He stabbed her in the back along with Heseltine and Major
Major was at the dentist.
@@peterd788 No he was having a Curry!!
Should have chopped of her head instead.
Did Major resign from her cabinet?
@@michaelmccomb2594 No Heseltine who resigned years previously challenged her for the leadership while she got the most votes on the first ballot she didn't get enough (2/3) to prevent a second so Major, Clarke and almost all of the cabinet told her while they would support her they thought she'd lose in truth Thatcher's downfall was of her own making
Who the hell are either of those to talk about maggie?
Ken is the longest serving mp in the commons. He knew maggie well. Who the hell are u to even chime in. Pipe down
If being in Thatcher's cabinet her entire premiership doesn't qualify him to talk about her then what the hell does?
@@DJVEGAS1000 He was no friend of Maggie, he along with Heseltine and Major stabbed her in the back, with friends like him who needs enemies?
@@lindapatton7518 When has politics ever been about being friends? Worth remembering that Thatcher was also responsible for her own downfall, not entirely I admit, but in the end it was just a question of when not if. Even her husband wanted her to resign, did he stab her in the back as well?
@@lindapatton7518 i never said he was friends with maggie. I wouldnt even know as i dont know him. Just pointing out this entitled commenters bs
Ken Clarke the continental lid dem.
Sold his country down the river.
He Stabbed Maggie in the back Traitorous Rat!!
Ken Clarke should be thrown out of parliament with the rest of the antidemocratic politicians, father of the house my ares, he’s a senile old fool interfering in the democratic process, the sooner the old fool goes the better.
Wow u sound charming. Having a diff opinion isnt anti democratic its the opposite in fact
DJVEGAS1000 to not want to implement the will of the people IS antidemocratic, but I suppose you are a Tory so you too don’t want to leave the EU, more fool you, but you are 100% correct, I am very charming.
Ken is a legend
Do you also believe the earth is flat.
It's like an old tap, drip, drip.
fit of pique, not fit of peak!
Fockin' Laser Sights
well well well James O'Brien talking to his handler Ken Clarke, who has been a member of the Bilderberg Group's steering committee for a decade fact
Ummm - the word is 'pique'.
Ted Heath does not like or treats Mrs Thatcher like dirt. She Mrs Thatcher hated Ted Heath. But I support P.R voting system for the 650 British MP's elected to House of Commons in the British general election. Like and support Mrs Thatcher she cut income tax from 83% to 40% rate and privatised all state industries and reduced inflation from 22 % to 5% inflation in 1983. She created free market capitalist economy for Britain. I will vote Conservative. Conservative party will win the general election in the UK.
Mr O'Brien, I have listened to your full podcast. It's a great interview. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you!

She was a vile woman.
She was a great woman.

No wonder Thatcher kept Jimmy Saville close - she obviously knew all about Heath!
