I'm so happy to report that as of Friday WE'RE DEBT FREEEE and for once not a part of that number!!!
Congrats Andrea. Hopefully you never go through that again.
That is amazing! What an example you are to everyone!
You'll be back soon enough lol
@@odinswar596 lol You wrong fo that
It's a good feeling isn't it. Let me ask you something. When I left the debt life in September 2016, I felt I had done something wrong, and didn't believe it, and maybe felt like I sinned in some way, and it was too good to be true. Did you have feelings like that?
"You're broke cause you're stupid"...😂😂😂
daflione I laughed too, lol. It’s funny because he’s not wrong.
I've lived below my means all of my life. Never carried a balance. When I bought my house, I had NO credit, got a 30 year mortgage with a big down payment and paid it off in 11 1/2 years. I've followed Dave's way of thinking before I ever heard of him. Thing's get old - Freedom from debt NEVER get's old!
No one cares
@@CoffeeSA96 rude
Best line ever.....Ramseys will always have a job. Sad truth. Dave you rock!!!
This is so true. I lost everything 2008. House, Car, Girlfriend, Job. Listen to Dave Rasmey. Future Millionaire
Waweru N. Gatimu gatimu nekee wekire mani?
Noted. I am working now to put my family in a good position for the next recession.
How old were you back then?
if your girlfriend left you because of the 2008 crash, she never liked you in the first place.. you should rejoice my friend..
Millionaire 10 times over my friend. God bless ❤️
The credit card companies are not dumb they are making billions in profits. The people paying interest on credit cards are stupid.
Brian Waller
I pay cash for everything using my credit cards.
@Akintola Olamide shut up scammer
Got rid of my credit card debt years ago. If you can pay cash for it, you can't afford it. I keep it simple.
Hayath exactly I've made way more money without them.
Congrats! I know it feels beyond amazing!!!
it is painful handing over cold hard cash...easy to swipe plastic no feeling doing that.
Great job! I too am credit card debt free for years now but I am confused when you said "If you can pay cash for it, you can't afford it." Did you mean, "If you can't pay cash for it, you can't afford it."?
Lewis Pike lol 😝
Not from ME!! We haven't had credit debt since 2011!
Everyone that destroyed there credit in 2008 all have decent enough credit scores again to do it all over again.
Bucko I say the same thing all the time. They got buried in 08, filed bankruptcy in 9-10 and now 7 years later (the length of time it takes to clear your credit) they are back to there old games.
Really? I've always had excellent credit. My ability to qualify for anything hasn't changed
I started carrying cash and my hand just trembles paying for a latte at starbucks!!
I am 27 and 15,000 in debt, making 36,000 a year.... I cant wait to be debt free.
D Myrick you got this!!!!
if you don't have any kids and are healthy you can get out of debt in a couple of years at the most. depending on where you live it's possible to live on 20k per year. i've lived on about 15k per year for many years. live on 15k per year and save 15k and you're out of debt in one year
I know many people in far worse shape. Keep trotting along and you will get there. Just stay persistent.
Such encouragement! Thanks everyone!
So long as you don't owe more than you make (which you don't), you're good.
It's not me!! I will be credit card debt free at the end of the month! Paid off 37k since October of last year.
How are you doing a year later? Hope all is well and your happy 🤗
Good!
Whenever I see a credit card offer come in the mail, I now hear in my head "Cheeetaaah, Runnnnnn!!"
We live in a country that encourages debt. We need more people like you preaching to become debt free!
I just want to say that these kinds of rant from Dave really made me mad and paid off my cc debt. I don't want to be a sheeple anymore lol.
Swipe your credit card every time he says the word "stupid"
Dave makes me laugh with his rants- he's absolutely right in what he says. "Did you people learn nothing? Stupid on parade!" Brilliant!
I drive past section 8 housing everyday and they seem to have better cars than me.
I know isn't that crazy. Talking about priorities.
Umm, how does Section 8 equate to people having credit card debt? Do you have any understanding of how these programs function?
yes
That might be true but don't think they have it better than you. Everything isn't what it appears to be.
RyanMiller3039 in major metropolitan it's practically a way of life lol.
I wish more people listened to your advise. Having 0 debt FEELS GOOD!
I watched this with my daughter this morning. Her question (she's 9), "Why does the government run the United States if their in debt all the time?".
