This is my favorite path. I ride this on my electric skateboard. The area by battery park is hectic and intimidating for new riders because of how crowded it gets. After that it’s amazing. Might do it today actually.
NY has definitely made some great improvements but there’s still a lot of work to be done. This stretch was really nice though. The only thing I didn’t like were the large bollards but I suppose those are needed for safety.
@@chicagobybike I'd be happy with what they have as long as NY keeps working on it. In New Orleans, most of the protected infrastructure is for pleasure riding. If you want to bike for utility or to get around the city, you'll have to be happy with mostly painted lanes or nothing at all, as can be seen in the videos I've been posting to UA-cam.
Thanks for the helpful tour me and wifey are going to take that path with our E-bikes this sat or Sunday, the heat wave should be over by then.

How did you get the camera work to be so smooth? There are lots of bumps along the path. Very impressive.
Thank you, dude! I'm gonna do it.
Wow! Dedicated traffic lights for bicycles. If New York keeps improving their cycling infrastructure, they made need to revert to name New Amsterdam.

Hi, what street did you begin on in Battery Park
Happy Holidays!
Same to you!
The American road signage is confusing. Is it Yield to Peds, or Peds to Yield?
As a foreigner I would read it as Peds to Yield.
Interesting observation. In this case it’s “Yield to Peds.”
Heyyy- can ebikes be used along this same route????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????/
I don’t see why not!
damn, they got bollards on the entrances of the paths 🥲 that must be nice to not have cars going through them
