These oppressive laws are routinely and systematically designed to keep people with disabilities impoverished and poor. These laws need to be abolished, so we’re not being routinely and systematically forced into poverty and chronic homelessness. If employers hired us, our chances of being on welfare would be reduced. We are the most discriminated group.

I agree, I think the laws and the funding both need to go. It's not our right to restrict or impede anyone. We should all be provided the same opportunities to succeed and rewarded based on our performance, abilities, and skills

Universal healthcare in the United States would also help this. Healthcare services would not be able to charge the insane amounts which make peoples healthcare unaffordable without government assistance, which you can't receive without financial restrictions.

It’s the Insurance companies, Pharmaceutical Corporations as well as the corporations that own and run hospitals that are responsible for the insane health care costs. This is definitely pathetic. How about people with mental "disabilities"? Think it's right to pay them less than minimum wage, work damn near 40 hours a week, take that shitty ass metro mobility, and then have to live in group homes where nobody gives a fuck about them?
I know the "mental" ones get subsidized housing, group home coordinators, etc... But when you pay a human less than minimum wage, I see it as you saying they're less than the minimum to be human.
Start treating humans like humans. We really, at the most microscopic level, are all the same. I love y'all. I wish this life was more worthwhile. It's nearly a laugh how pathetic it is, but it's really a cry.

Well, they can make only 1100$ a month in order to receive PCA services. If they make more, they will lose that. But now try to find an apartment in Minnesota that is less than 1100$. Then add copayments for appointments and medications - you have nothing left for food or clothes. Some of disabled people can make a little more, that they desperately need for that reasons. But... being disabled every day is challenge, and not many can make additional 100k a year to pay PCA services
