Dharma Trading Co. dyes are really important in this technique, I've tried other dyes and nothing even comes close to D.T.C. dyes. Great tutorials, Thanks!!!
I totally love dye specs so I will be trying this with my shirt right side out and up Also I love dying in the much so going to try that as well. Thank for the vid love the blooms.
Have you tried spraying plasti-dip on the baskets? This will cost them in plastic and help prevent rust. Love your dyes! Tried this out tonight. Hopefully it turns out!
That's a great idea. I've been thinking of much more complicated solutions to the rust problem but spraying them sounds like it just might work. I'm definitely going to try this! Thank you for the suggestion :)
Amazing results! How do you rinse it though so that the dye from one part doesn’t stain other parts of the pattern? Do you wash it inside out, same as during the process?
These are beautiful. I tried to follow your tutorial on 2 pillow cases. I used shitake and timber wolf under and plum blossom and raven black over. I peeked and it doesn't look pretty. Hoping for a good wash out.
Hi! I'm sorry, please, I don't speak English very well and because of this I don't have time to understand spoken speech a little. Tell me, please, why do you use foil balls that are placed under a T-shirt? Do they help to give more texture?
I haven't done anything that big so far... I did purchase a cotton shower curtain with the intention of making a video of the dye. Sooooo hopefully I'll release that soon fingers crossed nothing goes wrong! Lol
I've tried! Not so great at achieving the contrast and depth in color as powder dyes :/ It's worth a try though! See where the experiment goes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I do dark colors on the bottom. I've tried mixing it up and doing it the other way a few times and it always come out muddy... Which might be interesting but not usually what I'm going for :/
I've tried this! It actually make the places where you place the foil balls pop more. Since the rest of the shirt is flat it just kinda soaks up the dye in the areas while the spots with the foil get lighter and blooming. I like more of a contrast but it might be nice to try flat. Definitely might look cool with a few different colors on the same tee 🤔
@@icetries6017 I tried your technique earlier! but didn't have enough ice to cover entire shirt. so there were some dye specs from powder which turned out so cool! love how you can't mess this project up. but love this video! my favorite ice dye video on UA-cam!
I LOVED that you didn’t cut the video! Making it idiot proof for us newbies!
Sweet! I'm so happy it was clear! That was totally my intent. Looking forward to making more :)
I’m surprised there is so little difference in the shirts. Both are beautiful ❤️ they look like big beautiful purple flowers 🌺
Your dyes are always incredible!!

I hope it washed out well! Sometimes you get unexpected results but always learning ☺️
Could you do one in more of an organic pallette? I would love to see one!
Love it! You should make onesies too!
Why inside out? Haven't seen that before? Thank you!
Would this work with a mens hoodie? Will the dye bleed through to the other side of thicker material?
Great video, thanks for the information.

Very cool :)
Have you dyed a bed sheet? I would like to dye a cotton bed sheet using this method. The result is amazing

@@icetries6017 I'm sure nothing will go wrong. I can't wait to see the results
Can u use liquid dye? Such as RIT?
Just put down a curtain using your “dye in the valley” method w/ Power Berry and Coral Pink. We’ll see how it turns out?!
Can you do this with liquid dye you think???🤔

Dear is soda ash supposed to smell bad?
Adorei!
Can’t wait to try!
Do you prefer darker colors on the bottom or top layer?

Do you use soda ash ?
Have you ever used salt ice?
I haven't 🤔 would that melt faster or slower?
@@icetries6017 it melts slower then normal ice but doesnt usually come in cubes
what would happen if you dye with the shirt flat instead of compacting it.
