Buy this kit a lots more from Hobby Link Japan www.hlj.com/

Man i miss this guy's reviews. wish he had some new ones.
i miss this guy to man
You could really feel his passion and excitement in all of his vids. He is a legend to be remembered.
A particular reviewer threw shade about him recently, shows he was the original Newtype reviewer . Godspeed Robert
What happened?
thanks to this video, I finally remember the name of this MS, been trying to remember its name for a while, and I'm hoping to pick up the MG at some point, one of my favorite suits when I was younger and my most favorite gundam series 0083
This is by far one of my favorite Gundams. However the kit was a pain. I really wish they included parts that allowed you chose to build a standard core for the kit, as well as for the Core Fighter style. Once built, I can't imagine any scenario in which I would want to take apart to show off the Core Fighter.
It looks awesome, but any movement will cause issues.
Why is there no RG GPO2A :(
I'm glad we never did get a GP02A in RG when the G0P1s came out. That would have been a nightmare at the time. I think Bandai could pull it off now considering how well engineered the Sazabi is.
Just like why there is no RG Reborns
I just put this together myself and had the hardest time getting the head set together. Actually had to modify a part for it to fit properly. Over all though, love it.
I appreciate the AGE reference. Most people tend to bash it, but the numerous number of allusions to previous Gundam shows made it a treat. Granted, it took me several tries to actually get past the first five episodes.
I've had some problems on this kit when closing the Red Hatch, how did you get it to close like that?
In regards to that joke at the end about AGE excluding the GP01 homages/reference, the Age-1 switching from the normal to the Titus/Sparrow is similar to the GP01 switching to the full Vernier. Both suits essentially swap out the legs and arms to achieve a different look and function while still maintaining the same head and torso. In my opinion you can look at that part swapping/upgrading concept as an homage to the GP01/full Vernier.
Hey Rrobbert, what are your thoughts on the possibility of Bandai up scaling the GP's from real grade to master grade 3.0(2.0 technically) like they seemed to do with the RX-78 and most likely the zakus in the future? And for that matter any of the RG's?
Amazing how this kit is actually improvement compared to normal one.
Still, incompetence is a rather strong word to use. Most people that would be buying this model probably want it for the model itself, regardless of the cons. I'd rather have warnings on kits that I'm going to be building, than to expect perfection from Bandai. Most reviewers tend to excessively praise kits, when I personally have had many instability issues with them.
I mean if I'm not mistaken the parts they essentially added for space maneuverability and ridiculous thrust are called Vernier thrusters...
I have the ‘97 MG and damn I think I’m definitely gonna get this guy and replace the old man off my shelf. Those old MG’s are still fun builds but man that one in particular looks way outdated compared to this
I don't know...we got the RG RX-78-2 first, then that got upscaled to an MG 3.0. So we really can't say for certain.
I do want an MG 2.0 kit of the GP01/Fb, though - it's certainly been long overdue, and it's a lead mobile suit at that. Perhaps the RG's potential flimsiness issues won't be so problematic at a larger scale.
Don't buy this kit. It really looks good but it has alot of problems. The biggest problem for me is the upper torso, when you put the lower part of the torso on the waist the upper part fits but there isn't any way to stay fixed, once you pick it up to change it's pose it will fall of like you see in the video. The other big problem is the arms, the movement of the arm is terrible on the arm connection, if you force to much it will break. I wont even put decals because i'm going to use it for parts.
patadeurso thanks for the warning..i have the normal gp01 it was a mess...but a good mess i managed to make it sturdy though im not sure about gp01FB but i think i can make it sturdy..atleast temporarily if its fresh build.
I just made this one and I agree. The parts are great when separated but the whole thing put together is so flimsy.
I glue it,problem solved
They didnt make glue just for no reason lol
The head, side skirt armor, arms and upper legs are the only parts that stay the same from GP01 to GP01fb. The chest is almost the same but the cockpit hatch is a different color, and the shoulders, lower legs and front/back skirt armor are different.
Robert, the thrusters on the chest dont need to be "fished" like that. There are two switches under the core block similar to the shoulders.
By the way, i see that there is a gap between the lower tosor and the core block, if you see that, u should try to push the core block down a bit more. It will help the upper body more solid
Finally, while some comments said you forgot to the hatch on the core block ,I dont think you forgot on FB (just the Zephy). You just need to push everything down more
Has anyone noticed that the feet are actually the originals with extra armor?
rrobbert184 did make a mistake with the Zephyranthes by not opening the flaps and blaming it for faults that he has made himself due to his own carelessness. However, if you look at 8:30 he has opened the flaps and it still has problems. But, as is shown with this review, opening the flaps and pegging in the upper body does help with the structural stability of the model, which was why the Full Burnern was able to hold its shield. Still, both of them still have problems with their structural integrity, but out of the two, the Zephyranthes is more stable and solid than the Full Burnern.
