Eureka Seven was the single most boring and drawn out mecha anime I've ever watched. The battles were boring, and short lived. The drama was so forced, you could see events happening several episodes before they happened. The best part about the show was the revelations section where they introduced some cool scifi about the scub coral and it being a haven of knowledge and acceptance, and then they completely dismissed the only good plot point in favour of forcing two mismatched romances. Great art, great soundtrack, great mech design, shit story.

This song reminds me of so many different things... Surfing, flying, disco, Electric Light Orchestra, Café Tacuba, the Zelda orchestral soundtracks (namely Twilight Princess), etc. It reminds me of all these great things, but it's still something all its own. The flow...the energy of it is completely unique. Great song!
E7 has all the feels, not just feel-good. I love that it has a happy ending though. I was afraid it was gonna go the NGE route, and frankly the troubled-children-try-to-save-the-universe-in-giant-robots-but-the-world-ends-anyways trope is used enough.
when I was younger, I was in love with Eureka Seven. now I hadn't seen it in almost 9 years when some Weeaboo was blasting this on a speaker on my college campus, when all of a sudden I felt a rush of excitement and began singing the words out loud. I loved Eureka7 as a teen and when me and this woman I was seeing before fell apart really sent me into depression.. But when I was browsing through UA-cam listening to songs to cheer myself up I ran across this gem and when read the English lyrics.. It made tear up, I feel a bit better now, accepting that she's gone but made my life a little more colorful when we were together and I hope that I made her life a little more colorful as well..

same, I don't really watch anime anymore because they don't produce good anime as much. Most of the mainstreme shit is way over rated and all about ecchi that's how they got popular in the first place. in my younger years of watching anime I used to not care about ecchi because I thought all anime had those types of lifeless filling scenes. Boy was I wrong, shit fam after watching shit like Berserk skip beat, and Ergo proxy you can never go back.

Shiro Hibana I remember now, thanks. But she wasn't beaten that badly. And in Eureka 7, Renton ends up with Eureka while in Evangelion only Shinji and Asuka are left alone in the entire world. They also have children, although their first one dies, but their son lives on and even saves them, and they get to be together again. In Evangelion, Shinji loses almost everything, except Asuka, so I guess they end up together as Adam and Eve since they have to repopulate the world, but I doubt that they have a happy relationship.

The first time it appeared, you wrote "ni nin", instead of "futari" (it's correctly written the second time this line appears, so it's probably just an oversight, I assume).
This song reminds me of so many different things... Surfing, flying, disco, Electric Light Orchestra, Café Tacuba, the Zelda orchestral soundtracks (namely Twilight Princess), etc. It reminds me of all these great things, but it's still something all its own. The flow...the energy of it is completely unique. Great song!

when I was younger, I was in love with Eureka Seven. now I hadn't seen it in almost 9 years when some Weeaboo was blasting this on a speaker on my college campus, when all of a sudden I felt a rush of excitement and began singing the words out loud. (as a white, english only speaking canadian kid, you can imagine the general confusion). It just goes to show the effect a great song can have on an anime. hahaha

But when I was browsing through UA-cam listening to songs to cheer myself up I ran across this gem and when read the English lyrics.. It made tear up, I feel a bit better now, accepting that she's gone but made my life a little more colorful when we were together and I hope that I made her life a little more colorful as well..

same, I don't really watch anime anymore because they don't produce good anime as much. Most of the mainstreme shit is way over rated and all about ecchi that's how they got popular in the first place. in my younger years of watching anime I used to not care about ecchi because I thought all anime had those types of lifeless filling scenes. Boy was I wrong, shit fam after watching shit like Berserk skip beat, and Ergo proxy you can never go back.
Eureka Seven will always be my favorite anime. Doesn’t get enough love. Also this just a kick ass song. I’ve loved it since I was a kid.
Currently watching it for like the 5th time. Have it on blue ray - all 50 OG episodes - my favorite as well and great to see people who also think the same. It’s just such a good show

Shiro Hibana I remember now, thanks. But she wasn't beaten that badly. And in Eureka 7, Renton ends up with Eureka while in Evangelion only Shinji and Asuka are left alone in the entire world.
They also have children, although their first one dies, but their son lives on and even saves them, and they get to be together again. In Evangelion, Shinji loses almost everything, except Asuka, so I guess they end up together as Adam and Eve since they have to repopulate the world, but I doubt that they have a happy relationship.
