All he needed was a clean single, Arias was going to score. What he got was a MOMENT that will live forever in Giants history.
A moment that will live forever in baseball history
Agreed, but he will always be a Giant because of it.
MANCHESTER UNITED what’s soccer? Is that the game where you kick people’s nuts around and flail on the ground after being tickled?
Rockets SuxBallzDeep Omg I was waiting for someone to snap at this guy 😂😂😂
Rockets SuxBallzDeep 😂😂😂😂
I still come back and watch this occasionally. It never gets old and always makes me happy. Born in the City and raised in Pacifica
One of my favorite games of all time! Michael Morse off the bench ties it up and then Travis does a walk off homer to get them to the WS! This was the decade of the SF Giants! Great memories! Great team! 😊
That homerun was legendary and that dude deserved it, I love this team!
I'm not even a Giants fan, but those moments are what makes baseball the best sport in the world.
sportsfan026 ehhhh baseball is kind of gay
If baseball is gay than why are u watching this
+John Edson Hate to break it to you but every sports locker room is very gay. Hell, even look womens' sports, many of them are lesbians.
I agree.I play baseball.I watch baseball.I live baseball.Baseball is the best sport in the world.
John Edson Lol a sport can't be gay. Your statement would make more sense if you said that baseball is for gay people but that still is false. If you meant happy gay then yes you are correct
I love that it was Ishikawa who hit the walk-off homer. The Cardinals had been picking on him all series due to his lack of experience in left field, and he gets to be the guy who puts the nail in their coffin in the most epic way.
Remember in 2012, when they DESTROYED the Cards in Game 7. Kicked their asses. Whooped them with a 9-0 Shutout.
I'm Giants Fan 4Life!!!
Yeah fuck the cardinals

Last guy to see the ball leave the yard...the Rightfielder, Oscar Taveras. 10 days later, unreal to say RIP.
Still shocking.
That is completely ironic. Im damn near his age and my brother is older, so god damn sad he finally had his MLB dream right fucking there.....
Much love and respect to Oscar and his family
What's even more unreal is the probability that had the Cardinals won the series... he'd probably still be alive.
badk1d Please dont put this on the Giants for winning. Tavares made the very dumb decision to drive drunk. I feel more sorry for the innocent victim he killed in his girlfriend sitting next to him.
Anytime I'm feeling blue, I view this. A kids baseball dream situation. Unbelievable.
Dick Lopez Me too!!! It's my ever-reliable pick-me-up.......
Right ! A walk off home run to win the Pennate ! Unimaginable
Absolutely not. Bottom of 9, Game 7 word series, down by 3, bases loaded, 2 outs, full count

I come back to this video once a year and it makes me tear up every time
I get chills everytime I watch it.
@@albertduarte5952 Well God bless your uncle because he gave me one of my top 3 favorite sporting moments of all time

