Good video, I learned a lot but am still confused about 1 thing: Doesn't the "EVERYONE" group include "everyone" including those outside the workgroup? This makes it look like it only includes those in the workgroup. (Or maybe I am thinking too much of the "all" bit like in Linux and it doesn't work the same in Windows)
I've already set the network and the authorization of the folders in each computer. But In the next week I've changed the wifi touter, and only 1 of the 3 computers cannot watch them. Even though the network and configuration are identical in the 3 computers with the same windows 10
@@brsandlin9 Find the IP of the computer that is sharing out the folder and map by IP instead of computer/server name. Let me know if this works for ya.

So before hand should you connect a workgroup with a switch or hub..or is it lan to lan?
yes, if you don't connect your computer, then is not a workgroup. Your computer should be connected to some sort of network through a switch
whts the point of workgroup if we cant share data outside our computer..its pretty much useless..
Workgroups are more for organization purposes than anything else. Managing users and access in a workgroup is messy..
You can share resources in a workgroup. But that user needs to exist in both computers

Same problem. My router died. Installed new router, now none of my PCs appear on the network.
