Я был на этом выступлении , и не знаю почему я прослезился Михаил 34 года. Я увидел чудо в голосе , это просто космос . Я не когда не ощущал такой эмоции. У неё шикарный голос просто до мурашек заглядывает в душу прямиком . Я горд что это звезда нашей страны России . И даже не России если , у неё космический голос пробирает до мурашек. Да всё просто. На основную звуковую частоту воспроизводимую Дианой накладывается обертональная звуковая частота с гармониками как на основной, так и сопутствующей частотах. Отсюда рефрен. Отсюда полифония. Но!!! Этому никто никогда никого не обучит. Этот голос уникальный во всех отношениях. Стоит ему только раз прозвучать в твоей голове и хочешь ты этого или нет, но 'подсаживаешься' на него как на чистый героин) с первого раза. Шутка. Голосу Дианушки, этому магнетизму низких частот, чарующим звукам верхнего регистра, сумасшедшему по красоте миксту объяснений нет и не может быть. Хоть разложите на миллисекунды, атомы, кварки. Дыхание перехватывает. Феномен. Нельзя забывать, что помимо потрясающих природных данных, за этим волшебством стоит ежедневный, многочасовой труд Дианы. I agree with your comment about her branding. She should definitely be better known outside Russia. I think one reason is that she is not yet comfortable speaking English, as far as I know (she does sing in English and other languages, but speaking and singing in a language are two different stories).
Her higher education is far more important at the moment. Only when that's complete can opportunities arise with theater, stage, movies etc. She does not want to be that "child star" who becomes ruined with fame and ends up hating her profession because of business contracts dictating her creativity and freedom etc. Not sure I made much sense, but she talks about this in her latest interview. Sadly, many people think if you're not a world star by age 16 then you're a "failed artist". Even Dimash was still competing at age 24. People are too impatient.

All the time with comments, the problem is that education is highly undervalued and everybody, who's committed to it, is looked at as being weird In addition, there's the hubris, that fame, like oil has no worth, unless it's under western (american) control.
Sometimes I think that Diana not a simple singer. She has a shamanic voice that hypnotize everyone, and you falling down to another reality that you never know before. The gentleman who stood up in the jury, is the husband of Russian uber-soprano Anna Netrebko, so he knows powerful voices! He was just stunned by her. Diana has no manager and very little financial backing (yet). But she has a great family and good friends behind her. I'm pretty sure those low notes at the beginning were sung with a high vocal placement. Essentially the whole song was in head voice, but with chest and nasal resonance added as necessary. Her full modal voice has gotten so deep and full in the past year it's almost unreal. I like the hollow organ sound she goes with sometimes. She's so good at formant structure and just doing what she wants with partials and overtones. There are some high level choirs that do this kind of thing to better harmonize with each other. She also has a High Arched Palate, which is what allows for certain overtone qualities like the breathy/smokey effect. It's like an extra resonator that other people don't have. Not everyone can hear her partials/overtones. There's a small minority of people who have ears naturally able to pick them out from the fundamental pitch. Choir groups that delve into this kind of thing will do ear training so they can pick out the overtones and learn to modify their vowels to better harmonize with each other (despite having different timbres).
@@mokiO_O Since I don't speak German it was difficult to research, but the two who seem to know the most about it are Anna-Maria Hefele and Wolfgang Saus. Anna-Maria has a UA-cam channel and Saus has a website called Oberton. Diana's earliest vocal coaches probably did as well, but one of them passed away last year.
@@kunou4527 ok so I remember seeing Anna before and I can sing with overtones a but myself, and I don't personally think Diana is using overtones for the polyphonic affect. If u look at people like lalah Hathaway they use techniques that sound incredibly unique and nothig like Anna. I believe Diana is using a method like that but much lower because she has that range

Diana is still only an eighteen year old university student. This seems to be her priority. In fact, this TV show was filmed during a break in her classes.
Enjoyed your take on her....the background is as extraordinary as the performer. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on UA-cam. Two months ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of UA-cam 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers. Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. Diana might not have the best managers, but she is on her second tv show, and as the contestants have pointed out, she will never find the right handlers. She should learn from her experiences and take her career into her own hands. I have no doubt this show will expose her to the country and make her a crown favorite.

