Dan & Jo, this will be a bit of a ramble but you're my number one favourite revierers to watch because your tastes are so very similar to mine plus you aren't like other frag reviewers who just love everything they smell simply because the brand sends them free bottles. I always keep my pen and paper when I watch because I'm jotting down "to sample" lol and oh man the list is long...I don't think I'll ever get through it. Ha. Dan, I love Tchilia, Chypre Palatin, Areej le Doré, Tobacco Rose, Amber Aurea even though it's linear which some ppl complain about PR it's so concentrated that after showering I still get whiffs. Jo, L'Artisan was my first foray down the niche (hate that term anymore) rabbit hole and I love many of their fragrances, Oudh being the first time I smelled it but since then I've branched out to Russian Adam but I've never tried Sultan Pasha. I do have Ensar Oud Sultan Leather Attar which is, for me, amazing. And Jo I looove Antonio Gardoni/Maai but was very disappointed in MEM. I've also seen Geo F Trumper Sandalwood but becoming a perfume snob anymore I'm thinking inexpensive cologne = meh but it's true one need not spend a fortune on a quality scent. So thanks guys for this video- it's one of my favourites! Have a great weekend...
It’s great fun to hear about people’s fragrance memories and evolution. I could have guessed a few of these myself, as I’ve watched all your videos! Top ten lists are boring when people just list the notes but when they share their relationships with scent, it’s altogether different. Keep up the wonderful content! You two are a delight.
Thank you guys for suggesting Pegwell Bay. I ordered one of the small samples and it arrived in just a few days. This fragrance blows my mind and like one of you guys commented in another upload ''if this was a Creed, everyone would be raving about it'' I couldn't agree more and it's a good lesson for me as I am fairly knew in my obsession for fragrances and it just shows that it's not just the Tom Ford's etc(even as good as some as them are) that I should be looking out for. There are many ''hidden'' gems out there. Next stop is ''Sandalwood'' and then perhaps some ''Morah''. Thanks again guys for the excellent content.
Guys, awesome video and selection as usual ! FYI, i'm just back from Fortnum and Mason's, and they currently have a 50% discount on several fragrances including Trumper's Sandalwood. Got mine for £22.50 instead of £45.00 !
First westerners I see including Areej le Doré and attars in their lists. I also appreciate including Guerlain. No other UA-camr does. You guys know what you're talking about. All what you listed are sublime. I know it was hard to pick only 10 and even harder to rank them.
It reassures me that of the twenty scents you’ve picked I have a couple of them.. trumpers sandalwood is one of my beautiful scents and great to see it.. I would also say Eucris by trumpers is another classic.. really enjoyed video gentlemen
Thanks Waseem. If you do check out the L'artisan make sure you get the old gold top bottles. The new black bottles, since the company were bought by PUIG, are a pretty sad affair.
@@WaftsfromTheLoft oh dear it's a shame they've been reformulated. I'll try and get the older formulations. I always walked pass them in txmax few years back, should have grabbed one when I had the chance!
The reformulations of this house are near tragic. L’Artisan was the first niche house I visited a shop of and it was thrilling. I’ve given up on them snd after your recent reviews of their new offerings I’d say it’s time to mourn. Hyperbole? Nope.
Alright I gave in I got the Sandalwood geo f trumper, I held off last time, but it's time to get it. Ordered during video. Loved hearing the updated list gents.
I have a question about l 'Air du Desert Marocain. Does it really smell like Morocco? I was in Marrakech and there was a specific smell. Can you personally relate the scent to the streets or an area of Morocco?
Yep agreeing here too. I absolutely love it on my husband. It's his first choice of fragrance that makes me think the man has good taste and I need to hone it. LOL
Good reviews, guys. thanks. While I appreciate the gentlemen's format and wonderful choices and opinions of fragrances, may I make a small general observation having watched quite a number of your episodes now ? I've noticed on video after video, when you are simultaneously sharing the camera, Jo seems prone to contributing, on the heels of Dan's comments, in a very nice elucidating/clarifying/facilitating/supporting sort of capacity which tends to help provide a nice sense of levity and mutual respect; whereas, Dan, you seem to have a tendency, rather, to often drop (and even interrupt) Jo's opinion/train-of-thought and to allow/suffice your own to 'prevail'. It can be a bit ... discomforting ?
Bought an unopened bottle of vintage Mitsouko from 1990 and I was disappointed. The juice has lost all of it's top notes and has no longevity whatsoever- hard to relive the past, oh well. Thinking of a bottle of Diaghilev. Kafkaesque has mentioned that Chypre Palatin was reformulated to death in 2015-16, IFRA makes me think twice from ordering the classic big French houses like Guerlain, Dior, Chanel...
I never watch reviews or even follow reviewers because of lack of taste, but you guys are quite interesting & tasteful with a quite impressive favorites which makes me want to know more bout the fragrances that you discover, just please don't go on the commercial side (aka designer's and exclusives by commercial brands like chanel and dior, except if it's vintage cause i can't complaint on that)....
It has changed a LOT. When L’artisan was bought by Puig they were selling off the old bottles cheap, I ended up buying about 350ml. They were all over eBay for a long time, but perhaps no longer.

