Maddy may not be as young as she once was, but neither am I.
Her voice is still there in all its power, and I'm elated to see her still working.
Good on ya, Maddy. I look forward to many more songs from you.
What can I say, I am in oare of Maddy Pryor's, Valiant Talent.
Maddy Prior ... I love her!
Maddy is like a fine wine.
It's that Dixieland hautboy or shawm or whatever it is! Just brilliant!
@ianhorst ,
Apology accepted, no problem. The way UA-cam strings the comments makes it a bit hard to follow a thread of 'conversation'. Having listened to several things by the Carnival Band, I've decided that all these medieval musicologists are in their secret hearts, Dixieland Band players. This piece is just a hoot.
There is a rare record of songs by Sydney Carter, including "Lord of the Dance" and "Friday Morning." I believe Ms. Prior is one of the singers. Would anybody have it? Could someone post cuts on UA-cam?
@ianhorst ,
?? I think you mistook a comment I made about atfatwa as a criticism of Maddy Prior. I've been a Maddy Prior fan since about 1972 and still am. And I agree: she is a very talented pillar of English folk music. And entirely to my taste.
@Pangael
don't u mean for him put himself out of our misery?
Well, no.
Misery may love company, but participation is not mandatory. :-)
@atfatw I thought I'd made it clear that I don't want to hear any more of your childish twaddle. I'll say again, "Kindly piss off". This correspondence is now closed, and there will not be any more responses to you from me.
