I’ve done a bit of world travel and seen all kinds of places people and natural wonders. I took a Rovos trip from Pretoria to Victoria Falls a few years ago and it was, without a doubt, the most incredible travel experience my wife and I have ever had. The country side and wild life are spectacular but what really stood out was the exemplary people, food and facilities Rovos has managed to put together. This company is truly well ran, it shows in the attention to detail from all their employees and translates into fabulous experience for everyone on board. We will rerun 😊
I doubt you will ever return there. Not with this black communist government ruining the whole country! Re the food, I am a European, I found the menus a tad strange combinations.
We took this train 20 years ago and we can confirm the outstanding quality of accommodation, food and sightseeing on the the two night trip. It was beyond "First Class". Pampered from the moment we arrived at the train station in Pretoria to the moment we arrived in Cape Town. After dinner having a coffee and sipping frangelico in the viewing car as we travelled through the star filled night in the Karoo was a memorable experience.
