Great video. I am having problems registration my unit. I set up the username and password and it appears to be converted to Chinese or something. When I hit enter I get a small Chinese pop up. I also am unable to connect it to my computer to do the updates which would most likely fix the Chinese language. Any thoughts? I am at my wits end here trying to figure these issues out.
for me the BIG break-through was realizing that the user-name should NOT be an email. so make RCflyinglife. user and pass calf123445 or something like that.. when it gets more Sofisticated firmware adjust in the future. before doing this naturally - connect to your wifi.
Thank you sir - im actually thinking to boil it down more - and use just one tube - turn the cameras horizontal which gets to 68mm IPD. and align them by simply resting them on the back (screen) on a flat surface when securing the single-side clip. that will loose a lot of volume, but need a bit more care in setup.. and require sliding at least one camera off the rod to recover the memory card / charge battery.. but.. smaller.
@@Sailing360 I do like having the battery doors up so I can vent heat and plug usb power into the cameras, and access to the cards without moving anything.

How easy or difficult was the initial set-up process for the CALF VISENSE? During the initial login/ sign-up stage after unboxing... did it ask for your email ID/ username, password, phone no., etc... to create your account? After WiFi connection... did it download/ update the camera firmware?
ONCE it worked - it was easy - they only wanted a user-name (no email) and a password basically click on registration - then enter a user-name and password (twice) click submit.. done. After WiFi it connected and told me the firmware was up to date. according to support there will be a fresh firmware update in a couple days. BTW. very accurate wondering about the setup - their server seems to have crashed / overloaded - so a lot of tries were bounced for a couple days.

Strange with this video not sure if it’s the format / device Audio seemed low on the tv, same time different devices seem to have their own processing of audio. the Calf Visinse can be ordered at the moment yet - it is STILL pre production firmware - personally I expect them to fix most of the glaring issues - but they are very clear that even when fixed - they intend this camera to be the instamatic - not having a ton of pro features..
@@christianlamb much DIFFERENT - it is immersive 180vr - the iPhone / ego / BeamPro cameras are 3D video. 180vr is stereo like those but 180 degrees on each cameras.
Another thing with uploading onto youtube, it only displays the current CALF 2 resolution at 4k. I wonder if youtube will detect and display the upload in 8k if CALF 2 reaches it's promised resolution.
youTube cuts off at 4K end of story - at least at the moment. you can use DeoVR for higher resolution. *interestingly, I uloaded identical 6k and 8k files and and found that the 8K had significantly better details than the 6k while playing back in UA-cam 4k. so it IS worth tossing larger files after youtube.
Thanks for the video! I’m actually using a GoPro 11 rig with horizontal side by side with one camera upside down. Davinci resolve pretty easily auto aligns rotates them and creates the stereo alignment. I designed and 3d printed a rig that allows you to change the ipd. I rented the canon rig and captured some side by sides and I actually think the GoPro results are sharper and cleaner, but it falls short of the canon in dynamic range… and frame rate at full resolution.
I have found the exact same thing - did a bunch of shots / video clips with resolution targets - there are no doubt the dual-GoPro hold its own against the canon - the canon's dynamic range is a different story - but for that price it really better be. I rendered the GoPro 180vr to 10k for kicks and it actually hold a bit more, which makes sense being the sphere is about 4900 pix diameter. if one was looking for resolution, probably render to 12k and then edit / render to 8K later for cleaner pixels. but a nightmare of yet more file size for the raws LOL. BTW updating the Wat Phra Kaew video, it was shot handheld with the dual GoPro rig, I had a loose screw (literally) and got vibrations, Mistika sorted it and got most of the shot to look better in the process, should be uploaded in a day or two. but thinking I have to toss it on DeoVR to really see how sharp it is.
Thank you I thought I was seeing things but it is true the canon just isn't as sharp or clean. I have watched so many videos shot on the two different setups the canon falls short. I really think the best solution for 3D VR180 is to use a two camera rig or a device with 2 sensors and lens. If they want to use one sensor like canon then they have to be of a larger size or resolution or the image circles need to cover more pixels.
@@kamenwaticlients its very close tho - if you take the still-shot with the canon it holds up - just the video is a smidge less defined. *in all fairness, proper post-production of the canon likely get that detail back, there is a reason most "pro" production are done with the 5.2mm dual lens, but on RED cameras with huge data raw pipeline.
@@kamenwaticlients for the canon Im shooting compressed in the camera, but I render from the VR-utility app to Prores LT or 422, in final cutPro I apply 1.5 sharpening and then when edited render to ProRes again.. then use FF-tools to compress to h265 its virtually the same thing I do with the GoPros - edit and apply a slight sharpen - then export to ProRes and compress after the fact. Probably my best GoPro result so far is the sailing video from Jomtien Thailand, only in 4k on UA-cam - better in 8K on DeoVR ua-cam.com/video/o769jNuHI3M/v-deo.html
YES I have scanDisk extremePro card in it. the TF is a fairly typical Chinese manufacture (and others as well) label - meaning they did not pay license fee to use the "microSD" sticker. but works the same.
there's a market for vr180 streaming in the adult industry and possibly mixed reality or game streams , nature streams , i really wish there was a live platform in vr
thats probably very true - im 100% positive you are right about the adult industry, VR live-cam why not. I can see live streaming a lot of events. but think like you said games probably more likely to motivate people to both own and use an headset.. the game experience in the VisionPro is amazing. (but also probably 17k black magic cameras)
I pronounce it like "Vie-since". Sounds better to my english-speaking ears as two syllables, especially after the one syllable from "CALF". A lot of other consumer electronics products have similar prosody.

You know the live streaming is for porn right? It's VRCam girls. So yeah, there are a lot of people watching live streams in their headset lol. Also, I got my CALF Visinse yesterday and it's trash. The video quality is worse than my Insta360 EVO and the lenses introduce horrible chromatic aberration on most of the picture. It's almost unusable and I will stick to the EVO until they fix it in FW if that's even possible. Tempted to just return it.
yes I know - about the main use for live-streaming - and people behind calf and calf 2 - are more or less adult content creators. yeah in the current condition the Visinse is kinda useless - the upside is the incredible ease of use - down side - until firmware completely changes when we have at the moment - I rather use dual GoPro's because the result of your effort is not worth the work at this time.

Dont listen to him. The only micro sd card that can write at 100 mbs is the Delkin UHS-II V90 that is what i got and it is perfect!

Good call on the pronunciation - seems lately I keep running into a lot of names that dont flow easily in English.
I don't think there's any hope for the mics, they sound terrible.. but the good news is usb-c mics work great without any issues
