I think they might have been the most realistic "couple" in Hollywood. The affection shown to each other in every episode seemed so genuine and healthy.
As to plastic surgery, that's Hollywood. So glad I don't have to age there. It's never discussed, but allowing yourself to age is to say goodbye to your career. Or at least wait until you can play the elderly matron. Real young, or real old.
I miss Paul Riser's unique delivery. No one has taken his place.
literally transports me back in time... when life seemed complicated but was oh so simple... the 90's. i miss the 90's badly.... blockbuster nights.... princess diana was still alive yep. i think the air even smelled sweeter...
Everyone I knew loved this show back in the day because it really did reflect how so many young married couples were/are. I’d love to see the new one, but don’t think we have Spectrum, sadly. BTW, it’s THIRTY YEARS later, People! I think they both look great!
I do too! It's 27 years ago that it first aired, but close enough. They both are terrific in the reboot and look good too.

It's a not reboot. It's a revival. A reboot would have a new cast.
Nope, nooo, nope. A reboot is exactly what they're doing. What you are incorrectly referring to as a "reboot" when talking whole new cast would be something like the new charmed. It sucks!!!!! A reboot is a reboot and what they are doing is a reboot....k
This was a network show and the reboot should be available to all who loved the original. I saw the first six reboot episodes and Paul Reiser is as adorable as ever.

Absolutely great full & thankful tht they have come back, loved the show hated when it ended, didn't want them to end the show, so again very great full for the return..they have a bond & connection w/ each other that is equal to the love that the Golden Girls shared...

Both look quite well! I actually think Paul Reiser is more handsome as an older man then when he was younger. I always liked Jaime too! I will be watching it for sure.

People are fickle. They case ion Helen hunt for having plastic surgery and put down Justine Bateman for not having any plastic surgery.
Yup. If Helen showed up without plastic surgery, everyone would be going on about her wrinkles. Women in Hollywood can't win either way. I don't envy them.

This show broke my heart with the way it ended. I can't look at her the same way as I did when I enjoyed it once.
😕🙋🙋 SO DISAPPOINTED that they are airing this reboot on PAID Spectrum TV. They certainly did not follow the "give back" public television concept of "Will and Grace".

Yeah, I was bummed after waiting for it to start in Nov, but a couple weeks ago they were playing the old ones' back to back for days and I recorded them. In some commercial promos, they were announcing they were going to play the new ones too. In my area of Canada, it's on the CTV comedy channel (which is fairly new as well).

I didn't know there was reboot!!!! I wonder how many other people didn't know. Spectrum isn't a HUGE streaming platform. I bet there are many that didn't know. They would have had a better shot at staying around if more knew.

You’re better off. I have spectrum and I hate it. The worse cable company ever. Hit and miss when it works. I have never watched any show that ran 100% without some sort of issue.
This is only available on Spectrum? A cable company that is a rival to Comcrap, but not in the same markets? So if you only have Comcrap, you're out of luck? But they're promoting the show on the ComCrap owned network?

It was a great show, and Helen Hunt was *wonderful* in it. Perfect casting, with her and Paul Reiser.
But...
I'm not sure about a re-reboot.
Entertainment goes through cycles, and I think we're about at the end of the reboot cycle.
Plus, great competition from new programs on numerous streaming sites, now.
Helen hunt looks a lot different. I liked the original show. I’ve never heard of spectrum originals.
She is instantly recognizable though, just older. Whereas Paul doesn't even look like the same person. I didn't know it was him until they said, and even then it was hard to believe.

We all need to cut some slack to those that age in front of the public. Neither of them look like they did 20 years ago and I wouldn't expect them to. Helen's body is rockin a pink dress in episode 3 though. I'm enjoying this re-boot.

I loved this show back in the day. I must say...Wow...and not a good wow. Its exactly like it was. No growth and not funny. Disappointing
This is exactly what I was hoping for. New shows just are not funny and I am glad they are sticking with the same type of humor and witt that made the show successful to begin with.

They bought the apartment next door so Mabel could have a bedroom. So she has her own entrance.
The characters bickered too much, Hollywood thinks couples bickering is funny.
They weren’t “beloved” enough to reboot anything. The show was depressing. The season finale was about them splitting up. 😒

Wow. I was so not into them before. Now I'm really not. My parents watched that show for all its mundanity. Perhaps they felt it grounded them. But who wants to feel this incredibly mediocre?