Jail Break smart kid you got there.
Priceless
Yeah okay Nancy.......
@T Hambone She's smarter than most congressmen
Actually banks loaning broke people money is where the banks make the majority of their profits . Broke people have a taste for credit and they are most likely to just pay the minimum each month. Even with a large amount of defaults the banks are still making a fortune off of loaning to broke people
i learned!!!! i'm debt freeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love a good Ramsey rant! Sad sad news.
I have $777 left in cc debt. I am chomping at the bit for payday tomorrow so I can pay it off!! It's the last of my cc debt. Four CCs and they will all be at ZERO. 🍾🎊
Congratulations to you!!! I'm so happy for you. Good luck in the future mate
Me too! Have $700 left and all 3 of my credit cards will all be paid off! I'm so excited. Congrats!
Congratulations hun!!
Congratulations and welcome to the "abnormal club".
Oreo Emesis good work
I love this guy wish should have started watching his show long long ago
This is just so True. Dave, I understand your frustration.
I love the outro rant by General Ramsey! I'm amped!!!
We stopped adding to that mountain 4 years ago, now we have no debt whatsoever.
Dave went off today. LoL.
Yes, I did learn something thanks to you! I had a Total MIND Makeover. Spreading the word to my friends and family too!
Thank you sir!
Glad I chanced upon Dave a couple of months ago. Making sensible financial decisions now.
preach Dave...preach
Hell yeah. Motivation at its finest!
I love his honesty.
7:42 LOL when Dave asked if anyone doesn’t know what Lemmings is, was anyone else thinking he was going to mention the video game??
Thank you Dave Ramsey for changing our finances. We are truly thankful to be Debt Free.
9 year loan on a car at 38 % interest???
CRAZY
Don Dressel kind of like leasing a car lol. Talked to a friend of mine who's a ford salesman... They make their money on loans...moredebt salesman than car
@California_ Dreaming I wouldn't have walked out I would've ran out. They were loan sharks
This pisses me off!!! My husband and I live within our means and everytime the economy dips it effects us. Both of our incomes go down. It should only affect you. Stop living outside of your means and bragging about it!
I remember in 2008/09, all the economist would talk about on the news was how things were going to change , from now on Americans were going to start saving money and keep their debt to income ratio low. WRONG!!!
I died when he says “sWiPe It” so many times 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you sir for coming into my life at a time where I was going to go into 25k car loan. You’re awesome, I got rid of a bunch of things including my truck and got out of debt and it feel freaking amazing😌
Home loan, gone. car loan, gone since 2012. have a small small student loan and credit card. Getting rid of them by the end of the year. I use my debit card and if I don't have $$, I don't buy it.
Incredible!
Beauty fades but stupid is forever. Some people will NEVER learn.
Don’t look for a beautiful dumb girl for marriage. You will be left with a dumb grandma for the end of your life.
What it boils down to is this. As big of a nightmare as 2008 and 2009 were for this nation and the economy the world over, the fact of the matter is, people forget. 2008-2009 may as well have been before any of our lifetimes. I was in the toilet financially in 2008 and 2009. I sure haven't forgotten and I have NO desire to go back and relive it.
So glad I watched this when I was 17... now I'm never using credit
Amen! Well done!
I haven't had a credit card in over a decade now. I actually got a credit card at 17, by lying on the application about the year I was born. I figured out early on, that credit cards got me in trouble, but just recently figured out that it's not just credit cards, but ALL DEBT, that gets you in trouble. I have a long ways to go to be debt free, but one day and one bite at a time, and I am going to make it!
Wanna hear something scarier.....I DIDN'T lie on my credit card application in college (entered college at 16) and when asked on the phone call to confirm my date of birth, gave them the correct DOB, there was a brief pause (I'm assuming while the representative did the math) and I STILL got the card in the mail. Some scary stuff!!
Just shows how little these companies care. I'm not a fan of Elizabeth Warren, but something she said in a documentary called 'Maxed Out,' really rings true. She said she was commissioned to give a speech for a bunch of bankers, and she was telling them how if they screened out those who had the least ability to pay, they'd save money. To which she said a guy who was "The one with all the power," responded that if they cut those people out, that's where they make all their money. Dave echos that sentiment, as Sub-Prime lending is surging again, and if they actually didn't lend to those who had the least ability to repay, they'd lose their biggest cash cow, cause when those folks default, they get to tack on egregious hyper-inflated amounts in fees and interest.
a DAMN SHAME!!! Making money off the backs of the poor, ignorant folks who need someone to teach them!
