I went to a shop earlier and many of there stuff was made of clay (lovely earrings, really nice bowls) and they were quite overpriced so I bought one thing for myself which I thought my friend would really like, there was another shop nearby with clay, tools etc and I picked them up and now I started making them well thanks to you! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. I have been holding off on starting my jewelry-making venture, despite having collected all the necessary materials. As I enter retirement, I want to use my time wisely and find joy and fulfillment through crafting. My goal is to pursue my artistic passions which also include painting, resin art, crocheting and multimedia art styles while also potentially generating some income. However, I am concerned that I may not create items that are appealing to potential buyers. Your video has provided me with the encouragement I needed to simply begin. The charming and spontaneous nature of your design demonstrated that you were thoroughly enjoying the process. Therefore, I have decided to adopt a whimsical approach as well. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for success in my creative endeavors.

Different polymer clay brands need to be baked at different temperatures, make sure you read the packages. To be on the safe side it's better to go for 5-10 degrees less and keep it in the oven for longer time, it ensures the durability. The brand of polymer clay you use is also important. I don't bother using Sculpey III anymore, way too brittle. Premo is better but not by much. The most durable I even worked with was Kato polyclay but it smells so so bad, I had to stop using it. The second best in durability and flexibility which is also pretty cheap is Cernit. And their metallics are to die for.
If you happen to try the Arteza Clay don’t follow their directions .. they have bake at 325 for like 10 to 30 minutes … that’s a nope lol I baked at 175 for around 20 minutes and they were fine but when I read the instructions I was like no way and just tried it anyway .. of course the oven was smoking lol 😂
@@ONYEMOWORUTH I cannot help you much, I live in Europe where Cernit and Fimo are very easy to find. I mainly use Cernit because it's cheaper. Fimo is also very good and can be found easier, just make sure you read the package. It bakes at lower temperatures and it's easy to burn it. Try to search for online shops that deliver these brands.

was just wondering if everyone purchased a separate oven to bake their earrings in? Would a toaster oven work? Thinking about getting into this as a hobby/business. Thanks for this awesome video!! Your designs are beautiful.
She use the widest setting on her pasta machine you could tell because of the rib marks on the sheet of clay, If you want to Prolong the life of your pasta machine never use the thickest settings to condition on go down to two or three. It’s fine to finish up on the thickest setting but all that pressure on the cogwheels inside your machine wit prolonged and repeated passes will break your machine sooner
Hi, if you use the right brand of clay and bake them at the right temperature they won’t break easily at all. You can definitely put a glaze over it or even put resin on top to really secure it too.

If you don't have a pasta machine, you can just use an acrylic rolling pin. You can also use two coasters on either side to ensure that the slab is nice and even.
Usually just the widest setting on the pasta machine. The sculpey iii can be put through the pasta machine but I don’t use this for my base as it breaks easily. I’d only use it for the designs.
Hi! I usually use Premo or Souffle for the bases, and Sculpey iii for the designs. But you can definitely use Premo or Souffle for both base and design!

Really it is looking like that!

I usually work on the baking tile.
You can use a little bit of corn starch on your work surface.
Thank you for this video! You are clear and concise. Very helpful

