Thanks Michael. Hmm, I have Xfinity internet. Costs me close to $80 per month. It's pretty reliable, plus they recently doubled both the down and upload speeds. I'm single and live alone, I stream a lot but I'm not a gamer... 🤔
Similar situation here as I stream only. You might want to look at the Xfinity Prepaid Internet which had the largest increase in speeds. For the same $45 a month, my speeds increased from over 50 to over 200 on the download. Great value.
XFinity is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Cable reliability is nonexistent, customer service is nonexistent and service technicians are rude and condescending.
They have retrds working at customer service. They were over charging us on tv boxes nobody was using and other stuff and they never fixed the bill after i kept calling them. Ill never get Comcrap again
Online gaming is benefited by lower ping, not more bandwidth. A 100mbps connection is going to have the same ping as a 300mbps connection unless the whole 100mbps is clogged and the packets are competing with each other
I can confirm that price. We pay $110 for internet only for speeds of about down: 263 mbps, up: 22 and ping: 14 ms. They seem to raises prices twice a year for several years.
I have 100mbps plan now at my primary residence and a 500mbps one at my vacation condo and I see no difference in performance. When my Fibre contract runs out with my local power company I’m looking into the Now plan or something similar.
I pay $71 a month for Xfinity which is about 150 mbps and includes the hotspot so it's comparable to the now internet and now wifi packages. Looks like a $5 difference.
With the ACP program running out soon, some cable companies will have to consider how to hold onto their ACP customers with newer low cost plans. I want to see how these NOW plans work out long term. If prices and performance are consistent, i might consider it.
@@Slim1423Well I can tell you that the Now Internet at $45 is essentially the Xfinity Prepaid Internet at the same price - which recently got a boost from 50 download speeds to 200 speeds. This has been a great increase as the previous 50 was actually for myself closer to 60 in speed tests usage & the current 200 is actually hitting 239-240+ in usage. For one who streams only, you can't beat the price & performance boost.
Nope even I had Comcast in my area I would not get them as with T-Mo 5G I'm seeing speed high as 800 Mbps with my averages in the 500's for 50 a month with no data cap, equipment fees, or other BS fees. It just works, and does everything I need it to do, plus with my own mesh network setup I have my whole house covered in WiFi signal.
@@gcraig0001 There are channels out there like Nater Tater that show you how to get signal from all the cell companies using external antenna setups, and far as T-MO most of it really is not 5G but 4G LTE getting those speeds, & honestly we don't have true 5G in North America it's more like 4.5G with 5G as the marketing term. Question for Michale or others. Is the new Xfinity NOW gateway a fixed wireless like Verizon and T-mobile, or is it connected to the existing comcast cable?
I just have internet and it's $98 a month . How about senior prices Limited income . There needs to be a package for seniors and not just a 3-month thing
@@Kenz3 Comcast has no low income plan for seniors. The US Government discontinued the Affordable Connectivity Program. The ACP benefit provided a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.
Comcast / Xfinity pricing is location dependent. If there is no real competition in your area (no fiber or 5G, no competing cable company), you will pay their maximum rates and heavy fees for equipment rental if you include a TV plan. They also add other fees not included in the advertised price, such as local sports programming fees and broadcast TV fees. In other words, the information you get on youtube about pricing should not be taken as gospel. Do your own research with your local Xfinity representatives and demand an all-inclusive price (includes all plan costs plus all equipment rental and other fees). Also be aware that Xfinity changes pricing in the middle of a contract, so if you sign up for a two year contract you will not pay the exact same price for the entire 24 months. They especially like jacking up the broadcast TV and local sports fees fairly often.
I do explain these points in other videos. Xfinity is broken up into several markets, with different pricing in each. Even with a contract, they are allowed to raise the broadcast TV and RSN fees -- a big reason why people drop Xfinity for TV. However, the pricing mentioned in the video you're commenting on (new prepaid plans) is nationwide for areas that Comcast serves.
Comcast/Xfinity can never be trusted. Sure they have a promotional price.. then back to the pricing games. Dropped Comcast over 5 years ago no regrets.
@MichaelSaves How do you setup prepaid plan, at the comcast store or Comcast website? Will you be able to pay with cash or card at comcast store or online?
@MichaelSaves Ok. It seems like it may be a good low cost option for any potential customers, especially those who are on ACP type plan. If it is a no contract type service, where you can leave without penalty, then it is what i am looking for.
Now Internet is nothing but headaches. Don't sigh up. I had issues with live chat agents. I had replaced my modem. Live chat won't help activate the second modem. I'm done with Xfinity.
Wait a minute, why does the pre paid internet plan get unlimited data, while my regular post paid plan plan (which I'm paying more money) has a 1.2 Terabytes of month data cap? Wtf?
@@MichaelSaves I should call into Xfinity, to see if they will remove my data cap, just to see if they would promote their Now Internet, even though I'm paying more now with a cap. I really don't want to swap out my modem router combo I have set up.