I’m watching this 7 years later, SEVEN YEARS, and still get loads of chills
FACTS!
Oscar Taveras' last play as a baseball player before his death was watching a pennant clinching walk off HR sail over his head.
Props to Joe Buck for making a decent call here.
+Tristan Andrew He got caught by surprise more than anything; I think even Ishikawa himself was a bit shocked at what he had just done.
His call was better than the other dope on Altuve's walk off
Nunya Business that because he like the astros and did not like the yanks
Im shocked he even got that excited considering Buck's a huge Cards fan
I mean he copied the call from the Thompson homer
He used to go to the same church I went to in San Jose. Used to see him every Sunday. One of my favorite Giants of all time
Even as a dodgers fan I still come back to this clip from time to time. Absolutely amazing.
I remember watching this live. One of the greatest baseball moments of my life :')
I was going crazy when this happened!!!
I love how he throws his helmet down after rounding third base, like he is saying "Take that!".
Same
I was at work when I watched it. Got 0 work done, all glued to the screen lol
I followed Travis’ career since he was called up to the Giants the very first time, years ago. It was hard to watch him struggle, bouncing around from team to team, seeing him demoted from the majors to the minors on a regular basis.
So to watch him live, becoming a hero and engraving his name in a moment that will live forever in Giants lore, was so inspiring, and a dream come true!!
I miss these moments when we were winning World Series Championships
Go sf Giants
Too bad you guys have pretty much sucked for the past six years
Ben Dejo yep 😭😭
I’m pretty satisfied. 2002 sucked.
@@bendejo9235 As much I hate it, every team goes through it. One year, you're the champs, the next you're at rock bottom. Oh well...
@@bayareasportsfan04 thats y u gotta savor it in the moment. SF Giants Golden Years 2010 - 2016.
3 rings and 4 playoff runs. Not too bad eh ;0
AT&T Park went BONKERS!!. My drink got knocked outta my hand from all the celebrating... Still had a blast!!.
Joe Buck was waiting his entire life for that moment.
Joe Buck called the David Freese homerun in 2011 world series
This was the 2nd most exciting hr he called
+miggizle85 I remember that like it was yesterday:
"freese...wins it."
+K Schlg >>> Joe Buck is NOT a Giants fan. It just had to kill him to make that call.
miggizle85 the Boone home run is better than both
Starcrap 64 you should see his wife. I doubt you've ever been with a woman that good looking. Joe Buck > you.
Coming back to this video after so many years. We were so happy. I’d never anticipate the pain we’d see after 2014.
How about all the pains before 2010? 2002 still hurts a lot. Man, 6 outs away and the Giants blew it in game 6
I'll never forget watching this walkoff at a BJ's in San Diego. I was screaming so loud and no one else there cared cuz they were all padres fans i am assuming 😂
Travis Ishikawa, HITS ONE INTO RIGHT, THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!!!
I'm not gonna lie as a Giants fan this moment almost made me cry
And it still does to this day