Hey, for getting the thrusters popping out, I found it a lot easier to put the chest on and then pull the thrusters out. After that, put the legs on and prose to your hearts content
This is an awesome kit! Where’s a good place too buy this?
Yes and the same could be said of the Age-1 and it's various modes. As I mentioned, it could be a reference to the GP01/GP01fb. It may not be the exact per swapping but the basic idea is the same. This is just my speculation, I'm not saying this a fact.
Yeah same here I tried to be open minded and although Age didn't do that well I didn't hate it. I have to give the creators credit for trying to do something different but perhaps it was too ambitious for them. I appreciate those references as well. I think most people confuse homages as copying/lack of originality. Look at Pacific Rim- a dream come true for an anime mecha fan such as myself and it's being described as a live action Eva ripoff or merely Transformers vs Godzilla mash up.
well in gundam Age, wolf final suit actually does resemble to the GP01 FB with its back pack thruster
I think so: in Japanese it's フル バーニアン ("Furu baanian")
If it were really meant to be "burnern" I'd expect it to be バーナーン ("baanaan", no "i" sound in it)
That said, the original 1:144 kit is also identified as "Full Burnern", so if it's a mistake it's a very old one. One of those things you just have to choke down because it's official. :)
I accidently break the shoulder attachment. Just glue it with super glue, but still felt flimsy and can't do anymore pose :(
Alot the of the new kits even in MG don't have the toyish look anymore. The MG RX-78-2 VER. 3.0 and NU VER. KA have a more flat coat to the plastic. Love the quality approach of the RG and MGs line for the long run, heck even SD and HGUC.
Og gundam reviewer
Thanks for your answer. I think I'll give it a try then !
yea the full burnern comes to mind.. thanks for the advice!
I wonder if this kit means we will not be geting a MG 2.0 of this guy? Id love a mg
I find it easier to put the top half on the core block, then push the tabs forward to get the chest burners exposed.
Can u compare with Gp02 hg?
got it as a present, first complete (most of kit i got when i was a kid ended up screwed) . Has to said that bandai just squeeze a PG down to 1/144 @@! totally love it
more like a MG squeezed into 1/144 scale. Still, phenomenal! Can't wait for RG Wing series :)
As others have pointed out you have not attached the upper torso to the core block properly. There are two panels that open out on the core black that allows small pegs on for the upper torso to have a stable attachment. You've done the mistake on the GP01 and this Full Vernen version. Read the instructions carefully before giving negative criticism based on your incompetence rather than the design of the kit itself.
Its a miracle rrobbert use the decals!!
I like the Zephyranthes more.
I don't know if the concept artists had that in mind or if it was just purely coincidental but it just came to mind when I thought about the joke you made. It's just my two cents though, who knows.
Got this one and strike freedom on my trip to Japan $20 each! Woo!
Question to those who have bought the PG GP01 : is it worth buying ? Some people say the look of the head isn't very good..
wow, nice panelling !
I watched the mg ver ka nu gundam review and I went and bought it and im so glad I did, im wondering, (pen or paint wise)what do you use for getting rid of the runner bits? I currently use a craft knife and sharpies (depending on colour, white I don't bother with pens)
yeah think you didnt open the two small flaps on the top of the core fighter to secure the top half of the gundam just like you did with the GP-01. i would consider doing that before you put up your final verdict or just make a vid concerning that
Did you ink the panel lines in this? That thing looks mean!
did you do all the panel lining yourself?
I think the r is silent in vernier.
I think it really is subjective as there are certain words in the English language that have so many different meaning/contexts that it can be misinterpreted. "Competence" is essentially another word for "ability" and so by extension "incompetence" is lack of an ability". We all lack certain abilities until we learn to acquire them. I was not trying to use the word in the same negative connotation of a lack of intelligence. This is all my opinion on how I understand the word any ways.
I want to get this kit so badly!
Rrobbert, you and your shoving in Jojo. Is that the statue legends or the super action statue of Gappy?
Mine just isn't that stable with the arms. I connected the core block correctly, and the arms still get knocked loose... If I get another Fb, I'm gluing it to where it will always be a Gundam and keep my current one in Core Fighter II form.
Also he did connect it right in this review, but it doesn't help much.
this would be sick along with physalis
HOW DO YOU EVEN AVE TIME TO PUT ON THE STICKERS ON A RG????????
AARON VO by having patience
XDDDD
what happened to the beam rifle mag?
