That poor guy:
First, he's stranded alone on Mars, now he's being chased by Zombies. The man just can't get a break!
If you enjoy zombie audiobooks I recommend searching on UA-cam for a audiobook called “Deadbreak” it’s probably one of the best audio zombie book I’ve ever listened too. I’d put it up there with world war z and the zombie survival guide.
Finished it and need another book
Arisen good book if you can find it
@@chrisquirke5235 Yes. Book 1 and 2 are both good.
@@metalheadweeb7132 damn well have any suggestions? I’ve heard zone one and patient zero are good ones. But then there’s also the Stephen kings cell. So if you haven’t read these it’s a good start.
Just finished this. I’ll see if it’s worth it.
This story had everything people look for when they hear one -- good character development, good plot, good descriptors... It was just fantastic. The reading was perfect and well-suited to the story.
Great descriptive writing
Dynamite! Captivating story. R.C. Bray brings it to life and takes you on an adventure! The best narrator ever!
Agreed, anything he narrates is money
I challenge you to read mike bennet, underwood and flinch and still say the same, you won't regret it amazing book and storytelling, it's on librovox and on here I think.
@@tezzmanss1812 Will do! Who knows, I might be surprised 🤨
@@Roland1601 I think you will enjoy, be hard pressed not was one of the first audio books I really enjoyed..he also has a book called smoke and mirrors, or hall of mirrors one of the two memories a little vague..Al's great though, hope you enjoy it mate.
This book was 1 of the most awesome zombie storyline I ever heard of in a long time. Thank you so much. I can't wait for book 2.
I think it’s better if it ends here. Also one of the coolest ones I’ve ever read. Wwz and really any other zombie book doesn’t come close to this. Tho I’ll need to read more
Listen to "The Remaining" by DJ Molles. Lee Harden will become your new hero.
Very well written. Author does a fantastic job immersing the listener/reader. Good story. Fantastic narrator too.
what kinda pisses me off is that he dident took any of the food supplys from the crazy mans house... or that he dident take the riot gun... i hate things like that in apocalypse books and movies...
RC Bray is a voice for the ages. The author however must have been in an automobile accident because of the number car accidents implied or detailed became tiresome! So many chances for character development that could have been explored. Plus, the infinite ammo! Other than that a good read.
His work on Expeditionary Force is his best work ( I think )
Lol, TIREsome
Love R. C Brays narration.
Of course there is infinite ammo its only 3 weeks into the apocalypse all the houses are full of food as well. Nothing has been pillaged yet.
@@dercorpseidjit They can _drive_ you mad.
Absolutely incredible, doesn't let up for a second, make one hell of a movie, plus the narrator is honestly the best I've ever heard , thanks so much for this !!
🔥🔥 Well done, but 1.5 hours in, the helicopter that's threatened to crash in the first 2 minutes has finally crashed.
🔥🔥 That's it.
🔥🔥 That's ALL that's happened.
🔥🔥 Maybe 7 hours in they'll actually do something.
🔥🔥 ANYTHING.
Dude seriously!! I'm 39 min in and I'm already irritated with this. Like how long do u need to drag out a helicopter scene?? Did u finish it? Does the helicopter scene ever go away?
Awaiting your reply cuz I had to stop listening haha 😆
@@carlosmondragon6639 yea at about 1hr15ish lol
Yeah, it was pretty stupid.
I thought it was going to be a dead zombie 😆 flying it
@@carlosmondragon6639its been 2yr since your comment and the helicopter still had not crashed
@conegan630 good lord haha!
now that was a badass zombie story constant adrenaline from start to finish good plot development good characters very basic points good and clean loved it.
Can’t go wrong with RC Bray!
Well, maybe except for this one, I guess.
A great story! Not a big rigamarole of over embellished craziness. Just survival and horror. Loved it! Great narration too!
My favorite narrator!
RC BRAY Yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I was hoping to fall asleep listening but the great storyline content and narrator means I’m tired now, been listening all night. I’d doze off and keep rewinding back to catch up on missing parts. Heehee like a real book. Fortunately it’s lockdown so I’ll keep listening and maybe not do any work from home today. Thank you for a great story, generally I’m not into the Zombie genre, this is good. I shouldn’t have read comments, didn’t realise some of the group died. I’m 2 hours in.
Im starting it now I gotta get off the comments or ima spoil it for myself😂😂
I shouldn’t have read your comment either 😭
Know what you mean...
Well, at least you didn't say who died.
Fell asleep listening as well; had cool dreams of vampires and undead... Very entertaining. Now I'm going to listen to it again
Idk if this would be as good with any other narrator. RC Bray did a phenomenal job. Great book. The end ~ a twist no one could see coming.
i saw it coming
I found this audio by chance I'm an hour in and can't stop listening. Awesome story so far
Yep my favourite so far
WTF are people complaining about? This was pretty damn good.
Agreed
Fantastic book...fantastic narrator. Thank you for making the book available to us.
Wow. This story has been playing in my ears for 2 days. Such a wonderful yet horrifying story. Good job Nicholas Ryan.
I'm a truck driver. This was thoroughly entertaining while on the road. I didn't want it to end. Sucks Clinton died so unceremoniously. I liked him. Funny how I liked Jed too lol. You should upload more.