All sports have their dramatic moments, but nothing beats a walk-off homerun
What about a walk off suicide squeeze?
Nicholas Brown I'm a fan of the walk-off throwing error to first base.
sfgiantstorture Worst throw ever! I loved it!
This is the third time Mike Matheny had to watch the Giants celebrate a trip to the World Series while wearing a Cardinals uniform in San Francisco ('02, '12, '14).
Matheny's a class act. He learned about losing gracefully from being a Giant in 2005 and 2006. Those were some ugly years for the team that are best forgotten.
Aquaria Austin Matheny is a class act, tipping his hat to Bochy....Good job Mike.
+Raymond 2002????
1990Thunderbolt Yes. He was the Cardinals starting catcher.
Matheny got kicked in the curb last week. This series was the final nail in the Cardinals' coffin and AT&T Park was,is and always will be the house of horrors for the Cardinals as far the playoffs are concerned. Matheny was on all 3 teams and lost in the NLCS on all of them at AT&T Park.
I will NEVER get tired of this!
Giants are gonna win the World Series.
Michael Terrell they already did haha
ben helwani Bro he said that last year.
Viewing Account Bro he said that 7 months ago, the comment was made after they won still.
*****
October 28,2014 was when this video was posted. Check your calender bro. When was game 7 again thanks brother see ya later.
Viewing Account Who gives a fuck? His comment was made 7 months ago, that means he made it in December after they won. Later.
Cardinals fan here, I remember this like it was yesterday..I had to work that night, but as I walked out of work I saw that the game was tied, i got to my car, pulled up the Cards radio feed..literally 10 seconds after I turned it on, it was over. I just remember sitting there in the parking lot in silence for a good 15-20 Minutes before finally driving home. Also my birthday was the next day so this was a wonderful early present -_-
@AAP ehhh dont feel too bad. You guys had some really good teams that were deserving of those World Series victories. We (the cards) just happened to be on the receiving end in the NLCS during both Giants title runs, and this clip wasn't nearly as devastating as that blown 3-1 series lead ( I seem to remember Pablo Sandoval hitting a looooot of homers) where it looked pretty clear that the winner of the series would surely beat the Tigers
@AAP The cardinals have won WAY too much. You shouldn't feel bad at all.
I'm a huge Giants fan and omg this game made me cry of joy
So many great moments in those years. Timmy's 14K performance in 2010, all those elimination-game wins in 2012, and then Bumgarner in 2014.
Unbelievable that I got to see it all.
True that. We were absolutely spoiled back then. What a time to be a Giants fan
@@noahdaugherty8235 yeah it was. Pretty fun game tonight too. Haha
That Bobby Thompson moment couldnt of had been better, but for it to go to Travis Ishikawa. He is a well deserving player and I am glad that he got that moment.
I remember sitting in class when this game was on and I was live streaming it with the sound off. Took all the restraint I had to not jump up screaming while the professor was lecturing. One of my favorite moments in SF Giants history!!
I was so happy I ran through my whole house screaming and eventually crying when this happened lol
+Sherlock Homeboy same here, boy!I ran thru my house, hugged my dog, screaming and jumping.... all alone haha but it was worth it
What did you guys do when Blanco misplayed that single in Game 7 of the 2014 WS bottom of the 9th with 2 outs? I fraeked out!! I about had a heart attack but I knew MadBum would not let us down!!!! We need to get MadBum a win!! The last 2 outings against the Pirates and now Phillies we have lost a close one! To early tho u think to start saying its an even year? Honestly in 2014 I was at AT&T park when Brandon Hicks hit a game winning walkoff homerun and I said Even Year!!! I expected it........
I still think Gordon could have scored on that hit.. My heart skipped more than a few beats on that one
+Acey Da Spaceman
Gordon probably would've been thrown out by Brandon Crawford (one of the best Defensive SS in the game). Crawford has a great arm as a SS, so unless you want to him to be put out in heartbreaking fashion, it would be wise to let Gordon set up a game-tying (if not winning) opportunity for his team.
This 1 still gives the chills. Go Giants !
Here after Altuve’s walkoff in 2019.
Same
Yep
Same
And doing it by cheating
Sonido Acuario unlike the honest orange team that won a WS
Travis Ishikawa was already a fan favorite before this. A moment like this couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. #forevergiant
I remember this game and Travis' home run. At the time, I was choked up knowing how hard he played and how much he wanted to be in the majors but could never quite cut it. If your career is going to have anything that brings into focus your love and passion for the great game of baseball, a homerun of this caliber is just the thing. Well done, Travis. This homer will be remembered for a long, long time.
Imo, this call and the one for Morse's game-tying hr that night were the best of his season. Too bad I didnt get to watch it, I was at AT&T Park that night!

No matter how many times I see this over the years, it brings tears of joy to my eyes!
Anytime life brings me down I watch these classics to get me back up. I swear something about October does something to this team nobody who is playing 💪
Almost a decade later and it stills gives me chills
Here is a remaking of history for the Giants. Respeck for them from an Indians fan
Um, no. This is the real magic season bruv. 11 walk-offs, and a playoff clinch, along with them destroying he sox in the ALDS
Respect to the Tribe from SF
sadly, we didnt get it
This is why I wanted you guys to win. Every Indians fans I've met is classy and humble as well as the team. Cub fans are rude, cocky and disrespectful. Sorry bro, good fight.
Incredible Jake ye I know. It's because they're bandwagons saying we blew a 3-1 lead. I'm happy for the cubs that they ended the billygoat curse.
Every time I watch this I get goose bumps....I still remember the night this happened and buying my World Series ticket!
Ishikawa had a real tough career, but no one can take this away from him. He earned his 2014 ring right here.

despite mis playing an outfield ball, Travis stayed with it!!! truly amazing!! NEVER GIVE UP!
I loved every WS championship the Giants won, but this is one of my favorite moments among the plays that got them there. His face and helmet throw says it all! The backstory on Travis is the best with a great message: Keep working hard and your moment will come.

“The Giants win the pennant!” are words every SF kid dreams about when they clutch their glove and go to sleep. It’s a story as old as time. It’s Willie it’s Mac, it’s Clark.