She already trained her voice even further at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow where she studies, yet she is still super young (18), and personal experience cannot be exchanged with the very much always needed learning, doing drills after drills after drills (Like Dimash). So in this way it is good she can experience so many cool performances first hand, live, inspired, and also singing 9 songs from different genres will be challenging but rewarding in the long term. Some details of this performance: The ShowMaskGoon is a new TV show on Russian NTV channel, every saturday (5 episodes left, 4th already aired), where best/winners of 3 music shows (The Mask, You are Super, Superstar) perform, and vote giving 2 to 9 points to each other at every episode's end. So those sitting up there are the other singers, Diana sits with them when others perform. Plus the guest star of each episode, this time it was Yusif Eyvazov (opera singer, tenor, he stood up during the performance). They got only one 9 point, one 8 point, etc. So they are forced to give 2 points to someone, and they wont vote for themselves. She got 7x 9 points, 1x 8 points this round. The guest star of this episode gave 1 point to everyone equally = 72 total. In each round, the participants will be offered nine topics: for example, one will perform a folk song, the second - a song by a Grammy award winner, the third - a rock hit , etc. " The nine categories are: "People's Hit", "Song of the End of the 20th Century", "Soviet Song", "Hit from Every Iron", "Song of Your Choice", "New Music", "Song from a Movie or Cartoon", "Rock Hit" and "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates". Yet every human's reality is truly different, i shared to links to some videos above where there were english subtitles that includes intros with her backstory (her You are super full performances includes intro about her background, telling us why that show choosed her), she smilingly talking about her truly awful, tormented childhood breaks my heart every single time i see it. Just like when she didn't get any votes in the Voice kids, yet she was beaming smile with sparkling eyes and were happy for the claps and that she could sing..... Good afternoon! You are the only one who absolutely correctly described the property of Diana's voice. I think it will be interesting for you to know the fact that last year, when Diana graduated from school, the RSA was going to enroll in the best music school in our country. This is the Gnesin Music School. So, as soon as she submitted her documents there, the school management categorically refused to give her the opportunity to enroll there. Diana was very upset. She entered another theater institute. But the most amazing thing is that the best vocal teacher from the Gnesin School is engaged with her. Only Diana takes private lessons from her. We Russians were very upset by such inexplicable behavior of the leadership of the Gnesin School. By the way, Diana has her own channel and she sometimes publishes recordings of her vocal lessons.

The people she is competing with here are well known Russian singers. They are scoring each other. I think it will spread knowledge of her all the more.
There are two reasons why Diana is not on TV very often. 1) Diana's studies are at the forefront (she is a student, 18 years old). 2) Her talent pales in front of half the stage. And then there's Russia's most famous singer, Alla Pugacheva. She is called "primadonna" in show business. She is an influential person in this sphere. Alla has a song with the lines "Live in peace, country! You've got ALL ONE me! Everything else is in the shadows. Well, sorry." And here comes Diana, who pushes Pugacheva into the shadows! Of course, Alla does her best to shine less of the spotlight on Diana. That alcoholic? 😅 Saiko doesn't understand a bit in what's going on in Diana's life. I don't think she's even heard anything what Diana said herself about her priorities in life... She only says like a broken machine: to become famous she must sing only in English, she must sing only in America, she must sign a contract only with an american label... america this, america that.... Hi from France! Great reaction! Listenig to her voice live is one of my target in life. "Operatic" is a good description, moreover the man who stands up and and his hands in front of his face is a tenor of international class. But Diana's voice is also so rich in powerful harmonics that sometimes it feels like her voice is doubling up and there are two people singing in unison. I don't know many performers who master this technique at this level, there are Diana and Pelageya. Another thing is how she projects her voice, we feel it as if it makes us vibrate from within, we resonate with her. The problem of the her World fame isn't a problem, the Diana's way is just intellegently traced for some time. She is 18 y.o. and she studies in one's of the best art school in Moscow like Juillard. Now she is participating in this new talent show with other 8 singers: 9 step with 9 song of the different genre. Every singer vote the collegues from 1 to 9. There is only one external judge. This is the first step, next Saturday the 6th. Thank for your competence.
Remember that Diana just turned 18... even Dimash was still doing TV shows and not famous until age 26.. I don't think she has a manager yet.. She has to get through GITIS (college) still... then the world is wide open for her.. I say lets give her time to continue developing.. This latest TV series we saw a big improvement in her head voice and high range... I am surprised that there aren't Record Labels lined up at her door though.

