5:34 Fall Detection does work for actual falls. I've triggered it twice. It won't work for simulated falls. Most likely, because you cushion your fall and it is looking for something that would hurt you

Regarding fall detection, I've tripped and fell a few times with my Apple Watch Series 5 and every time it recognized the fall. From my experience the fall has to be relatively hard for it to go off, which it does seem to do reliably. Guessing the Samsung watch would be pretty similar.
Same here had a fall with the iwatch and it detected it, although ironically I did not have my iPhone on me and I only have gps! The sort of fall I think it will detect would cause a real shock to ur body and is difficult to fake I would think.

Do you guys have a reference device to test how accurate these smartwatches are? Like a heart rate chest strap or something. Because, frankly, the ~80% accuracy that The Quantified Scientist found in the older versions is not really acceptable; when the Apple Watches are all in the high 90%.
Think you need an actual fall. They probably specifically trained the model to detect fake falls so it doesn’t just call 911 when you lay down to nap or are in your acting class and forgot to take the watch off.

Two questions.
1/ a bit worried about the rubber strap, as I have owned quite a few items with this rubber and found that after 2 years it becomes sticky and gives off an oil, even coating it with talk powder does not help.
2/ Do you need to own a Galaxy Mobil, like the Apple watch restriction?

Samsung rubber straps dont do that. It stays in good condition.
Is there a feature for altimeter?
looks like I'm sticking with gw4. you can go 2 or 3 years and not be missing much of a upgrade

waiting for them to make a watch fold. Have the watch face on the outside screen. Then a mini phone when you flip it open and would have room for a camera.
no body battery, no repetition counting during strength exercises, only heart rate and oxygenation?
I love my watch 6. The only drawback is the bettery life. My old smart watch is a huawei gt2e. It lasts up to 2 weeks with a full charge cycle. The only thing is that it isnt compatible well enough with my samsung phone.
Who's finally gonna give us a DURABILITY TEST on this watch? I wanna know how tough the glass is... I wanna know how much water resistant it truly is!
I don't know what you're expecting to hear but in general they're extremely durable
Is it best to get the 40mm or 44mm size
Just depends on the size of your wrist, if 44mm is larger than your wrist try the 40mm

I have the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and wow it’s not very good for fitness, inaccurate results compared to my Garmin and Apple Watch Ultra. Great watch for Android but disappointing in that area

Accuracy. The Galaxy watches have been shown not be as accurate as Apple Watches on all of its sensors. It all looks nice, but there’s no point if it’s not accurate.
But how do you know that the Apple Watch is accurate? The Apple Watch is not the standard for measuring medical information.
@@VCSoulBrothersomeone tested it using scientific measures and it shows that Samsung sensors are not accurate, however apple watches are more accurate up to 90% !

Does it measure blood sugar? I know a LOT of diabetics who would far rather wear a watch than jab their fingers 2 dozen times a day.
Measuring that through the skin is that reliable?

Heart tracking has proven to not be that great in comparison to rivals such as apple.
how accurate is it?
Very inaccurate according to the testing by the Quantified Scientist.
I always take smart watch features with a grain of salt. And you should never expect pinpoint accuracy.
Sadly the health aspects are limited and the app is not better.
On one day I played a tennis match and was active for some 3 hours not to mention weight training on the same day.
Yet somehow samsung only registered a 2500 calorie burn for the whole day. On none active days I can register close to 2000 calories. I'm not burning 500 calories running 5miles around a tennis court.
It's a shame you cannot control tje GPS for all apps. By default it works on running but not other sports like tennis.
Other draw backs. When you set up a workout you cannot see the time.
The more I use samsung the more I miss my fitbit for the fitness information yet I never had enough smart features.
It's a shame the GW6 is so basic.
I like the sleep watch but the samsung health app drains my phone battery and makes it hot

Thermometer, ECG and blood pressure testing doesn't / limited work on galaxy watches. ECG and blood pressure work only with samsung phones (in dedicated app: samsung health monitor). Blood pressure testing work only for limited countries . Thermometer only work for auto night testing. Samsung shouldn't do false advertising.
Not true, if you are the lest bit tech savvy, you can easily install the Samsung Health Monitor app on any android and it works the exact same, I have had it working while synced to my OnePlus 12R as well as my Galaxy S10+ (not at the same time obviously) works the exact same. Also not false advertising because they literally state only in some countries and that it has to be paired with a Samsung phone as well.

Samsung needs to work on their biometrics and accuracy for ALL of their future watches. No one want's to pay hundreds of dollars for smartwatches that are consistently inaccurate. I'm skipping this generation and waiting for the Galaxy watch 7. If that one is a no-go, then I will be making the switch to Apple watches. I'm sure I'm not the only one either.

I thought I was getting a good deal trading in my watch 4 classic. Nothing wrong with it, barely worn looked brand new.
Got new watch 6, sent them watch 4 classic only for them to say box empty and I would be charged full price. Now I've returned the watch 6 for refund and am now watchless because samsung employees steal.
