Hey there Farmall fanatic this is your neighbor down in Butler county. Yeah I understand mowing those field edges back we found out we mowed back about three or four weeks of the mower from woods makes nicer rake and hey you don't have that balled up green stuff at the field edges and then when you're in the Columbine to pick her it gives a little bit more room to turn with the elevator on the picker and he augers on the combines and stuff it just makes it simpler I always figured you don't grow much out there at that edge anyhow and it just keeps the farm looking neater have a good one have fun with those red tractors

Had a long busy day today full day of work on the farm here and then the farm bureau meeting this evening for the county annual fall meeting. Just got back in read your comment there. Yellow what we grow in the field edges is whatever we plant right out to the driveways and then we do our best not to disturb the driveways and usually we still get something grows up between tracks on the driveway to do of a couple places I have over the years planted a little fescue for sod waterways we're pretty flat but still have some driveways that have a little bit of downhill slope and anywhere we get a golly that's usually what we do. I'm a firm believer in farming in strips making sure you have some established sword in between the work ground and then rotating the crops run the beef cows here we have a lot of menorch spread and always helps to get that organic matter worked in I think that prevents an awful lot of erosion well have a good night going to shut it down tonight fire up a Farmall in the morning.

How much offset will it tolerate? So you could skew the cutter off to one side and get closer to the rough edge or maybe even over it, keep knocking back the rough without forcing you to drive right through it yourself.

My one Neighborhood farmer has has 1945 year bought in 1970 from Farmall dealer in area & was in dealer inside at show room only had 25 hours on never used much only shown that all since new and row crop version! My neighbor took care of it lots and used long time on his parents farm and he took over in 1978 with one brother! He done lots Cash Crops with it and over 1200 acres worth each year to! My neighbor has it work at GM in all plants too but calls his Horsepower for H because last long time still has all 4 tires as Farm Hand brand but just upgraded to Cooper also still 6 volt positive ground last I known but year ago he put is 12 Volt Negative ground with AC Delco Alternator to plus upgraded wireing too ! But I know H motor can do my late Dad combine 1968 McCormick International 105C had one motor bored up 202 Cubic Cm size in 4 cylinder and my dad used called H motor Happy because happy get grains crop also pulled ran beautiful for 12 Volt Negative ground with AC Delco Alternator ! Low RPM was 750 and top high idle was 2150 top out to start was funny! Turn key on let fuel pump for 3 mins to full pressure get one click ever after ever 5 seconds then pull Choke control knob out and Idle notch on to first one key ignition on cold hold for 15 seconds then push to 3/4 to crank over again and she start push choke for 1/4 for let engine warm 15 mins ! Then push choke knob in and get moving to feild! That H motor great fuel save with 1 gallon of Desiel on gas fuel tank full and clean motor like brand new or fresh rebuilt!