I agree with your comment about her branding. She should definitely be better known outside Russia. I think one reason is that she is not yet comfortable speaking English, as far as I know (she does sing in English and other languages, but speaking and singing in a language are two different stories).
Her higher education is far more important at the moment. Only when that's complete can opportunities arise with theater, stage, movies etc.
She does not want to be that "child star" who becomes ruined with fame and ends up hating her profession because of business contracts dictating her creativity and freedom etc. Not sure I made much sense, but she talks about this in her latest interview.
Sadly, many people think if you're not a world star by age 16 then you're a "failed artist". Even Dimash was still competing at age 24. People are too impatient.

I'm pretty sure those low notes at the beginning were sung with a high vocal placement. Essentially the whole song was in head voice, but with chest and nasal resonance added as necessary. Her full modal voice has gotten so deep and full in the past year it's almost unreal. I like the hollow organ sound she goes with sometimes. She's so good at formant structure and just doing what she wants with partials and overtones. There are some high level choirs that do this kind of thing to better harmonize with each other. She also has a High Arched Palate, which is what allows for certain overtone qualities like the breathy/smokey effect. It's like an extra resonator that other people don't have.
Not everyone can hear her partials/overtones. There's a small minority of people who have ears naturally able to pick them out from the fundamental pitch. Choir groups that delve into this kind of thing will do ear training so they can pick out the overtones and learn to modify their vowels to better harmonize with each other (despite having different timbres).

@@mokiO_O Since I don't speak German it was difficult to research, but the two who seem to know the most about it are Anna-Maria Hefele and Wolfgang Saus. Anna-Maria has a UA-cam channel and Saus has a website called Oberton. Diana's earliest vocal coaches probably did as well, but one of them passed away last year.

@@kunou4527 ok so I remember seeing Anna before and I can sing with overtones a but myself, and I don't personally think Diana is using overtones for the polyphonic affect. If u look at people like lalah Hathaway they use techniques that sound incredibly unique and nothig like Anna. I believe Diana is using a method like that but much lower because she has that range

the performer. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far
northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where
she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was
still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage
therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the
first to recognize something special in this little girl, and
eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because
it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without
impediment.
Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in
street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a
Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the
age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV

Some details of this performance:
The ShowMaskGoon is a new TV show on Russian NTV channel, every saturday (5 episodes left, 4th already aired), where best/winners of 3 music shows (The Mask, You are Super, Superstar) perform, and vote giving 2 to 9 points to each other at every episode's end.
So those sitting up there are the other singers, Diana sits with them when others perform. Plus the guest star of each episode, this time it was Yusif Eyvazov (opera singer, tenor, he stood up during the performance).
They got only one 9 point, one 8 point, etc. So they are forced to give 2 points to someone, and they wont vote for themselves.
She got 7x 9 points, 1x 8 points this round. The guest star of this episode gave 1 point to everyone equally = 72 total.
In each round, the participants will be offered nine topics: for example, one will perform a folk song, the second - a song by a Grammy award winner, the third - a rock hit , etc. "
The nine categories are: "People's Hit", "Song of the End of the 20th Century", "Soviet Song", "Hit from Every Iron", "Song of Your Choice", "New Music", "Song from a Movie or Cartoon",
"Rock Hit" and "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates".
This song in this first show is for the last category "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates".