@@tj281983 Aww shucks!
I like the gripping story line. But all I would really add to it is a feature of doing chapters at a time to track where I at. I'm a hour into the story. It is deep and very descriptive and tense to follow what will happen next.
I love this authors style...another gripping story line!!! & the superb work by the narrator is the sweet icing on the tasty cake!!!
First time making it through an audio book and I loved it!
Thank you for reading this for so many to enjoy. My eyes have been too tired for me to read and you voiced this story amazingly.
I came across this story a little while back and lost it. HAPPY af I found it again! It is incredible listening to what I already have a 2nd time while catching up to where I remembered leaving off! One of the more brilliant Zombie novels! Just as good as the Scratch Sullivan or Marcus Battle series!
Excellent narration and writing.
R.C. Bray, one of the best in the biz.
I thought it was awsome! Great book, and i think the narrator did an excellant job. I loved the characters, aw man, the old man sniper was just awsome, could not have been better. Main charactors dying rght and left, i didnt know if any one was gonna survive. In my opinion it was superbly written, and narrated just right. Bravo!!
Oops, left out the narration in my review. Hey, narrator... YOU'RE A LEGEND! Lol... very well done. I could literally see Jed when you did his voice
I absolutely loved that story! And I loved the reading of it too! Thank you!
A great voice for narrating! I would love to find more of his work. Great author as well. Top 10 list as far as I'm concerned.
Thanks for putting this out here.
You both have a new fan.
Genuinely worried if we have a zombie outbreak. I'm from the UK and guns are almost impossible to come across in civilian areas
Dang that tooth extraction had me cringing and wincing
Brilliant story. Loved it. And narrator was amazing. Thank you.
This was incredible, absolutely perfect in every way!!! I do think a little ambience music and sound effects in the background at certain parts would be a bonus
A VERY little & it depends on the music
Music sound affects didnt hear them but only with 1 headphone
Yes your Correct ( person) man. Interesting compeling scary Story for sure you think?
Except for the detail the author went into about the old man's dick and how he was rubbing it. That was a little much.
I love this! I need to find more stories like this, just a few days of the lives of survivors no big overblown story, just a simple but awesome dash through the apocalypse.
Any reccomendations for stories like this? Also love the narrator.
"White flags" is kind of written individual perspective. Give some time to "White flag" understand how storytelling started rolling. I don't think it's this intense..
Deadbreak is really good in my opinion