Awesome list guys well done
Fascinating! I loved it, and I am going to have to sample some of your choices. Thank you! Lisa
Thanks Lisa!
Always love the passion from you guys...as it makes me smile
Thanks!
Very fine topic..aroma from heaven
My favourite top ten video so far. Both your passion for the art of pufermy is evident 🙏
Thanks!
This video brought me a lot of joy. And sampling ideas.

That is a crazy good bargain!
Trumper's Sandalwood Cologne shows how great Égoïste used to be (but then again, it's so much more). Great list! Greetings from Germany!
Thank you!
This list is so different and unique. Would love to own each and every one from this list. Keep up the amazing work
Thanks, we'll try!

Yes, Eurcyis is wonderful. I wore it the other day for the first time in a couple of years. Classy styff
Brillaint selections both, i need to get my nose on Dzing! and Timbuktu. Nice to see Sultan Pasha's being mentioned, Irisior is unbelievable!

Masterful, sublime collection of choices. Pegwell Bay is a hidden, underrated gem.
Thanks. Yes, it really is. If Creed released it people would go nuts for it.
Alright I gave in I got the Sandalwood geo f trumper, I held off last time, but it's time to get it. Ordered during video. Loved hearing the updated list gents.
Thanks Brandon. For the price, you really won't regret it.
Trumper’ s Sandalwood is such a masterpiece. And so well priced.

Shazam! is the scent that started me down the 4160Tuesdays rabbit hole .. still ❤️
Me too!
Great vid Guys, the trumper is that edt ?
It’s actually cologne, but it performs more like an EDP
Wafts from The Loft thanks for your reply.
Breath of God is painfully (PAINFULLY!) underrated. Great lists. Cheers.
Agreed!
Yep agreeing here too. I absolutely love it on my husband. It's his first choice of fragrance that makes me think the man has good taste and I need to hone it. LOL
Waftices from the Loftices
Inspirational!
Thanks!
Maai is an absolute masterpiece, animalic, super potent, so good...
Certainly is
I love st johns cemetery by Haeckels. More so than pegwell.
Lots of people have different favourites from Haeckels, which is a great sign of quality and personality across the range
Amazing choices guys ! 👏
Thanks!
I could listen to you guys for hours. Could you please tell me, your opinion, the best opium note perfume out there?
Definitely Mandodari by Prin. One of my favourite fragrances
Wafts from The Loft Magnificent! I just order a discovery sample set from this House, including Mandadori.
Wafts from The Loft Yes and yes, I am own this one!.
My taste is more similar to Dan's. Nice to hear from you both!
Thanks!
No Miller Harris? I love those
There are some pleasant offerings, but none of them have moved me enough to purchase one
No life with that Trumper Sandalwood. NoNe. 😂 Obviously knew that Ottoman Empire II would be on there for Jo. Chypre Palatin another superb choice!
Couldn't be without them
When you get back to loft?
Soon, hopefully!
Love you guys
Thanks!
Good fun!
It was!
I'm so glad I get to watch this and not make these choices myself 😂 Great to see your choices.
I tried to pick 10 myself, 5 mins later found that I would swap more than half of them with something else 😂. Impossible task lol
Ha!
Roja Great Britain is the most opulent perfume I own, it's so full bodied
And it really takes me back to the Victorian times , it’s a leather scent you just can’t Not love 👍
Well, for that price it should smell great, do the washing up and your tax return
any idea how to order these to India
OH YES!.

Sultan Pasha is a magician.
He certainly is!
Bernard Chant doesn't even make the list?
Is it possible to still purchase a bottle of Ottoman Empire?
Note for less than about $3000, if it every comes up on ebay
@@WaftsfromTheLoft wow 😳
My choice: 10x10 fragrances for life :)
Hahahaha!

Yes, I know she is certain that Chypre Palatin was reformulated, and MDCI have passionately denied it. My bottle is from 2018 and smells sensational.
That was fun. Maybe I should get a second back-up bottle of Timbuktu!
Make sure it's the gold top bottle!
@@WaftsfromTheLoft It's the gold top bottle with the wave design.
Respek from bangladesh
Thanks!

I cant find the old Timbuktu anywhere only the new one which is supposed to have changed a lot......don't drop that bottle.

If your a frag head there’s no way you can only survive on 10 fragrances
Absolutely not, this is a gun to the head situation
Yeah like Russian roulette , that way you won’t see it coming, I couldn’t survive on ten frags ( no way) 😂😂
