I just tested these switches... and to be honest they are not tactile... they are just "brown switches" of a different color.... have you notice that for choc keyboards they key get actuated even without fully pressing them?
Compared to my Boba u4t silent, I do think that the sunsets are scratchy. I also heard a bit of ping, but as you say, I don't notice it while typing. Hopefully the scratchiness will reduce with time.
Hi, I really like using combos with my red linear switches. What you can say about using combos on those tactile switches is it as simple like with linears?
I don't use combos (tapdance?), so can't really comment on that. Otherwise, I'd say the tactiles are just okay. I like that there's some resistance/feedback when typing versus linear switches.
I later found out I should've just re-melted the solder points while pushing the affected socket down to see if the connection works instead of just assuming the socket is ruined. Saves the hassle of desoldering and resoldering.
unfortunately no. I don't have any kailh brown tactile switches. low profile tactile switches generally doesn't have that much tactile feel imho. The sunset choc tactile switches were the most 'tactile' you can get, I think.
I found out about the sunset switches a few days after receiving my browns... My first board also doesn't have hot swap pads. Do you still recommend the sunsets switches?
Tbh I skipped brown switches entirely because I couldn't feel any tactility when I tried just one single brown switch on a switch tester. I'd still recommend sunsets if you want tactility on low profile keys.

Yep, I kind of don't notice the scratchiness anymore after using them for a week or two. Maybe it's the switches, maybe it's my brain.
do you still use choc switches or got back to mx switches?
Good question. I found myself not a low profile keeb person so I haven't been using choc switches for close to a year now.

ah yes, glad I wasn't the only one who ruined a few hotswap sockets 😄

how long is the delivery for the switch to be deliver here to Malaysia?
Don't remember, about a week?
That's a very cute mousepad! May I ask where'd you get it from?
Did you try to compare these to compare these to Kailh brown tactile switches?
unfortunately no. I don't have any kailh brown tactile switches.

@@semputs they are pretty much the same... but the color changes..
Cool video! I am now using the same switches on my Naked48. I wanted to ask you which magnetic USB cable do you use?
Thanks! I use UGREEN magnetic cables

Where did you buy the keycaps from? Looking for the exact same profile for my pintador.
Hi! I bought these from the guy who made them. lowprokb.ca/products/ldsa-low-profile-blank-keycaps
