TPI Oil pump priming

Hi Dave - I'm currently running a TSP map on my 300tpi 21 since 2020/21. As with all things, I know that TSP are on a later version and to me it makes me think TSP wouldn't of updated their map unless if there was improvements. How's it work for us guys who are running old maps that want them updated? Thanks

Hi Dave, would you recommend a scheduled replacement of the pump nonetheless to be safest? Or monitor the pumps output and change once an issue becomes evident?

Just a quick note. Once you jump the connection, you have to wait a few seconds before releasing the throttle. If you hear the relay click and release the throttle without the wait, 3-5 seconds min, the pump will not operate. I was about to start trying to trouble shoot my pump before realized this!

I have stock 2022 250 xcw. When I do the check it runs for 10 sec fast and gives me about 1 ml of oil consistently. Anyone else have that experience? Thanks

You should get 1.0ML on all 2018 and 2019 TPI's. So you are good.

Te 250 2018, I’m getting 0,9 or 0,95 or near 1ml. Do i have to be worried about it?

No. He explains the earlier models do 1ml so yours is spot on

To clean the oil pump without disassembling it, I thought about putting degreaser or brake cleaner in the oil tank and running several cycles like that. Afterward, I would put oil back in the tank and run more cycles, this time with oil, and then reconnect the pump. What do you think? Has anyone already tried something like this? Should i give a try?

Hi, I also have 22' 300 exc with TSP kit and now I can't do the oil pump check. It doesn-t work anymore. It works time to time like once after 20 attemps. Is there any sollution ?