This was THE BEST!! can you address when to use acrylic paints or liquid clay?
Thanks for all he details.nice video
Thank you. I enjoyed that. Can you telle are your earrings bendy when they have been baked or hard? Thanks 😊
Just slightly bendy depending on if I use Premo or Souffle as a base.
I love your videos, have helped me alot. One think i would like to ask is where do you source your ear rings and jump links from
All from different stores on Etsy.
Excellent, easy tutorial, thank you
These are so cute
You are very clever! Would love to know rough costing. For example how much would it cost you to make this group of earrings ? Tia
It looks like the mitochondria kind of. 😅😂💜 loveeeee
Great beginner tutorial! Love it. I will share it on my blog (beadinggem) in the future so others can follow your channel!
Hello what Number you use into de machine to do The foil tks
Where do you get your earring backs? And jump rings?
Hi, thanks for the video !
How do you avoid fingerprints when you press and touch just like you did on the video ? Thanks ☺️
You can use a tool to press pieces down or even wear gloves to avoid fingerprints.
How thick do you roll it out in the pasta machine?
really cool. Thank you so much for that video
Do you need a separate oven or is it safe to use your kitchen oven?
Which grade of sandpaper do you use on polymer clay earrings? Is it best to use a toaster oven or your kitchen oven to bake the earrings?
Hello, this video you had been too helpful, I wonder if I can get out the air with my hands without any other materials?
You can definitely use your hands to get air bubbles out but will probably be best to use an acrylic rolling pin to get a nice even surface.
Helpful! Thank you!
Wow these are great
You did a good job with your video
I went to an event making clay earrings and I enjoyed it and want to make earrings and many other things.
was just wondering if everyone purchased a separate oven to bake their earrings in? Would a toaster oven work? Thinking about getting into this as a hobby/business. Thanks for this awesome video!! Your designs are beautiful.
A toaster oven would definitely work as long as the temperature is accurate!
@@TheAtelieristaOfLove would there be one you recommend in particular? I got a cheaper one from Amazon and it was smoking right away :(
@@jodie6844 I use the Sunbeam multi function oven. It’s pretty good.

Thank you for this video, very helpful!how big are the jump rings?
Glad the video’s helpful! Jump rings are usually 8mm or 10mm.
What setting was the pasta roller on? Thanks for the great tips.
The widest setting. Mine goes to about 3mm.

I think I might need to get some shape cutters
Will this polymer earings hard without baking.. because i have no oven
You’ll have to use an oven to cure it.
Thankyou for sharing !
Thank you for this tutorial
I have not tried this craft yet someone mentioned I needed a separate small counter top for baking. Do I s this true?
No it's not true
Great tutorial! Do these break easily? Can you put a glaze on them for protection or a shimmer type effect?
Hi, if you use the right brand of clay and bake them at the right temperature they won’t break easily at all. You can definitely put a glaze over it or even put resin on top to really secure it too.

What do i use if I don't have the device you used at the beginning ?
If you don't have a pasta machine, you can just use an acrylic rolling pin. You can also use two coasters on either side to ensure that the slab is nice and even.
@@TheAtelieristaOfLove thanks
Hey...nice stuff.. Just wanted to know one thing.. These earrings will be heavy or light in weight..
They are extremely lightweight after baked.
@@TheAtelieristaOfLove thank you so much

Awesome video thanks!!!
Thank you for the insightful video :)
I dont have an oven so how do I bake the earrings
And can u also post what things are needed for to make the earrings
Great tutorial...I hope I heard right 50 mins in the oven?
I usually bake my pieces for an hour in the oven. Polymer clay can be rebaked over and over again as well. Start off with 30 mins and see how you go.
Loved the video. How long does it take for the bearings to become solid? Are polymer earrings dense?
Polymer clay is extremely light! I barely feel like I have earrings when I have them on.
Oh thanks ❤❤❤❤
Hi there! Do you have to get a separate pasta machine if you use your pasta machine for actual pasta?? 😅 Lmk, thanks!
I would say yes!
Ommmmgggg super cuttteeeeee!
how thick do you make the base of the earrings to ensure they dont snap? Also do you put the Sculpey III clay through the pasta machiene too?
Usually just the widest setting on the pasta machine. The sculpey iii can be put through the pasta machine but I don’t use this for my base as it breaks easily. I’d only use it for the designs.
Thank you for sharing this!
Can you name/list the polymer brand you used and its variations you mentioned. I.e one was a base and the other for design.
Hi! I usually use Premo or Souffle for the bases, and Sculpey iii for the designs. But you can definitely use Premo or Souffle for both base and design!