Yet every human's reality is truly different, i shared to links to some videos above where there were english subtitles that includes intros with her backstory (her You are super full performances includes intro about her background, telling us why that show choosed her), she smilingly talking about her truly awful, tormented childhood breaks my heart every single time i see it. Just like when she didn't get any votes in the Voice kids, yet she was beaming smile with sparkling eyes and were happy for the claps and that she could sing.....
Yet I know it was long ago, and happy who she become today. Not candle light but atom bomb in the darkness. And just appritiate her talent.

I think it will be interesting for you to know the fact that last year, when Diana graduated from school, the RSA was going to enroll in the best music school in our country. This is the Gnesin Music School. So, as soon as she submitted her documents there, the school management categorically refused to give her the opportunity to enroll there. Diana was very upset. She entered another theater institute. But the most amazing thing is that the best vocal teacher from the Gnesin School is engaged with her. Only Diana takes private lessons from her. We Russians were very upset by such inexplicable behavior of the leadership of the Gnesin School. By the way, Diana has her own channel and she sometimes publishes recordings of her vocal lessons.

1) Diana's studies are at the forefront (she is a student, 18 years old).
2) Her talent pales in front of half the stage.
And then there's Russia's most famous singer, Alla Pugacheva. She is called "primadonna" in show business. She is an influential person in this sphere. Alla has a song with the lines "Live in peace, country! You've got ALL ONE me! Everything else is in the shadows. Well, sorry." And here comes Diana, who pushes Pugacheva into the shadows! Of course, Alla does her best to shine less of the spotlight on Diana. Here's an example of how 15-year-old Diana easily out-sung the adult Pugacheva.

Saiko doesn't understand a bit in what's going on in Diana's life. I don't think she's even heard anything what Diana said herself about her priorities in life... She only says like a broken machine: to become famous she must sing only in English, she must sing only in America, she must sign a contract only with an american label... america this, america that.... As if american showbiz can't ruin a young artist's life.
She's young. She need to learn, to develop her skills and voice, not to be a new bag of money for someone...

Great reaction! Listenig to her voice live is one of my target in life.
"Operatic" is a good description, moreover the man who stands up and and his hands in front of his face is a tenor of international class. But Diana's voice is also so rich in powerful harmonics that sometimes it feels like her voice is doubling up and there are two people singing in unison. I don't know many performers who master this technique at this level, there are Diana and Pelageya. Diana is recording an album with songs written for her and her voice. She's only 18 and say she doesn't feel ready for writing yet. She is student in one of the most famous performing arts school in Russia (GITIS) and has also a personnal coach.

The problem of the her World fame isn't a problem, the Diana's way is just intellegently traced for some time. She is 18 y.o. and she studies in one's of the best art school in Moscow like Juillard. Now she is participating in this new talent show with other 8 singers: 9 step with 9 song of the different genre. Every singer vote the collegues from 1 to 9. There is only one external judge. This is the first step, next Saturday the 6th. Thank for your competence.
Remember that Diana just turned 18... even Dimash was still doing TV shows and not famous until age 26.. I don't think she has a manager yet.. She has to get through GITIS (college) still... then the world is wide open for her.. I say lets give her time to continue developing.. This latest TV series we saw a big improvement in her head voice and high range... I am surprised that there aren't Record Labels lined up at her door though.

If u like unique vocals u should listen to Demetrio Stratos, Ima Sumac and Genadi Tkachenco. the first two passed away years ago, but the latter is still singing and if you react to his performance to Georgia's Got Talent u'll have goosebumps for sure ;)
