    One of my grandpa is a Shaman. He saw ghost all the time. When we went hunting, he waved to no one there and said his Hmong name. Turns out the guy he said died 2 years before

    My grandfather was a shaman. It was cool to watch and scary at the same time cause I didn't understand it till I was older.

    I really like the Billy Lor videos on youtube. I really wnat more videos on him. I like seeing shamanism from his perspective. Billy and Tassie Yang should do a video on it.

    As a non-shaman, this topic is very interesting to me. Thanks for putting out the info out there.

    nobody's not mentioning on here about how our hmong shaman can actually go to the underworld and even take a person with them, to visit love ones.. some crazy stuff

    We also have to admit that it’s hard to communicate when the Hmong language is so primitive and will never adapt/ advance. so the way we can express emotion and thought is very restricted.
    Whereas the English language allows us to communicate better and have a better understanding of what’s happening.

    The truth is it’s difficult to learn period. If you do find a teacher, there is a good chance that the teacher is not teaching you to the fullest. It’s sad but it’s true. A lot of the older gen will not completely teach you everything. One reason why the hmong tradition in general is dying.

    Have the Shaman climb to the roof and jump up and down up there like what I saw in Laos. Lol

    I would clarify Shamanism is not a tradition it's a religion

      I feel it's not a religion but more of a belief...shamanism isn't something you pray to or worship

      @yingyang0122 you just said it's a belief..... that's a religion. Shamanism is a religion.

      Shamanism is not a religion. A shaman is a spiritual healer. It's not a religion where someone makes up rules for a group

      @yingyang0122 your comment shows your lack of knowledge of Hmogn Shamanism.