@Avealina you are right it is all debt, car note, student loans, medical bills, and even a mortgage/rent. Don't get me wrong you need a place to live and car. However, people tend to live beyond their means by buying a car or get in a house/apartment that they really can't afford. All to impress others.
Trying to keep up with the Joneses but the Joneses couldn't care less about what people got
He's back! Yeah
That’s stuuuupppid
One of my faves
Preach!
Dave, I’m one of your listeners who is far far away from America. You opened my eye and I will teach my kids what you’ve teached me. I’m sure my kids will live abroad, maybe in America in future.
Tuul onUA-cam These hacker +18144084036 just paid of my credit card debt.
Best Rant Award!
🤣 thanks Dave. You knocked the stupid out of me 4years ago.
Imagine how affordable everything in the world would be if nobody is using plastic. If everyone lived within their means, didn't spend more than they made and bought everything on credit artificially driving up demand, the cost of goods and services would still be as low as they were in the 1960's and 1970's.
I have always wondered how much of the economy was credit, or as I call it, fake money..
David Reynolds I’m so glad I met rickcyber032 on instagram no stress he will surely helps you with any problem due to unlocking of iCloud and iPhone or credit card high score, PayPal payment if you also need have good credit card and good banks Add him also on WhatsApp +17026250929
Not sure i ever thought of that - brilliantly true!
Exactly!!
YESS!! I've been waiting for this to be a clip :) Great rant.
TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!
I love this guy
I'm done with credit cards. I just paid mine off and I cut up the card and closed the account. I'm done. Credit cards are just difficult to pay off. It requires way way way too much pain and sacrifice to get them paid off. So I'm done.
BEST. VIDEO. EVER.
It’s not just stupidity it’s pride. And you Dave, have plenty of that
There are friggin commercials for Capitol One with Samuel Jackson singing "I am so In Love With You"....You being the credit card, Amazing!
My 1 month old son listens to dave with me. Teaching him to be smart with money. Im on baby step 2 and cant wait to get to step3!
Dave Ramsey, I loved when you said "the Ramsey family is the only one who's benefiting out of this" lol
My son and I just traveled cross country without using credit cards. I'm debt free because I followed Dave's plan. I've since fully completed Baby Step 3, saved and paid cash for a new architectural roof, soffit, siding, gutters and shutters as well as a water heater and two new toilets. To those who say you can't safely travel without credit cards... Oh yes you can! I got two prepaid Visa cards and I kept one and my son kept the other. We also had cash for our trip. To those who proudly tout that you use credit cards responsibility... congratulations. As for me, I don't want to ever owe anyone money ever again, even if it's just for a day. I learned my lesson, Dave.
The problem is that the banks did learn something. They learned that they can lend recklessly and that they will be bailed out when it hits the fan. The banks aren't the problem; the federal government and the federal reserve are the problem.
I love it when Dave goes bi polar on ppl lol
Dave at his best! RANTING about BROKE PEOPLE with STUPID CREDIT CARDS 💳 💳 💳 DEBTS!!!!!!
Is realestate about to go down with all these people buying houses they can't afford? If so, I need to save up to invest!!!
Liliana Lagos I honestly believe it will in the next 3 years. I mean I'm just an average guy so I don't have any special insight but it seems as though people are back to doing the same stupid stuff they were then. A strong cash position in the next few years could be really advantageous.
John Gray It does seem that way. We live in ky and everyone we know is buying a house. We live in a small to bedroom apt with 2 kids. I used to think I was behind in life but since I started listening to Dave Ramsey I can see most of these people are probably barely making their payments. I dont plan on buying a home anytime soon unless the prices drop.
No Credit Card DEBT, but we have students loans. Once they are done, debt free.
that sad part is those are the worst debt. you will keep it till you die.
@@PardonMyFlyness not if u watch Dave Ramsey
interest rates are vicious!! never ending debt that seems to always go up, never seems to go down..
Yep - the signs aren't good - looking at house prices, negative equity, silly credit card offers. I got a massive offer from a credit card co the other day - I put it on the fridge for amusement.
