My first tattoo is a recycling sign on my shoulder because of Satyricon in 1993. It changed my life. I don't even explain it to anyone anymore because no one else ever knows MBM. Kinda funny looking back and actually seeing Jack in a video.
I was reading some sort of local news article recently about contamination of some sort.. and some posted the comment “asbestos lead asbestos".. we locked eyes and had a very intense bromance for 5 seconds. I just randomly bought one of their albums in the 90s having no idea what I was getting. Damn.. what a masterpiece.
This song Always spoke to me about my past addictions. How When I was high. I always feel I had the state of mine to quit and say no, but as soon as I was withdrawing.. And was out! I couldn't help but think and feel to Use again. The chorus to me.. Kind of sums up my feelings about that. Thankfully I was able to get out of that cycle.
This album is the whole reason I got the recycling sign tattoo on my back in 1993. And that lap steel? He truly made the lap steel guitar electro and BEAUTIFUL!
i saw that tour, i think... i thought it was perhaps earlier than that though, because i remember them doing a gang of stuff from 99%. What i DO know though, is that i went deaf for three days after seeing that show.
i don’t understand why this album isn’t more recognized.. it’s not as ‘industrial’ and vicious as 99% but the production is mindblowing.. you can get lost in any given track for hours hearing different things in it
Yo tard! Summer of love was a media hoax. I was 19 back then, and I got laid by 20 different chicks. Same as the year before. There was nothing special about 1967.

+Jan Klaus Saludos !! ( me lo encuentro aquí por accidente y no tanto, dado que yo suelo agradecer muchas cosas en sus fuentes ! ) Y si nos encontramos con certez a que a amnos nos gusta MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO
I saw Meat Beat Manifesto live a month before I turned 21 in 1993. Dropped a hit of acid. Supreme Love Gods and 808 State opened up the show.
seen these guys live with 808 State in ‘93 - MBM really killed it
and Supreme Love Gods, in Boston. (well, me, anyway)
ATL for me amazing show
Saw the same show in Baton Rouge, my introduction to electronic dance music. And what an introduction.

I dont even know how I came across these guys about 15 years ago but man My life is all the better for it ♻️
the association between MBM and the simple recycling symbol has been ingrained into my mind now

This song (and Satyricon) never get old. Absolute desert island classic.
The original and both Orbital and Aphex Twin remixes are all incredible tunes
Classic! Never get tired of this! Year's can go by and every time I listen to this it's always great! Never get's old or boring! Love it!
Sounds old to me
Yeah great just yet still there is no peace nor love.
Yup..!👍👍😁
This band continues to fascinate me. Especially their videos.
Very true. They are a timeless trip. Lots of musicians after sampled and/or stoled mbms work imo bc it was ahead of its time
@@UFOs2025 Well to much people remixes they songs, like Aphex Twin and Boards Of Canada
Meat Beat had the best video effects I've ever seen during a live show!
You never saw CV nor Beatnigs or C+C or...
@@harrymay2528 If you saw CV I'm very jealous
I saw them in 1990 open for NIN in Detroit. Amazing. Had dinosaur dancers.
Kickin' it old school. Damn I still love this almost 30 years later!
Rick Nelson almost 25. Shit we're old enough
Right!?
90's is the best era of all kinds of music (all around the world).
huh)) on 90s i thought - its poor era of music))) i was young)) i made mistakes))
I love this to death. I hope he tours Australia again. Jack please come here. your are a true pioneer !
Dan Rossi truth
I WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE WHO'VE BEEN LISTENING TO THIS FOR NEARLY THIRTY YEARS KNOW THAT THE PEACE & LOVE CHANT IS FROM A SONG BY MANDRILL.
Whoa!! thank you, never knew this
I found it, thanks ! ua-cam.com/video/k1CDIcTLCC8/v-deo.htmlsi=aACtbXw7L4etkhcQ&t=824
Was introduced to these guys by a couple dudes with a freezer full of acid and I never turned away...
yup, sounds about right!

Takes me back to the year 1993 when I saw this on a local music video show(I have this recorded on an old vhs video).
This is like the best example of the Phyrgian mode in pop music. Also, an amazing video.
This is my song through and through. Most listened to, most beloved, most meaningful. If I could only listen to one last thing, it would be this.
In the next world, this is what music must be like all the time.
@tonyorsini5255 and the more I see.
This song sucks though

Bass is boomn on this particular upload.
they headined the first winter music confrence in miami bayfront park in 1992 i was there and it was fucking awesome
dude the guitar strings on the beggining gives me goosebumps
Ikr?
Who else ever used a slide guitar like Jack Dangers.
Gives me goosebumps, too. Even after almost 30 years.
The world needs more of Jack's voice. I am Jack's underrated voice 😞
I remember when they opened up for 808 State back in 1992 or 93. Then a couple of ither times after that.
i saw that tour, i think... i thought it was perhaps earlier than that though, because i remember them doing a gang of stuff from 99%. What i DO know though, is that i went deaf for three days after seeing that show.

@@EricShans oh wow... I saw them at the ritz in NYC.

One of my top 5 all time albums if I could only choose 5 to listen to for the rest of my life.
Seminal album for sure.
Curious to know those other 4. Mind letting me know? Good taste

Glorious in all Forms!
This world needs the 3rd Summer of Love NOW ! We need people to get out and dance all this mess away !

yes 90` full of deep raving uk hip hop
These guys make some of the best tunes I've ever heard. Been a long time fan of old school industrial but I'm only hearing these guys now. Phuk me!
I like this song... the song that talks about piss and loaf
havent heard this mix before.love it.
doesn't get more dreamy/funky than this (still......)
I like the visual effects.
top project still after all these years!!
Peace peace love love
no denying that bass line
Really an Hymn of ancient electronic
All this time I had no idea that Orbital’s “Remind” was supposed to be a remix of this song.
Saw them in this tour. Wow
What's it like to see god?
PEACE. LOVE,
weirdly I discovered the orbital remix first ( mind the bend the mind) can't decide which i prefer
The vocals fit better with the Orbital mix I think
the orbital track was so good they just cut the vocals out and rereleased it as remind on orbital 2 , it's a mixing masterclass
Beautiful
timeless
Quite trippy! :-D
Masterpiece
Still amazing
Get the kicks out of this type of music check out Finitribe ,I remember this track when it was released
