Bear Encounter

While fishing in Tennessee this weekend, my friend Mike and I were fishing different sections of the creek. I was walking up the trail to meet him when a big bear stepped out on the trail. He insisted on walking on the trail, and I soon found out why. There was a bridge over the creek that he wanted to use to cross the creek. As I saw him going across the bridge, I saw my friend right below the bridge fishing in the creek. Mike never saw the bear even though he was probably within 20 feet of him. The bear moved on as I yelled at him, and we didn't have any further contact with him that day. A pretty close call!