@@atothek1804 that's the start of a 9 book set... Brilliant though
Good story. Almost a never a dull moment, kept me hooked to the end.
This was a GREAT audio book. Loved every second of it. The descriptive writing while on occasion was a little repetitive was still enough to keep a constant picture painted in my mind of the story as it progressed.
The twists and turns of the story weren't telegraphed in advance like some books in the genre, and the characters were deep and relatable even though they were limited to just a few.
Good listen!
Not bad, I enjoyed the story. Kind of brief, but engaging, thanks for sharing.
Well written, very descriptive, and well narrated. Though I found myself at times wanting to explore and loot certain areas during the few lull moments. Otherwise an enjoyable experience.
This is my first audiobook and I have to say I'm impressed This was really good
Pretty decent book. It didn’t really catch my attention or captivate me but it’s worth a listen. A free listen, wouldn’t pay for it.
Pretty good zombie story amazing narrator I would recommend this to friends
Thanks this was a fun story to listen to had me in the first 10 minutes . Voice change for each character vary good storytelling
Not bad. Better than many of similar content. A little contrived perhaps, but I'd found it kept my interest enough to follow it to the end.
This was a SAWEEETT!!! STORY!!! And great job narrating!!
This could have been a really good book if it wasn't so much daily life instead of a zombie horror Thriller
Wow. I was not at all expecting this to be so good!
Reading for my english class, and boy I enjoyed this! Love the detail and love the instant thought on who will live or die.
"reading" frfr no cap
"His man mountain of bulk", best line
This had the potential to be much longer but as far as I’m concerned it was good. Thank you.
I'm an hour and seventeen minutes in and...WOW!!
😂 and still, the helicopter isn't crashing...
Incredible story. I can't wait to see what's next..
THIS ONE REMINDS ME OF THE WALKING DEAD THE VERY FIRST SEASON
Dang this must have been RC Bray early work. He has gotten a lot better since this.
239:57 interesting and fast paced as far as action, but the extraneous detail could’ve used a little editing. Other than that I’m enjoying it
Why did it take a whole year to describe the heli crash like shit crash already
They really found the sex drawer
The part with 50 shades had me silently laughing at my job and then of all things Jed said "Maybe thats why the killed themselves" I burst out laughing and had to leave the office
Its meee.....jessiicaaaaa!!!!
If only there was a Rob Schneider emoji haha.
Damn what a good story!!!
Poor dog. He was hungry and the other was dead, he wasn't a bad boy
Great book. Thanks for the audio version.
SPOILERS!
The good:
The author's writing style is terrific. His story telling is much better than his story creating. It's Immersive. So many times it's the other way around. Someone comes up with a great story, but they can't write. Honestly, if I ever do anything with my novel, I'd be more than happy to hand it off to this guy because I know I could never tell it as well as he could.
And that skin suit old man is one of the best apocalypse characters I've ever read.
The bad:
This simply isn't a great story. .. or even a good story. I still recommend it because of the brilliant writing... but expect every Hollywood style cliche that can be jammed into an apocalypse book.
The protagonist is the most despicable person in the story. Yes, even worse than skin suit old guy. Nailing your brother's wife is just about the biggest betrayal a human can commit. I turned it off after that. I'm pretty sure he was going to live, and I needed to finish the story in my own head so he dies in a painful manner.
And why did the secret service guy lie? It makes no sense. Random people would be more likely to help if they know you're connected and have powerful people who want you to live.
I'm guessing that girl isn't really his daughter
If your biggest complain is the protagonist falling in love with the wife of his obviously shitty, murderer criminal brother. Plz man, dont be ever a critic.
This story is one of the best i have ever heard, hands down
This guy looooves SAT words
can you help me find the audio book based on the description? I can only remember bits and pieces:
a zombie story where a brother thinks his younger brother is dead then the older brother saves a boy and that boy meets the younger brother years later after joining the army
RC Bray's voice sounds like Robert Smigel's Wonderman, from TV Funhouse back in 2000.
Overwhelming amount of detail didn't need so much
Is there more to this story? I love it....don't want to be left hanging...
2:35:00 I've had to go through this. The numbing meds don't work and I needed a tooth out now. The dentist refused to pull it because I was gonna feel everything and said I needed to go to an oral surgeon. I begged and promised I could do it. As soon as he gripped the tooth, it shattered. We were committed now! So he went in with the drill to be able to grip the rest of the tooth and got it out in a couple of pieces. Felt everything but didn't make a sound other than a little grunting. I basically collapsed in the chair in tears. It traumatized the dentist and nurse. Felt better and thanked them in the end.
LOVED it!!! Thanks for the hard work put into this book!
Um you do know this you tuber stole this and is trying to make money off of it right?
This is not too bad. It's no Day By Day Armageddon but still, pretty good 👌
Thank you for the hint on what to listen to next!
@@GAWells-lj7qo Day by Day is my all-time favorite zombie apocalypse novel series. The characters know and understand noise and weapon discipline, and he uses a lot of legit survival tips throughout the books as well. You're gonna love it.
@@The_OneManCrowd amazing book
@@OShackHennessy The whole series is great. Shattered Hourglass gets a bit prodding but overall, really good 👍🏿
@@GAWells-lj7qo I too shall take it as a hint on what to listen to next, I have 3 hours left of this, which I'm very much enjoying.
Love the tooth scene an nice bit of realism
He's one terrible driver
Yes RC Bray!!! The Hell Divers Series was a masterpiece narration. Hmm lots of car incidents here.
What a gem. Thanks for sharing.
None of the grown men in this know how to drive a car.
This was an amazingly well done story. Note to possible listeners, this one is worth the time. Definitely worth it.

Very good book. RC Bray makes it even better.
Would love to hear more was the best zombie story ive heard in a long while
Excellent, something different, very well written!!
I thought it was cool as shit hearing the guy say Virginia, my states never in anything zombie related. Walking dead maybe, but thats about it.

This was remarkable, thank you truly
Second time I've heard this book and it's still a captivating story. Wouldn't be suprised if I take another listen.

RC Bray, he's the one
At first I was like why is it taking so long to get to the point but glad I stayed with it cause it’s good!
Great one!!! Great story and awesome narrator!! It is worth listening 👍. Thanks!!
jed kinda sounds like the guy from red dead redaption 2
SMH, ... gotdamn this was good. The narration reminds me of Sin City.
I would love to see dark somnium narrate this story.

They moved once. Somehow nothing has really happened in the last 3 hours and 10. Well, the most unathletic dude died. Every other sentence one person wants to do one thing, while the next guy wants to do another.
Very good!! The narrator was excellent ❤️.
This would have been better without the same and repeated descriptions.
Long silent seconds
Adjective overload.
Good story though.
RC Bray is great.