You spend like you are in freaking congress!!😂😂😂😂 swipe it! Swipe it!
I cut up my two credit cards. Thanks Dave😎
I like it when he says, "explain how a credit card helps you build wealth".
The problem is not credit cards. The problem is that some people have no self-control.
Some?
jvolstad Agree I have 20 credit card with No Debt!
Marco Renteria bulshit
holdengr Believe or not! But that's a fact
The problem is both. Like 90% of the time when I go to a clothes or electronics store I'm offered a credit card. Luckily I know enough about credit cards to say no. But not everyone does and they think credit cards are a toy and take them.
In reference to Us credit cards break all time records...... Amen brother! Amen! Speak the truth with compassion.
Now that I am using cash more, I've found that I keep checking how much is in my wallet before deciding whether or not to buy something.
That's the beauty of using cash.
Don't worry dave, i'm doing the debt snowball :) :)
I wonder if Dave gets tired of saying the same thing over and over again and only a few people listen? I can tell you for one thing, not having a credit card bill every month, is very liberating. I wish more people would listen and take heart.
It’s Dec. 22, 2019. I have an appointment with Apple in 2 hours to reset my password. While waiting, I’m listening to Dave yelling at me on how stupid I am/was for using my credit cards in the past. I’m sure he’ll be proud that I have no desire to buy anything for myself and/or anyone anything for Christmas this year. If God allows me to live to see 2023, want to be debt free by then. Thanks Dave! 🥰
“You didn’t learn anything!”🤣🤣
Best thing I ever did I pay off the credit cards and never look back. Laser Focus!
I am very lucky that I had a father that raised me on Dave Ramsey. My family doesn’t do debt.
Same, hubby and I don’t have any debt except the house, was raised to never be in debts,
there ought to be a machine to shame people who use credit cards, pay with credit, swipe or insert your credit card, and hear Dave Ramsey's voice saying "you're stupid".
5:21 7:15
It helps to watch videos on frugal living, cutting costs, finding bargains, etc. to learn techniques to outsmart industry in their overpriced, over-hyped marketing. It's a contest of wits. Also be aware of when you are making impulse buys, and learn how to push the "pause" button when you find yourself in that dilemma. Sleep on it at least overnight, and decide if there is a better way to get what you want, and ask yourself if you really need it.
Buck Naked & Rover The Dog bruh 😂😂😂😂
i agree Dave
Cut all credit cards! Pay with cash 💰
BLACKBIRD 1767 no no no just be smart with debt , there's a bad and healthy debt 😉
ASIMO 3089 Says the credit-card-wielding 18 year old who thinks they're smarter than a 56-year-old multi-millionaire....
blueowl89 I'll be majoring in Finance so yea
Yeah majoring in finance in a school that needed puppies and playdo when Hilary lost
ae4xo whoa did you just assume my political party ??
swipe it! swipe it!!
Just to be a little fair I think another major issue here with credit card usage. Is the fact we never really recovered from the last recession. People nowadays have less disposable income due to everything rising. Example look at the cost of health insurance now for a lot of people. Therefore they are using credit cards to make ends meet. I have $7500 left in debt period and then I'm done!
I have to keep coming back and listen to Dave yell at me and keep me
In my place lol it works and I love it. When I feel I’m spending like a drunken sailor I come to listen to daddy Dave
That's okay Dave, because i will be ready with cash when this market turns.
I have 0 credit card debt because whenever my credit card bills are due, I pay them/it either on the site date via auto-pay, or, well in advance via auto-pay.
Please Dave, tell us how you really feel!
All i use is debit and cash now thanks dave
NASCAR engine up in the stands...lol
“Swipe it!” Lol
I started listening to Dave back in '94 or '95 or so when he first came on in the Knoxville (Oak Ridge) area. At that time it was all about credit cards and how the dog and babies get offers in the mail almost daily. Then there were the "On Air Plastictomies" where credit cards were destroyed inventively. The cards were sent in to be displayed on the "Wall of Shame". Maybe Dave ought to do a little basic credit card preaching more often. I thought we were past that, guess not.
BTW, I clipped my cards and stopped borrowing money in 1996.
I closed my platinum America Express they now have every county answering their calls. LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT ! If your status is expressed by a plastic card I’m sorry for you. David