I love my PG GP01. The head is fine IMHO, and looks really mean with the LED lit up! It has its some very minor issues, at least as far as i have experienced, but what kit doesn't? It was my first PG because you get two suits (kind of) and the MS Cage. And it looks really good either way!
Man hope robbert don't pissed with pasific rim2 actually come out
I shall make the Gp01FB mine, I'll have the RG Rx78, RG mk2, plus this. (for my Gundam suits)
To anyone who can read this: should I get this one or the GP01 Zephyranthes?
Twin brother of the Impulse Gundam
Can you attach the fb core to the Zephyranthes?
Your good in building man I applaud you good sir
it depends. Which one do you like more?
I hope Bandai will release the GP02 in RG Line too ... :)
It needs a Rg val varo....lots of assembly fun
Damn those Burnern's mechanical legs ..
I kinda broke my mk-II RG gundam :(
All the mechisms in a 144 scale makes RG kinda easy to break
What's with the little beam on the bottom of the beam rifle
It's to catch beam sabers if u do t have time to grab your beam sabers to parry it
Now I'll just wait for RG GP02...
my pleasure.
The upper body isn't correctly connected to the core block.
To be fair I did say "commenters" plural meaning it wasn't directed at just you but yeah I don't want to do any further escalation so let's just agree to disagree. Likewise, have a good day sir/madam.
Having insane trouble with the shoulder
love GP01
I want a MG 2.0 version of This!
Its worth it but somehow outer armor is really plain if compared with RG
Think of 'GP-01' which one comes to mind first? Or you could flip a coin.
haha I cant decide, I like both but I have to choose only one
I already responded to "justintertwine" in regards to my opinion on the use of the word incompetence. Feel free to refer to that comment as I do not feel like retyping it again. I have pointed out the mistake. I don't want to sound confrontational, but it seems commenters such as yourself are the ones having a difficult time "leaving it at that".
I wonder if they meant to say "Vernian" since they mix b and v often. >.> ...Vernian... Vernier (pronounced Ver-knee-ay???)
Burnern?
which do you prefer mk II or Full Berern?
For me I prefers full burnern
i have both, FB looks better but i think zeph is a lot better
Is it gud?
Just get both
Holy shit rrobert184 just predicted pacific rim 2
I get where you're coming from. There are definitely more derogatory words that can be used, but incompetence is still pretty borderline in common vernacular. I admit that Robert can be overly critical in many of his reviews. Even so, wouldn't it make you feel better if your kit turned out to be better (in this case, more stable) than his? :)
People tend to forget about a 4 letter word called g-l-u-e
Robeeert, please do more reviews
Wish it didn’t have core fighter it just causes the build to be flimsy
rob you ever thought of becoming a sports announcer, or going into radio news?
I actually own the RG01 "Zepthyrathes" and if you assemble it properly it is quite stable. It is not perfect by any means but if you were to give it a scale it's definitely no where near the instability of the early RGs or Zeta but about the same as the freedom and the other seed RG kits-which are pretty stable to begin with. IMO the best stable RG kit I've ever built was the Mk II-nearly no issues.
I'm surprised they didn't spell it "Full Vernian" considering how they spell out バーニアン(baanian). sounds like Vernian lol
in japanese, it don't have any character spell "ver". So we must use "ba" instead of "ve", just in writing. it will be read " venia"
I'm probably gonna glue him together
Holy shit!! That's a lot of panel lining for a 1/144 HG!!
First I would like to mention that my comment had nothing to do with nor was it directed at you. Therefore hypocritically there is no need of you to feel animosity towards me in accusing me of being condescending or trying to "overcompensate for something". It's called criticism. The comment section on youtube is not meant for merely positive feedback. I stand by what I said and I do not feel that I have spoken out of turn.
gonna pass on this set, strike freedom I await your arrival!!
I disagree. As I use incompetence to describe my own actions as well as my family and friends when they make a small/big mistake. I feel it's more respectful to use a word such as incompetence rather than the usual derogatory terms people use. As I said it's just my opinion. I feel he should correct himself as I'm sure you would agree Robert can be overly critical sometimes to the point of wanting perfection. In this particular case he is complaining about an issue that's not really justified.
Dont poke ur gundpla with that hobby knife, that hurts my feeling.
true, bro B-)
Cross bone x1
If the shoe fits, wear it.
I agree that we all make mistakes but although this can be objective on my part but considering the large number of viewers he has that usually take his reviews as general means of the worth of the kit. I feel that it is irresponsible of him to mislead his viewers into thinking this kit has major stability issues when he is the one who made the mistake. I maybe blowing out of proportion but personally I feel that it's misleading.
Whatever happened to this guy? He hasn't updated the channel in two years.
He is still sleeping haha. due to his community is toxic that's why he quit and he get exhausted that is the story.
