but I really liked them and they are perfect for the holiday season. It's the Christmas tree farm mystery series by Jacqueline Frost.
Patty-I have been involved with genre for years. Two of my favorites are Diane Mott Davidson and Victoria Thompson. I think you will enjoy them.
Sloan Krause is so good!!!! I'm on the 4th book right now! I really hope Ellie Alexander continues the series!!
